Knowing we needed to get our brick stairs repaired, we absolutely wanted to do the same bluestone treads. Chris stopped by and we worked on a slightly adjusted plan vs the neighbor's house. Chris did all of the work end to end... Researching my specific questions, acquiring the materials, and scheduling us within a couple of weeks. His team of masons are expert! They did an amazing job including the part I was most concerned about, core drilling the bottom treads and resetting the hand railings. Core drilling and setting in a cement product is the way to go. The railings were loose when we purchased the house. They are firmly set and should be for years to come. I am so glad I noticed them on a walk. So many of our neighbors are slowing down, stopping, or asking questions. I think the work is a hit!

It's the home of the 24 carat gold shovel, absolutely RIDICULOUS labor charges that have nothing to do with reasonable hourly labor rates. Make sure you get a detailed estimate in advance (preferably 2 or 3) and, if work starts and something changes along the way, get an adjusted estimate and approve it before proceeding. My Dad also had a hedge that needed trimming, I asked the business owner if he could do it, he said yes! and asked for directions to see it when he left here...(3 minutes away,) he never showed up, never called at all. I asked him if he could get rid of some poison ivy in a flower bed, he said 'yes,' but he couldn't spare one of his guys 30 min's. to do it before they left. Huh.
