She was calm and casual and that helped me relax immediately. I was looking for a makeup artist who could do natural makeup, and professional photography. This was a Linked In photo after all. I didn't want to look like I was going clubbing. She nailed the makeup. The shoot took place right here in Ventura and she chose several spots on Main Street as backdrops. I ended up winning a giveaway on Instagram with Glory to do my make up. I had a friends wedding to go to and decided to use it. Glory is professional, warm, and genuine. She asked me what my dress looked like to get some inspiration. I typically don't wear a whole lot of make up (minus mascara and eye shadow). I told her I wanted more of natural look but she could go a little more glam with my eyes. My make up looked gorgeous. So many compliments! Wow! Glory was amazing! She had to do my make up for three different scenes for an up coming Web Series. Her professionalism was wonderful and she was really fun to chat with. My Makeup needed to be spot on to look correct on film and she made it happen. She made me look lively, then like I was dying, and finally liked I had passed on to the Other side. All three were so different and so believable. So if you need any work for Film or Television, Glory is Glorious. Simply Amazing!! Glory did my make up for my wedding in June and not only did she create exactly the look I wanted but she went above and beyond to help me. I was initially going to do my own make up but decided 3-4 weeks before that I wanted a make up artist and seeing that my wedding was in peak wedding season, everyone was booked including Glory but she triple booked her day so she could do my make up. Glory did my makeup for our annual family photo session. She is super talented, I gave her very little direction. I have problem skin and when she was done it looked flawless and felt light. After I've had makeup done in the past I usually have to go home and fix it up... brows, lips, and whatnot. But it was perfect and stayed on all day even through muggy beach weather pictures. I am truly thankful and honored to have had a make up lesson from Glory. She fit me in her busy and sought after schedule. From her first response on my inquiry, she was very welcoming and made me feel excited to have her expertise in achieving the right way to apply make up and also in creating a new look. If there was something that we tried, and I was uncomfortable with the look, she would change it, and erase it if I felt it was too much. She really listens to you, and even has you bring your favorite dress or outfit and shoes so she can get a feel of your vibe and personality. When teaching a technique, she will demonstrate it first, then has you do it so you learn hands on. She explains the different products, what to use where, and what tools and brushes used to bring everything out. We did a everyday look, and then bumped it up to a night out. You learn little things that make a big difference, like adding a touch of a bright shadow to brings things out, and darkening areas to make things appear to be gone. (Like making your face look skinnier, or your nose appear smaller) She works with your own make up and tools, and also uses her own make up and tools, and will write you a list of everything she used so you can reference it and purchase them if you would like. Her studio is very clean and quaint. She makes you feel very comfortable, and like your playing dress up with your best friend. She has mad skilz in the Mac line. .
