The dining area let in beautiful morning light and was spacious (pictured below) making it easy for us all to dine together. Jody, Keith, and all the horses (even Spike, who was kind of a pill) were a real pleasure to interact with during our visit. The ride itself was a delight. Sure, I was sore afterward, but that's to be expected. Consider going to any of Montana's hot springs to recover afterward. If you're visiting in the summer, I do suggest scheduling a ride in the morning, as it's never too hot at 9AM.

We had drinks with other guest and our hosts on the balcony before going out to dinner. There is great attention to detail in your room, bathroom and throughout the manor with special touches. It is so clean and comfortable, the perfect place to relax and get a good night sleep. In the morning hot fresh scones and coffee were delivered to our room before breakfast. Then we had a delicious, gourmet breakfast served to us out on the balcony. We highly recommend Toad Hall Manor, it's a wonderful place to visit with engaging conversation and excellent food. Anytime we find ourselves in Butte we will be staying here. And next time hopefully we will have time to play golf too.

Our room was lovely, (with a large en suite bathroom), and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts Leigh made for us were delicious and elegantly presented (real China and crystal) gourmet meals. It is a nice and peaceful location, just outside of the quaint town of Ennis.... near the Madison River, and a short drive over to Virginia City, and about an hour to West Yellowstone. My stay at the Jeffers was absolutely delightful, and the owners, Leigh and Bob are awesome. Leigh makes a killer breakfast, and keeps the house so beautifully as does Bob. And they have an adorable little dog named Bella. I took my toy poodle with me and she and Bella hung out. I took my nieces (10, 11, and 15 years,) my mother (63,) and my grandmother (88.) We stayed in cabin two. We all absolutely loved it. It's situated conveniently between Nevada City and Virginia City. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The "breakfast" that is promised at every B&B was an actual breakfast (as opposed to a muffin or granola bar.) They brought it out and served us a hearty meal as we sat in the shade on the lawn. They even had a cute little rock shop inside, so the girls could get some geodes, crystals, and fossils as souvenirs. I would definitely recommend it, especially for families. It was like having our own tiny apartment to ourselves. It was cheaper than getting rooms enough for the six of us at a chain hotel. It was also cleaner, they had real soap in the bathroom, and they were much less stingy with the towels. It was a great experience.

I was immediately put at ease before I even booked when I called the ranch and Melissa spoke with me right away answering all of my questions - she is extremely knowledgeable, responsive & informative. Upon booking she sent a bunch of information for packing/activities/etc. - there were absolutely no surprises and I felt very prepared for the trip & of what to expect - if you miss something it's because you didn't read it carefully & that's on you! My cabin immediately felt like home - it was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated. There is so much charm to the ranch. Every meal was better than the next. Melissa, Kurt, & the wranglers are the real deal - they know the country better than the back of their hand & I was so impressed by them all. Having never experienced this kind of country I quickly went from being apprehensive to eager to go out every day and explore simply because of how at ease the wranglers made me feel. Kurt & Melissa have a real talent for reading horses & people and paired everyone PERFECTLY with their horses for the week as well as the group I rode with. I have never seen better cared for/happier horses in all my years of riding - I don't even want to say my horse's name here (& I won't) because I selfishly want her for the next time I go but she was really just such a great horse. Saw a baby brown bear right outside; thankfully, did not see the mother! Totally recommend a visit here, and would love to stay here sometime!
