However, a couple of things really get to me. 1) Every time I go I feel immense pressure to buy product. I understand why they suggest the products, but I can't afford a bunch of expensive skin care products. If I could I prob would, but I truly can't justify it with my budget. Even when I express my financial concerns I feel I am still pushed to buy and feel guilty saying no. 2) The last time I was there (3/8/25) I had scheduled a moderate peel. I somehow ended up with a diamond peel or something like that for almost double what I was expecting to pay and wasn't made aware my service had been changed until I got to the register. I think some where during the conversation about what I was there for the Esthetician changed the service on me in a subtle way so I didn't know I was essentially agreeing to a more expensive service without being made aware. This was very upsetting as again, I am on a budget and I felt tricked. I came to the conclusion that purity is a better place for a person with long term skin goals and a large budget to dedicate to it. Not a person who just wants an occasional peel or facial. At least that's how I have felt after my few times there. For that reason I will not be going back

Dr. Szabo saved my life…read more After seeing a different derm at a different practice over the course of a few months and three appointments regarding a mole on the sole of my foot, I was told each time it was "normal." Although, I had not been seen at Alta Vista in a few years, the staff worked me in. I returned to Dr. Szabo. She took my concerns seriously and immediately biopsied it and called me a few days later with results after hours with concerning news. It was a very serious acral melanoma. She urged me have a oncological surgeon remove it asap, which I did. And luckily, my sentinel lymph biopsy showed the cancer did not spread to my lymphatic system. She and her staff have been following me closely and gone above and beyond to make sure I have routine skin check appointments. This practice and the entire staff have gone above and beyond for myself & my family! I have no set "schedule" when I go here; I literally pop in randomly when it works out- today, I want to go but just realized because I went last night last minute at 8:45, I won't even be able to tan at all today- furious. It's such a disruption and now they waste the money I spent. I'm not interested in being able to complain to a website- allow people to have their own schedules and utilize when they're able to- what a joke; not a lot makes me upset like this, especially when it's something like tanning; but this is my money and I'm resorting to now having to go 1 or 2 times per week because of this crap. I worked in tanning industry for 5 years in college and if someone wanted to come in 2 days in a row because they couldn't make it in for the last 5 days of the week, that's what they did.
