I want to love Studio B. I love Miss Kat and many of the other moms. My child has fun; and isn't…read morethat what it's all about? But when it comes down to it, the place is going downhill and fast. My child has danced there for a couple years. The first year was fine... I think? But maybe I missed the warning signs because I was new to dance. The second year was stressful, but we made it through. And even returned for a third year because my child loves seeing friends and Miss Kat. We will not be returning though for the following reasons: -there is not enough staff. Bridgette is usually teaching and her son or a volunteer is in the office. Neither of them ever have answers for normal questions. It leaves you to be rude and interrupt a class or have to chase Bridgette down between classes. -fundraising funds are somehow missing until the very last class. Then you can't even use all of it. But they can't give it back to you. So you have to "donate to the parent organization" or sign up for summer classes to use it. -costumes are always missing and changing. You blindly pay $100 and get a $25 costume. -waiting room is always crowded, crazy hot, and dirty. Not to the point of being super gross. But like it only gets cleaned one day a week. -generally unorganized. The songs were changing the week before the end of the year recital! If you want a place for your kid to get out energy, it's fine and okay priced. But if you want nice recitals and competitions, find another place.

Brigette and her staff are excellent! I would highly recommend Studio B to anyone who loves dance…read more My daughter felt welcomed and accepted and loved. She has learned so much and is progressing well.

The first class is free, so at the recommendation of a friend who goes regularly we decided to check it out. You need to sign up online and see which category your little one falls in based on age / ability. Mine is a "beast" which is very fitting. Before your class the teachers at the little gym contact you to welcome you and let you know what to expect, which I thought was a nice touch. We received a video message from the teacher and felt very welcomed. When we arrived for the class we were greeted at the door and given instructions to let us know how to proceed. Once in the classroom the teacher had great energy and encouraged us to meet our children where they were and participate as much as we were able to (as parents) to encourage our children to do the same. Our son wanted to run around and touch everything (of course) but it was encouraged and we felt like it was a safe environment to foster his independent spirit. There are some structured activities but also time for free play. Overall we had a great time and it looked like everyone else did too! I highly recommend checking this place out if you have a little one with lots of energy!!

It would be five star if it wasn't so expensive, particularly the recital costs…read more We have been going here for five years. The instructors and classes are simply wonderful. Our children are young so I can only speak to the younger ages. They have a variety of classes (though the times of the classes are not friendly to two working parent households or single parents). There are three studios, but I think they are outgrowing this space. The waiting areas are often quite chaotic. There is also no changing area, so you are relegated to the two stall restroom or your car. They do fundraisers (Sarris, etc.) but be forewarned- it is money for the studio, not to defray your costs or pay for recital. This is a for-profit business so this aspect has always bothered me. There is no pressure to do it. Unfortunately we will probably go elsewhere next year due to costs. This year's' recital cost was $422 for two daughters who each only take one class per week. This does not include recital outfit photos, which we do not do anymore due to cost- $45 minimum package for one pose, and if wanted to have our kids in a picture together it would be another fee just for that. $422 for our younger daughter to be on stage for 4 minutes and our older daughter for maybe 7 minutes? Just insane. I guess as long as people keep paying, they will keep charging high costs.
