Crossfit is all new to me, I was always the occasional gym rat. When I would go to the gym I felt something was missing. I needed change so I joined Elite Crossfit and figured it out! It was the competitive edge, others pushing you, and a full time coach that cares about your technique. Its not just about how much you can lift but how not to injure yourself while doing it. I'm 43 years old and I'm over trying to be that physique model ;) I just want to keep up with my kids and NOT be that "Fat Dad". Crossfit is a whole new level! I started out with the Fundamentals Class they offer which I highly recommend if you are a beginner like I was. Its one on one with a coach that will walk you through the lingo, different lifting forms, and you get a complete workout each time. My Coach Michael Hrna coached me like an athlete, helping me understand how each movement builds you for the next one. This helps you mentally as you begin to increase your strength. Knowing what you do today will help you become better for the next workout. He told me "The workouts don't get harder you get better!" I can feel it already :) I've been at it for 5wks now and I'm down 9lbs and my endurance has increased 10X better. I love an early workout so the 5am class became my family as we all push each other into becoming better and healthier athletes. I feel like my membership fees are actually going toward the gym. The owner Jeremy keeps up with our equipment to assure everything is working and we have the best available. Just recently I noticed he started replacing our damaged weight plates with new ones! To me that says a lot about the gym. Honestly, who wants to workout in an outdated facility that you are paying a membership for. The BEST part I enjoy the most is how each coach, no matter if its Phil, Matt, or Michael they know I'm a novice and will take the time to coach me through each movement. Again, to make sure I DO NOT get injured. You hear to many horror stories about crossfit injuries and I'm hear to tell you I'm glad I chose Elite! read more

My wife is brand new to exercising and I'm a intermediate. Elite CrossFit staff really took the time and effort to teaching us form and were awesome at explaining everything. The owner, coaches, the community and the programming. There is something about this place that isn't like any other gym. You want to go work out. The workouts never are boring, and the coaches actually care how you progress. Many time slots to choose from and lots of room to work out in. As someone that was new to CrossFit I was somewhat nervous not only of what to expect but also of getting injured. Jacqueline was my fundamentals coach as was so helpful in getting the proper technique and position to prevent injury, she was also very motivating. I have never done power lifting before but with the help of Jacqueline I was able to do more than I thought and now find myself doing more power lifting at gym. Jacqueline is an amazing instructor and extremely motivating which is very helpful to someone who might be new to CrossFit. Micheal was also very helpful and motivating in his CF classes. Great facility, decent coaching. Biggest issues: Class time was shared with open gym people. This would be distracting and at times they do get in the way. Feels like if you are paying a premium to workout in the space you should get the space and all it's equipment during class time. Cancelation notice is misleading. Despite paying more per month to be on a monthly contract, they do not allow you to simply give a 30 day notice, despite having a "30 day notice policy." They will tell you there is a 30 day notice, however what they don't tell you is it's 30 days from your billing date. So if you give notice day after your billing date, depending on which month it is you could have to pay another 60 days from date of notice!! I tried to point out how misleading the policy was, but was only met with "that's our policy and we stick to it." Felt "nickel and dimed" at every turn. They charge a $50 freeze fee, if you get pregnant or something urgent comes up. They do put on competitions, but have been known to charge parking fees for the participating athletes, in addition to the registration fee. While I understand they need to make money, at the same time this "globo-gym" type business mentality was disheartening and I feel gives a bad name to Crossfit. My past 6 years of dealing with multiple crossfits I have never encountered such bad customer service. read more

Great community of genuine people at this gym. Trainers and members are all welcoming and encouraging to help you through every class. Trainers are always available to help your through the workouts and give feedback to make sure you get to where you need to be to reach goals. Membership packages are at reasonable prices, I would recommend this gym for all crossfit levels. read more

This is the best cross fit gym in town. I have been doing cross fit for a year and a half and just switched to Elite. I feel like I've never done cross fit before. In just a week, I've learned two new skills and am amazed by the number of classes and times available. They have two locations and have Olympic Weight Lifting classes as well as Power Lifting classes. The coaches are amazing and don't mind taking time out of their own workouts to correct something that might hurt me during open gym time. Love this place. read more

My husband and I really searched around for the best box around before deciding to become members of Elite. We chose them because of the coaching. It is on point and attentive. Good programming with options of dedicated Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting classes and one on one training or programming. I have taken a variety of classes and every coach is unique and has good input to making you a better athlete. Each class is unique and you'll find more community in some classes over others. Everyone is always friendly but I found it easier to have battle buddies in some classes over others. Granted, I can be very introverted; so maybe it's just me. read more

I've been with Elite CrossFit since Oct 14. I started with Elite weighing 217lbs with a waist of 37". By combining Elite's programming with a change in diet, I dropped 26lbs and 5 sizes in my waist before regaining 9 lbs of mass with no increase in waist. Yep...52 years young, 200lbs, 32" waist. Top marks to this place! I really enjoy (hate) the workouts. The coaches are excellent and community of athletes, exceptional. I've been going over a year now, lost some weight, and have seen exponential gains in strength! For example, I started at 135 lbs on Deadlift and now 335 lbs a year later. Bench press 155 lbs and now 220 lbs. The price of membership seems expensive, but well worth the money given all the benefits. Strongly recommend. read more

Sometimes it's a sandbag that I've never touched before, a kettle bell swing that's ten pounds over the weight I've done, and sometimes it's something I've done numerous times, but the workout before it drained all the energy I had left. Every day that I step into this box is a new adventure. It feels like the first day of school every time and I'm a mixture of nerves and excitement. I never truly know what I'm getting myself into when I walk in the door but I know when I leave, I'm a far better person than I was when I stepped in. I'm new to this environment but I'm slowly starting to feel part of this community. I had a moment the other day where I was completely done with the WOD. My body was shaking, my arms were giving out and I only had a few reps left. Time was standing still for a moment, kind of like it does in the dramatic parts of a movie. I had one of my coaches encouraging me to finish it up, to dig deep and do it, but I think what really motivated me at the end was one of the newer ladies. She just finished her fundamentals about two weeks ago and here she was yelling along with our coach, pushing me to finish this. I think that was one of the defining moments of what CrossFit can be. This person completely new to this place, already felt what it was about. It was an inspiring moment, and although I'm no Katrin Davidsdottir, I sure felt like it when I hit that last rep. Whether you're new to CrossFit or just looking for a new box and community, Elite is a great place full of knowledgeable and encouraging coaches. read more
