I initially tried to schedule an appointment by phone, left all my information in their voicemail system, and requested a callback -- but no one ever returned my call. Because of the lack of response, I decided to go in person the next day. When I arrived, the front desk staff member (a white woman with glasses) opened the closed glass window and, before saying anything, pointed to a sign that read "Sign in and sit down. Do not stand." She told me the same thing -- even after I explained that I was only there to schedule an appointment. The office was empty, but the atmosphere felt strict and unwelcoming, almost like a military-style environment: no knocking, no standing, follow signs, no conversation. When I tried to discuss insurance, she first told me they don't accept the one I mentioned. After I told her I had another one, she seemed disappointed but confirmed they do accept it. Still, no appointment was offered at that point. Instead, she gave me paperwork to fill out and instructed me to return with my insurance card, noting they don't accept photos. After I returned the completed forms, another staff member (a man) took them and began typing without asking what dates I was looking for. He was chatting with the woman and drinking water while I sat waiting again behind the closed glass window. After about 15 minutes, I had to remind them that I was there to make an appointment. When I asked if Tuesday was available, the same woman abruptly said they don't offer services on Tuesdays. When I asked for a morning slot on another day (so I could come before work), she responded that they were fully booked for all morning appointments for months. Overall, I felt that the attitude and behavior from the staff -- especially the woman at the front -- were dismissive and unhelpful. She made me feel like a burden rather than a valued new patient. Her demeanor and tone were not welcoming, and it felt as though her main role was to keep new patients away, not to help them. I left without an appointment and with no desire to return. I hope this feedback encourages Elite Eye Group to re-evaluate how they treat walk-ins and potential new patients.

I ended up calling the office to get someone to get us so we could get her glasses, if they weren't already paid for I would've left! Fast forward to 2023 and it's time for a new appointment. They called to set it up and I told the gentleman that we have a new provider, he asked why and I told him exactly as I stated above. His exact words "well that sounds like it never happened. Eye exams were not an option, and I was worried about not being able to order enough contacts to get me through the craziness of next few months/year. I mean, sheltering in place was bad enough...did I need to be blind while doing so? Dr. Goldschneider wrote me a script which allowed me order enough contacts for the year. I was so incredibly grateful. I knew this man would be my Optometrist for life! Fast forward to 2021, I made an appointment at his office to meet him in person for my overdue eye exam. The space is BEAUTIFUL. Modern furniture, fixtures, and equipment. And so clean you could eat off the floor. The staff was so warm and knowledgeable. I love visiting healthcare offices where the staff seems genuinely happy to be there! Safety precautions were followed, equipment was sanitized, and everyone was wearing a mask. Patient visits are staggered so no one is hanging around the waiting area. My eye exam was extremely comprehensive. The complete health of your eyes is taken into account. He is thorough and talks to you so you know exactly what is happening. You can tell he cares for his patients. Mike Kennedy is the business Optician and he is also amazing. He makes sure that you are comfortable and happy with your new glasses and frames. Those on the front desk are just as welcoming and caring. I first met Dr. Ringel when I was inquiring about Laser surgery. Although another place said I was…read morea good candidate for it, Dr. Ringel disagreed because I was suffering from dry-eye and laser (and now Lasik) would make my condition worse. Dr. Ringel has been treating me for dry-eye and found a solution that will work with my eyes. My eyes no longer itch, look red, or have pain from constant rubbing. When I was seeing flashes of light in both eyes, Dr. Ringel saw me often and referred me to a specialist for more evaluation and to concur with his diagnosis. He also caught the beginning stages of cataracts which he will treat when it becomes necessary. Dr. Ringel and his wonderful staff put patients first. They are friendly and courteous. They take the time to answer my questions, often repeatedly, without being annoyed. The Optician, Lou Giorgi, is in the same office, so my prescription is sent electronically and I don't have to travel to get glasses or contacts. Never had a problem with my glasses purchased here, and cleaning and small repairs are free. It's a personable but professional office. I had a skin tag under my eye and one on my eyelid that bothered me, but my dermatologist wouldn't remove them. A surgeon in Dr. Ringel's office, Dr. Johnson, removed them. I highly recommend Dr. Ringel, his colleagues, and staff.
