I've been receiving letters from the city suggesting we add it to their historical registry, so we wanted to make sure this was done right. I was given Matthew's number from another painting service I had called due to multiple high ratings on Angie's list. This other service was booked up, but recommended Green Peaks due to some projects they had done together. Matthew was quick to come out and very reasonable with his quote. I appreciated his down-to-earth approach to letting me know what I needed. He's knowledgeable, friendly and confident in his work. I searched around for painters with good reviews. Several were booked, but I was able to receive 4 total quotes. Our house has multiple overhangs and is full of nooks, crannies and decorative trim associated with an old Dutch colonial. It had been baking in the sun for quite some time and needed some real TLC. Of the quotes given, his was lowest and I felt the most comfortable with his assessment of the project. His communication was great prior to, during, and after completion. The crew were considerate and focused. We had to leave for much of when they were working, but they didn't need us around. We had a TON of caulking to do (they even suggested areas they felt needed more attention) and a fair amount of scraping and priming. I'm sure it was a major challenge. They did fantastic work!!! Never complained about what probably was a larger job than originally planned and actually offered to do things that I hadn't thought of in order to make the house look even better (like color schemes on downspouts, how to work around deck shading, etc.). They kept everything very clean as well. You are welcome to contact these guys to get my address if you'd like to see the work. I highly recommend them and feel blessed they had an open slot for us. Rick as usual is detailed, works very hard, attention to all details, we took off the old base board which was MDF, and got real wood base boards. Found wood rot behind the stove as well, un leveled flooring in the laundry area. Everything was well done, and it wasn't a job that was done in 1 day, more 4 total days, with no breaks. His advice which I asked for, the best would vinyl planks, and that's what we did. I have a rowdy family, 2 dogs. I needed something that would hold up and not tear like that cheap crap I paid for from Empire flooring. It wasn't even a 1 mm thickness. Anyway Happy to write this review. He shows up when he says he is going to, is reliable, and detailed. Old fashioned quality without gauging your pockets.

Within 2 days we had 6 person crew, who removed the slate and reroofed the house in one long day. They were magnificent! the next morning they cleaned everything up in 2 hours. No clean…read moreup was done, they did not take proper steps to protect our appliances while painting, they improperly installed a broken walk-in shower. Which we had to replace. When the shower was torn out it the panels were "glued" in with caulk. The grout work was crap. Brand new cabinets with sander marks, loose hinges, trim with saw gouges, leaking sinks, no paint prep done, and just painted around some of the light fixtures, pockets in the LVP where they didnt use leveler. Tub surround not flush, so we had to fill the gaps with silicone so it didnt leak. They installed new exhaust fans in the bathrooms and cut the hole too big so there is a gap. Just all around poor quality work. When we brought things to their attention, the reaction was that we were inconveniencing them. When they did come back and fix concerns we addressed they made it worse. We have been fixing thier poor workmanship since April, and hired a different company to replace the shower.
