A friend suggested that I check out Donna's and I'm glad we did! First of all, Donna is extremely responsive. She usually answers email inquiries within an hour or so, but I've never waited longer than a day for a response. In correspondence with the school they are always polite and informative. One of the selling points for me on this studio is that they don't push you to buy a million things and their tuition is affordable. Kids in the three and four year old combination class aren't required to wear anything particular and aren't required to purchase shoes until they know they are performing in the recital. That is a huge relief considering you never know how kids are going to be in terms of sticking with something. Another perk is that boys dance for free at this studio! They just have to pay the registration fee and then a costume fee if they choose to dance in the recital. This is an amazing option if you have both a son and a daughter. The studio itself is well lit, clean and spaced out. There is a large waiting area for parents where we can see in to the classroom and check out with the kids are up to, but the kids can't really see out to the parent area. The studios are spacious and mirror lined. Everyone we've interacted with at the studio is extremely friendly and my kids absolutely love their teacher and the aide. If you are looking for a dance studio, I highly recommend you check out Donna's.

The instructors are all wonderful, and willing to work with and accommodate kids with different abilities and at different levels. My kids have loved every one of their instructors from DeStella. There is a bit of an emphasis on the competition team(s) -- no pressure to join, just a lot of pride on their awesome accomplishments. But, "recreational" dance instruction is also available. The weekly classes run roughly the length of the school year, and end with a massive (long) recital. The classes seem to generally teach technique at the beginning of the year, then switch to a "recital dance" focus partway through.

THey are first class SCHMOOZERS. Much of their business is older people who are easily swindled. THeir contract is very one sided, long and tedious. My advice is NOT to pay for any dance lessons up front---NEVER. WHY would you? All this does is give them leverage. THEY are not honest. They are greedy and will try to stonewall all of your questions. If you die, move, break a leg--YOU are screwed with them. They just want your money up front to pay commissions. They are deceitful. Read other reviews on line of MARIO Cardinali the owner. He doesnt care anything about his or his companies reputation. He just wants your MONEY and has enemies in at least 2 surrounding states..... Beware too of their elaborate prices . You can get world class skiing or private lessons in concert piano for cheaper. The teachers, instructors play into the Aurthur murray silly formula, checking off your progress and achievements however small.. You are treated like a first grader and given extraordinary compliments to butter you up. All I can say is GO ELSEWHERE, dont step foot in here.The building is stale and workers not world class for the amount they are charging. Authur Murray studios are franchised.
