Great business, treats people well. When I had to drop a class I was already enrolled in due to…read moreinjury, Donna was very gracious and offered an unexpected refund. I really appreciate a business that is kind to people.

As a parent new to choosing extra activities, I was overwhelmed at the amount of options there are…read morefor dance schools in the Murrysville and Monroeville area. A friend suggested that I check out Donna's and I'm glad we did! First of all, Donna is extremely responsive. She usually answers email inquiries within an hour or so, but I've never waited longer than a day for a response. In correspondence with the school they are always polite and informative. One of the selling points for me on this studio is that they don't push you to buy a million things and their tuition is affordable. Kids in the three and four year old combination class aren't required to wear anything particular and aren't required to purchase shoes until they know they are performing in the recital. That is a huge relief considering you never know how kids are going to be in terms of sticking with something. Another perk is that boys dance for free at this studio! They just have to pay the registration fee and then a costume fee if they choose to dance in the recital. This is an amazing option if you have both a son and a daughter. The studio itself is well lit, clean and spaced out. There is a large waiting area for parents where we can see in to the classroom and check out with the kids are up to, but the kids can't really see out to the parent area. The studios are spacious and mirror lined. Everyone we've interacted with at the studio is extremely friendly and my kids absolutely love their teacher and the aide. If you are looking for a dance studio, I highly recommend you check out Donna's.

I finally tried out V3 on the recommendation of a friend - I wish she had spoken so highly about it…read moreto begin with; I would have gone sooner! The experience was a good one, and if I were going to be staying in Pittsburgh, I would likely buy a membership! I was recommended to V3 after looking for a place in Pittsburgh that does hot yoga. I had heard they were good, but wasn't sure how long I'd be in town, so I didn't sign up for a membership or even take a first visit. That was a mistake. They offer free seven day trial memberships and so I finally went in for a visit. The forrest yoga class was AWESOME. I don't remember the name of the lady who instructed for that class, but I think it was a double name (like Anna Lee). She was friendly and professional, gentle yet challenging. The class was full enough to have comfort in numbers, and small enough to allow the instructor to actually see everyone. She made enough comments throughout the class to give people feedback and encouragement as to their form. Having had some exposure to yoga but not being an expert, the feedback was great! I'd go again, and probably will when I come back for a visit. In the meantime though, it was a worthwhile trip and their prices looked definitely reasonable. *I've been to Core Power Yoga and another major chain. The instructor here was comparable in knowledge to even the "big names", and the atmosphere was definitely more personal. **The class I went to was a hot yoga class; their calendar is on their website which lists which classes are hot classes and which aren't. Major props to them for that one. ***The negative point which stands out the most to me is their reviews on Google maps and places; every review reads as though it could have easily been written by an employee of the facility, and some clearly were. One even included a claim by the owner of "I guarantee it!" If the organization were to remove these artificial reviews, I would recommend V3 much more readily.

Two years ago, I was a yoga newbie…read more I've never been athletic or flexible; I never had good balance. I was a gymnastics and dance school dropout as a child, and I've never liked working out. Plus, I'm in the over-50 demographic. The only reasons I even considered trying yoga were: 1) on the advice of a personal counselor who thought it could help me unwind; and 2) the attractive pricing offered by this studio (then called V3, now called Take Yoga). Honestly, I was hooked from the first day. The instructor for my first class (Leigh Ann) was young but wise, patient and clear in her instructions. She never made me feel as if I "didn't belong," and has been a source of inspiration and encouragement ever since. I am now a faithful practitioner and usually get to two classes a week. I would come more often if I could! Each of the instructors at this studio has a different teaching style, but I have enjoyed all of the classes (even the tough ones, and the hot ones) despite the fact that I'm often the oldest student in the room. The atmosphere is welcoming and non-competitive, and the other students are friendly. Plus, the place is as clean as can be. What yoga has done for me: My balance, posture and strength have improved remarkably. My family has noticed that I'm calmer, and I feel more centered. Yoga has helped every aspect of my life; I'm convinced that it helped me recover from recent foot surgery and now that I'm back on my mat, I'm a happy camper. I highly recommend this studio! Namaste!
