Buyer beware. I had an extremely disappointing experience here and would not recommend this business. I initially brought in a designer skirt to be taken in. The owner suggested I also have it dry cleaned, which I agreed to. When I picked it up, the skirt had been damaged and the designer label had come completely off. Another skirt I dropped off still had the stain that I had brought it in to remove. When I returned to discuss the damage, the owner wasn't there, so I called to request a refund. He refused multiple times, insisted the damage was not his responsibility, and became increasingly hostile. During the conversation he yelled at me and even said, "People are dying and you're worried about a skirt." My husband was with me and was equally shocked by how the situation was handled. The experience also felt unprofessional from the beginning. During my initial visit, the owner made comments and behaved in a way that made me uncomfortable, which only added to my concerns after everything that followed. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a business responds. Instead of taking accountability or trying to make things right, I was met with denial, hostility, and a complete lack of customer service. I left with damaged clothing, no resolution, and a very negative impression. I would strongly recommend taking your garments elsewhere, especially if they are valuable or sentimental. read more

The man who owns this business is an "input explicative here". I used them twice. Both times my pick up times/ drop off times were not even close to adhered to. No apologies. No notice. I called to ask why I received a confirmation text stating my laundry would be delivered between 4-430 and at 7 PM it was not here. He said oh I'll bring it. Showed up and threw the laundry on the ground in front of my doorman. My doorman told him he was late and needed to bring it upstairs. The guy said "I don't care" and left it there. Customer service at it's finest. To add insult to injury I think the price was inflated and he ripped me off. read more

I had to pay 10$ for a simple ironing of one shirt for the same day. I was told by the manager to go back to where I came from if the prices did not suit me, and that I should not complain. Worst place ever. If I could rate it with 0 stars I'll do it. I gave them a pleated skirt, and the man wrote on the ticket "pleated". They were supposed to call me when it was ready. Never called. I stopped by one day and my beautiful brand new and expensive skirt wasn't pleated anymore in the front and the back! Only on the sides. The son of the owner said they will send it back to fix it. He "sent back" my skirt in Queens like 2 or 3 times. In the end I spent more than a month without my skirt and got it back ruined. I was very annoyed and the owner has been extremely aggressive, said I could wear the skirt the way it was now and did not give me any refund. I will recommend to all my friends in the neighborhood not to spend 1$ in this place again. read more

If you're looking for a dry cleaner that not only destroys your wedding tuxedo and refuses to give you any refund or reimbursement to fix it then you should come to this place. Seriously, I've never met an owner less accommodating than this guy. I have him my tuxedo, I come back a week later to find it totally destroyed and unwearable. The lapels were bleached, the buttons were falling off, there were threads everywhere. When I tried to talk to him to see if he would be willing to pay for it to be fixed, he refused. I love these guys and take my laundry to them a few times a month. They are courteous, keep their word, and do not ruin my clothing. The detergent they use is either unscented or very lightly scented. Not sure. I have not used Elite for any alterations or dry cleaning. read more

We choose Elite specifically because it was open on Sunday but clearly this is a false claim. In an area with multiple options for laundry/cleaning services you would think they would realize the competition and value good customer service to stand above the rest. Incorrect- I experienced zero respect as a customer and the service I paid for was not provided fully. Promises were made for a Sunday pick up but Elite did not follow through for they were not open full business hours (noted on their own website and by employee). When these issues were addressed, neither remorse nor reconciliation were expressed by Elite. read more

Lingering odor? We dry cleaned a vintage Dior suit here and when it came back and we weren't even sure they had cleaned it. Their prices were comparable to the others on the block at $12 for a men's suit, but we found a place we like better run by a nice Chinese lady on the SE corner of 82nd and 2nd. She even gave us a discount to the tune of $10.50 for cleaning a men's suit because it was raining the day we picked it up. So we haven't been back to Elite based on our one not so positive experience there. read more

