I grew up in Montana and spent a lot of time around Bozeman and Big Sky, but first time visiting…read morethe historic 1930s and beautifully restored Lone Mountain Ranch. Checked out the Lytle bar (named after the family who homesteaded here), the gift shop with great Western wear; my friend got a cool white denim fringed jacket. The grounds are beautiful; walked up to their award winning restaurant , Horn and Cantle, and the very cool Saloon with live music. Decor was classy western. We enjoyed a handcrafted huckleberry cocktail a couple huckleberry lemonade mocktails and glass of wine, a mushroom appetizer, then our friends stayed for dinner. Saw a baby brown bear right outside; thankfully, did not see the mother! Totally recommend a visit here, and would love to stay here sometime!

I'm leaving this review because our experience at this upscale all inclusive resort was wildly inconsistent. The property is beautiful and the staff is kind, but the level of miscommunication and operational confusion was unlike anything I've experienced at this price point. A few of the major issues: * Serious health risk: The boxed lunches on our first days were unsafe for my diabetic brother and put him at risk of diabetic shock. These were the only meals available due to our scheduled activities. * Two different planners, both incorrect: * A "featured" restaurant they offered was actually closed. * We were booked for an activity that doesn't start for another two weeks. * The sky lift was presented as available but wasn't open. * Hot air balloon miscommunication: * The time we were given was wrong. * The balloon company had no record of our reservation. * We would have missed it entirely if I hadn't reconfirmed repeatedly. * Itinerary changes without notice: * Our schedule was altered multiple times without anyone informing us. * Another guest in the lobby was having the exact same issues. There were many more problems beyond these. They did tell us an employee had sabotaged their system, but it would be impossible for that one person to have caused everything we experienced. Bottom line: We had a good time, and the place itself is beautiful. But when you compare the price to the actual experience, I could not justify the stay.

We loved this experience so much! We did the three hour ride and it was fantastic…read more The area is beautiful. We rode through pine forests and an aspen grove and open meadows. There was a ridge with an amazing view. We saw a small heard of elk running through the woods. We saw an eagle and an osprey. There were a couple of steep climbs (always fun on a horse). We got up to a trot a couple of times. Our legs were a bit stiff after the ride but not sore the next day. It was perfect! The horses are wonderful, each with their own personalities. They had just the right amount of spirit. And they were very responsive to your lead. Josie was our trail boss (guide) and she was absolutely amazing. She explained everything thoroughly. She made everything fun. She took amazing care of us. She knows that property like the back of her hand. And she's as amazing with horses as she is with people. My friend and his family have ridden here nine times already and I'm so glad they recommended it. It's a lifelong memory.

Hayden was our guide & he was really friendly & knowledgeable about the area & horses. Our group was small too which made the experience more intimate (5 riders + our guide). Eagle Ridge Ranch is affordable, has beautiful trails, well behaved horses & attentive/accommodating staff. We went on a rainy morning & it cleared up in an hour, but the rain didn't bother us. Eagle Ridge is close to Yellowstone, Bozeman & the Tetons so there's plenty to do after an early morning ride. Thank you for the experience!!!

I'm leaving this review because I feel people should know about my experience at Diamond P Ranch…read more I told the young woman assisting us that I knew how to ride, although it had been awhile since I had been on a horse. Instead of simply offering guidance when needed, she repeatedly explained things to me that I already knew. At one point, while I was holding the reins, she abruptly yanked them back and said in a very rude tone, "That's not holding them tight!!!" I understand that safety is important when horseback riding, and I have no problem being corrected or given instructions when necessary. What bothered me was the disrespectful way I was spoken to and handled. I came to enjoy a horseback riding experience and expected to be treated courteously. The experience itself could have been enjoyable, but the way I was treated by this employee really took away from it. I hope Diamond P Ranch addresses how customers are spoken to, especially when they are simply trying to enjoy their experience. I will say that John was our guide and he was exceptional !

We took our 2 daughters - 6 & 11 - on a 2 hour ride and it was so much fun. Trevor - our guide- kept them entertained and helped them negotiate the trail with ease. We highly recommend the Diamond P and specifically Trevor. We will definitely be back! Heather K
