Mega Academy is the pinnacle of a money grab, experts at swindling money from parents trying to build a better figure for their children. Inherently, there's nothing wrong with prep school, but Mega Academy is notoriously known for being one of the most expensive in Flushing, when there's truly no justification for it. The premium you pay for this school comes with below average to mediocre teachers, practice exams/homework photocopied from books you can buy on eBay, and quite frankly an elitist attitude from management. I will never forget the time one of the owners brought in a former mega student and TA, boasting about how he managed to get a job at UBS, as some sort of motivation to high school kids who didn't even know what a derivative or M&A was. I managed to sink hours of my life into this place, learning little to nothing. My parent's wages were spent on photocopied homework that was reviewed the next day by your average DOE high school teacher who might've been your math teacher a few weeks prior. No, your premium doesn't pay for the cream of the crop. It pays for the house and cars of the owners. Rest assured any success I have experienced post-college will never be attributed to Mega Academy. Maybe the best thing to come out of this place were the friends I made, but if I just wanted my kids to socialize, I would've sent them anywhere else.

The owner could not have been more supportive, brilliant and knowledgeable about the entire process. I was delighted to visit on testing day to see a bright and warm school environment that was carefully prepared and planned to help every single student succeed. I am so inspired by this place that encourages students to work hard and reach for their dreams! Sky's the limit! Everyone there is so kind and so helpful. They're just happy to be there. I met many former graduates and enjoyed learning about this exceptional place of learning. The care and attention to every detail in this school is phenomenal and I would trust Frances with anything. Choosing test prep at Kweller has been one of the best decisions we made along his academic journey. Thanks to @kwellerprep, my son's essay writing, reading comprehension, math and vocabulary knowledge have improved measurably. Before Kweller, my son would use basic vocabulary to convey his thoughts, often in run-on sentences. They have good homework and exams to help students. Their teaching is systematic, you can learn Chinese here up to high school level and up. I am surprised my son can read and even write Chinese characters. The SHSAT preparatory classes are also very helpful. The teachers are professional and experienced. They pay attention to individual student's progress. They are patient and kind too. My son took SHSAT prep for spring semester, summer, and then fall. He has made fast progress. Mr Charlie is an outstanding teacher, he graduated from Hunter college high school, and he is very knowledgable.