I'm writing this review over 18 months after my experience with this business. I was in America on holidays from Australia when my suitcase became infested with bedbugs from my accommodation. I approached Roman and he assured me he would use chemicals to kill them in the wash. He also assured me they would be ready before I left. I was only in New York for a week. I called to check if they were ready on the date they were due and he told me one of the dresses wasn't ready yet. I went back the next day and picked up my clothes. For a large bag of clothes he charged me $100 USD which is fairly reasonable. However he informed me that the dress still wasn't ready. The day I was due to fly out, I called and he promised me it would be delivered to my hotel and that it was on the way in a van. However it never arrived. When I got back to Australia I checked with the hotel and they never received it. The hotel concierge told me I would probably never get it back. I called the business and Roman's son was very apologetic and requested my address in Australia to mail it back. It never came. 18 months later I am still upset about this. My mother spent hours altering it so it had sentimental value and I wore it to some special occasions that hold a lot of meaning to me. Besides the fact it was an $80 AUD dress. I would never trust this business. I have no idea whether they actually lost the dress or deliberately stole it. read more

Great neighborhood cleaners from laundry to dry cleaning. Easy, reliable, and extremely friendly service! IMPECCABLE tailoring! I get all of my clothes tailored as I am slightly OCD when it comes to the fit of my clothes even if it is taking up 1cm of a blouse sleeve. Roman has tailored: - The hem of a silk chiffon (+ lining) bridesmaids dress in a time crunch= came out perfect - The sleeves of a wool coat that had studs, didn't even think that was possible but he did it - Countless blouse sleeves - Down jacket sleeves - Slacks, jeans, with original edge and/or look of the pant - Blazer and wool coat sleeves with linings - Literally everything Not only is he able to do the job but it's perfect and amazing every time. It may be slightly expensive to get the requested job done but when you see the outcome it's definitely worth it! Also not to mention the amount of meticulous time consuming work that goes into the tailoring. Definitely would recommend if you are near by or just moved into the neighborhood! read more

Do NOT come here if you want professional and good service. I came to get a dress dry cleaned before a wedding and was promised repeatedly that the dress would be ready to go in three days, right before I needed to head out of town. When I came to pick up my dress, I was told it would not be ready in time, and that the employee who helped me had told me completely incorrect information. I was then blamed by Roman, the owner, who told me it was my fault that his employee made a mistake and I should've known it was a mistake- absolutely ridiculous!!! The situation cost me hundreds of dollars because I had to then go get a dress for the wedding the following day. When I came back into town to pick up my dress, they were still completely unhelpful and refused to take any responsibility or give me any discount on their mistake. I absolutely do not recommend- save your money and stress, go somewhere that actually operates as a functioning business. Such a shame! If they had been a bit nicer or more understanding of their own screw up I would've completely understood- but their inability to take any responsibility at any point is truly astounding. read more

I dropped off a coat to be cleaned, and was told I would get a call when it was ready... never got a call, so I went in to pick it up. It was cleaner, but not as clean as things normally are after dry cleaning. Next, I dropped off a coat to have the sleeves taken up. I was told it would take 1 week. I came 2 weeks later, it had not been done yet. The next week, it was done. And was not done in a way to preserve the original style of the sleeve (he just did a straight stitch when before there were no stitches visible). No discount or anything for taking 3 weeks to do a job that was supposed to take 1 week. Will not go here again. read more

I have been to this place many times mostly for clothing repairs, but I have also dry cleaned shirts and pants. My issue with Elite Cleaners is that the repairs never stay. I have had two different pairs of jeans fixed 3 times each, the same rips come back. If the worker would just put in a bigger patch, they would stop ripping. I wonder if this is their plan to make more money? I guess it is somewhat my fault for coming back time after time. At the third time, when I took back one of the pairs of jeans and explained this was the third time I was getting the same area fixed (and I had it fixed and dry cleaned just ONE week ago costing me $35) the owner of the business told me that "he would take care of it, dont worry". I assumed this meant that I would not be charged once again for the repair. I thought wrong. When I came back to back up the pants I was charged the normal $25 charge for the repair. When I asked the son why I was being charged when his father told me he would "take care of it" he said he knew nothing about it. I paid the $25 and left. I will def not be coming back here. I have already wasted $150 on two pairs of jean repairs. Dry cleaning was nothing to write home about the prices are the same as everywhere else. read more

Elite has done excellent same day, rush jobs for me. That's rare for most Twin cities dry cleaners. The only issue is that shirts have to be a minimum size for shirt laundry. Mine had to be hand washed, but that's fine with me. read more
