Not a day goes by that I don't receive a warm welcome at the door or input on how to deal with a new behavior. FACILITY: Each room is fully decorated with kids' art - and is frequently changed with the season and corresponding holidays. Each kid has their own (or a shared) cubby. There is a mountain of toys and books throughout the classrooms. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are always exceptionally clean. A argument could be made for the lack of natural light in the building - although, I like the fact that our son is in a safe environment with limited windows and a single point of entry that is near the director's office. OUTDOOR SPACE: The pick-up/drop-off lane and parking areas are all clearly marked - with plenty of room for everyone. I've never had an issue. There is an outdoor play space, which, to be honest, is a bit small; however, as you can see, the size of the space is only one of two minor complaints I have. ACTIVITIES: Seasonal parties, visitors (e.g. balloon artist, Children's Museum puppeteers, etc.), options for the Gymagic Bus or Happy Feet programs, movie days, and other fun special events are a part of the regular monthly schedule. There are also weekly slots for a music teacher, the use of sensory bins, and designated days for the letter and number of the week. COMMUNICATION: We receive a daily "report card" detailing our child's mood, meals, nap, diapers, and activities. We receive a monthly newsletter and calendar that covers all activities, curriculum, and other notes of interest. Simply, the open line of communication is exactly what I would expect and prefer. OVERALL: We are very happy with APTG and everything it has to offer. We are confident that our child is receiving the very best type of education, interaction, and activities. We know he is in good hands every single day. He is happy to go to school - and even more excited to tell us about his day. We've found that he is not only developmentally on par with other children his age but often exceeds even our own high expectations for him. I wholeheartedly endorse APTG as a superb childcare learning center for even the choosiest of parents.

Because I've stayed at my jobs for years I didn't have a third reference I no longer had the peoples number so it was a problem. I've seen jobs posted put interested I get nothing so if you are looking care.com is a better alternative don't bother with east wind they clearly don't want to be bothered.

Just over a month after the nanny started, she told us she had some changes to her personal life and wouldn't be able to nanny for us anymore. When we brought this to East Wind, they talked to her, and it seems like they probably strong armed her into continuing to work for us when she didn't want to. When she quit a few weeks later, East Wind Nannies was unwilling to work with us to find a replacement, demanding an entire placement fee. Their fee is based on a percentage of the nanny's yearly pay, so we ended up vastly overpaying for a nanny that lasted less than 3 months. Despite telling East Wind Nannies I'd be happy to pay a pro-rated fee and continue to work with them for years to come, they refused to work with us, and so now I feel I must warn any potential future clients of theirs - stay away! They pretend like they're a partner to your family, but at the end of the day they just want to make money, and don't care about a long-term positive relationship with the families they claim to serve.

Drawing upon the vision of Mother Elizabeth Seton, the center was established to offer a diverse range of programs and resources, including child-care services, senior services, and music and theater programs. Through these offerings, the Elizabeth Seton Center has become an integral part of the Pittsburgh area, fostering creativity, learning, and intergenerational connections. I've been here in several occasions and have been impressed with their continuing support of the arts and the community. Most recently to attend the very first play that my son, daughter, and son-in-law performed together in. It was a very well done production by The Heritage Players of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. It is a fantasy play based on C.S. Lewis's novel, depicting the magical adventures of the Pevensie siblings in Narnia. They discover a wardrobe that transports them to this enchanted realm, where they aid the lion Aslan in defeating the evil White Witch and restoring peace. This timeless story, filled with magic, love, and courage, that was captivating. Catherine & Alan played Mr. & Mrs. Beaver and Matt played a guard to the evil White Witch. Rooted in the legacy of Mother Elizabeth Seton, the first American-born saint and the founder of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, the center is committed to providing compassionate care and support for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. In keeping with this mission, the Elizabeth Seton Center offers high-quality child-care services, creating a nurturing environment for young children to grow, learn, and thrive. The center also places a strong emphasis on senior services, providing essential resources and opportunities for older adults to engage in social, cultural, and educational activities. Through these programs, seniors can participate in stimulating and enriching experiences that promote physical and mental well-being while fostering meaningful connections with others. In addition to its focus on child and senior care, the Elizabeth Seton Center has established itself as a premier destination for music and theater enthusiasts in Pittsburgh. The center's performing arts programs provide opportunities for participants of all ages to explore their creative potential and develop their talents in a supportive and inclusive environment. Home to the Heritage Players, a community theater group with a rich history of producing diverse and engaging productions, the Elizabeth Seton Center's theater programs bring the magic of live performance to local audiences. Through this collaboration, the center contributes to the vibrant arts landscape in Pittsburgh while offering a platform for performers to share their passion and skill with the community. The theater area is a spacious 300-seat auditorium with a excellent sightlines but the seating is old school wood and the acoustics can be challenging due to the high ceilings and the shear size of the auditorium The Elizabeth Seton Center's musical offerings further highlight the organization's commitment to promoting the arts and community engagement. Through concerts, workshops, and other events, the center fosters a deep appreciation for music and encourages both emerging and established musicians to showcase their talents. Bottom line: The Elizabeth Seton Center is a vital institution that exemplifies the values of its namesake, Mother Elizabeth Seton. With a strong dedication to child and senior care, as well as a deep commitment to promoting the arts through music and theater programs, the center continues to make a profound impact on the lives of Pittsburgh residents. By providing a welcoming space for learning, creativity, and growth, the Elizabeth Seton Center remains a true gem in the heart of Pittsburgh.

It is host to the Heritage Players who put on live performances throughout a year. I've seen my sister do productions with a couple of theather groups throughout the years. I would have to say this has to be the best one by far. The theather is old and has a bit of a 1950's nostalgia feel to it. I'm all for nostalgia but they could use some better seating. I was satisfied with the stage area acoustics and lighting making for a perfecting musical or play experience. If you're wanting any concessions for the show it's not really anything special as it's reminiscent of a table we'd see at elementary school functions consisting of candy bars sodas & a few other little snacks. But did offer a little alcohol. I would strongly recommend to BRing CAsh as consesions doesn't accept cards. I don't know about tickets as my sis gave me those free. I'd love to spectate some plays here in the future. I actually enjoyed myself a bit & will look into what else this Center has to offer.
