I'm SO happy I found Elite Eye Group! I called over four different places before finding them. Even with offices that accepted my insurance, I was still being quoted a huge out-of-pocket cost for a contact lens exam. Not only did Elite Eye Group have a great price point, but the entire customer/patient experience was amazing from my first phone call to walking into the office. The office itself is beautiful, clean, modern, and elegant. The doctor was amazing, and the receptionist at the front was so welcoming and helpful. You can really tell they care about the experience they give their patients. Great service, great pricing, beautiful office, and an amazing team. 10/10. highly recommend Elite Eye Group! I'm so glad I found them! read more

Review for Elite Eye Group - Sicklerville I'm very disappointed with my experience at Elite Eye Group in Sicklerville. I initially tried to schedule an appointment by phone, left all my information in their voicemail system, and requested a callback -- but no one ever returned my call. Because of the lack of response, I decided to go in person the next day. When I arrived, the front desk staff member (a white woman with glasses) opened the closed glass window and, before saying anything, pointed to a sign that read "Sign in and sit down. Do not stand." She told me the same thing -- even after I explained that I was only there to schedule an appointment. The office was empty, but the atmosphere felt strict and unwelcoming, almost like a military-style environment: no knocking, no standing, follow signs, no conversation. When I tried to discuss insurance, she first told me they don't accept the one I mentioned. After I told her I had another one, she seemed disappointed but confirmed they do accept it. Still, no appointment was offered at that point. Instead, she gave me paperwork to fill out and instructed me to return with my insurance card, noting they don't accept photos. After I returned the completed forms, another staff member (a man) took them and began typing without asking what dates I was looking for. He was chatting with the woman and drinking water while I sat waiting again behind the closed glass window. After about 15 minutes, I had to remind them that I was there to make an appointment. When I asked if Tuesday was available, the same woman abruptly said they don't offer services on Tuesdays. When I asked for a morning slot on another day (so I could come before work), she responded that they were fully booked for all morning appointments for months. Overall, I felt that the attitude and behavior from the staff -- especially the woman at the front -- were dismissive and unhelpful. She made me feel like a burden rather than a valued new patient. Her demeanor and tone were not welcoming, and it felt as though her main role was to keep new patients away, not to help them. I left without an appointment and with no desire to return. I hope this feedback encourages Elite Eye Group to re-evaluate how they treat walk-ins and potential new patients. read more

In 2022 my daughter had an eye exam and showed she needed new glasses. We ordered them and when we came to pick them up there were 3 ladies on the other side of the glass having conversations ignoring us. We made eye contact several times. I ended up calling the office to get someone to get us so we could get her glasses, if they weren't already paid for I would've left! Fast forward to 2023 and it's time for a new appointment. They called to set it up and I told the gentleman that we have a new provider, he asked why and I told him exactly as I stated above. His exact words "well that sounds like it never happened. Have a nice day." And hung up. Never will I recommend this business! read more

Really nice people using state-of-the-art equipment. Great experience all around. I would recommend this practice to anyone. Apparently some of the reviews online that were less than favorable we're about the previous owner and his staff that we're here before January 2019. . read more

Very rude, confrontational and abrupt front desk receptionist! She shouldn't be working in patient care or customer service. I've been a patient of this practice for over 15+ years (since the prior owners) and such a disappointing change of care with the new doctor and staff. They charged me for a contact "fitting" even though I've been wearing the same contact brand for 30 years. To contact fit, they didn't have my new contacts (same brand I wear) in stock but still charged me for the "fitting." The dr said, "if you want your script renewed you have to pay for the contact fitting," but never performed the service! The doctor was rude during the exam, insisting I come back for several visits and didn't want to give me the contact script on the first visit. They billed both my medical insurance and my eye care insurance for the same visit. Not only did they double bill both insurance companies but it cost me more money than prior years with no eye care insurance plan! This place is awful, I'll never be returning and warn anyone who considers medical care from this office! read more

Dr. Ellis has been my eye doctor for 23 years and I trust him to give me the best care year after year. I am one to ask a lot of questions and Dr. Ellis always takes the time to talk with me about any concerns. My 9 year old daughter has been seeing him since she was 3 years old. At our last visit we found out she needs glasses and Dr. Ellis was very patient with all of my questions and I definitely had a lot! The office staff is always friendly and attentive to anything I need whether it's double checking my insurance coverage, ordering a box of contacts, or scheduling an appointment with my rigid schedule. read more

Elite Eye Group - Optometrists Near Me - Sicklerville, New Jersey

See all

This is the worst optical place I have ever been to. I went for my annual checkup and they messed up on my prescription for my glasses. So when I went to get my new glasses at a store other than theirs they would not fix the problem for me. Said because I didn't buy the glasses from them they could not fix the lens for me with the correct prescription even though it was their mistake. Very unprofessional!! read more

Always get great care here. Dr Klatz and staff are very friendly and helpful. Good selection of glasses as well. Appointment availability is accommodating too. read more

Very disappointed. The staff always seems to mix up my information and when proven incorrect their never apologetic. We were told we needed to reschedule an emergent appointment because we were 20 min late. When in fact we were not. The receptionist was not at the front desk when we arrived and when she came back 10 min later told us we had to reschedule. When We explained it wasn't even 20 min past our appointment time, she quickly said we were going to wait . We waited about 40 minutes. When in the room, The Doctor did not introduce himself and asked my husband 2 questions and gave him an prescription and told him to come back in a week. When we took the prescription to the pharmacy it was not completed and we waited 2 days for the doctor to correct the RX. Never again! read more

I'm not sure why this place has gotten bad reviews. The eye doctor was very good with me, my husband, and my young son. Informed us because we were new to the area about pine allergies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm bringing my oldest next week for his yearly. read more

Unsatisfied With The Service at Elite Eye Group. I payed for a black Transition Tint and Anti Reflection coating on my lenses. The same I have ordered for the last 15 years. I purchase 2 pair of glasses each year. When Ordered my lenses at Elite Eye Group I repeatedly confirmed with the optician that I want the same tint as I have always. When I picked up my glasses all was fine until I wore them on a sunny day. To my surprise they darkened into a royal blue tint. I returned to the office to inquirer about the color of the Transition Tint. I was told that the Anti Reflection coating was the cause. I was not informed when I purchased them that the anti-reflection coating could cause my lenses to become royal blue. As I stated earlier that the optician confirmed that the tint would be the same as my old eyeglasses. He refused to correct the problem. Unless, I payed the substantial full cost of a pair of new lenses. Disclosure of significant information that will impact the color of a customer's lens should be disclosed at the time of purchase. If I was informed of this information I would have refused the AR coating or visited another provider. read more
