The editorial touch that Edna embodies is superb. The photos were magazine quality. Above all else, she was an excellent collaborator and guide in capturing the vision that I had for our photos. She'll give you great recommendations and set you up with expections for your photo session. I've used Edna for years and the beautiful memories created of my two children when they were newborns were magical. I wanted a Chinese theme session and both times Edna hit it out the park with the breath taking still photos. To this day I have those images hung up in our Living Room. Those photos are special because as any parent will tell you those moments passes you by and you'll only have these investments of photographs to capture those precious timelines. We've also used Edna for holiday photos. Again, we've gotten many compliments from friends about how great those images were. If you're comparing photographers, don't look too far. Edna is patient, detail oriented, and a true professional. Just look at her work and see for yourself.

I've never experienced such friendly, professional, and expedited service from any photo studio…read more My dad needed passport photos taken, and after visiting Fedex and CVS pharmacies where they were unable to print in the specified dimensions, Imagix came to the rescue. They knew the exact dimensions and they were patient with my 92-year-old father. They even personally delivered the photos directly to us while we ate lunch next door. I can't recommend them enough.

Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

She came highly recommended by a relative's photographer. While we were looking for photographers, we had a call with Nicolette. She was not telling us what we should do and listened to what we wanted and advised what worked best. She worked with the timeline our venue gave and knew where our venue was (very important). When we asked her 3 weeks before the wedding if we can have a second photographer, she made it happen. What really stood her apart is that we agreed on a start and end time and what photos we wanted for the wedding. During the wedding, she checked in with us informing us how much more time we have her and Elaine for, as well as which photos we are still missing (table to table). She made sure we don't regret not having a particular photo with people and also did it to make sure that we are aware of the time so that if we don't want overtime, we have all the photos we wanted. Nicolette sent us sneak peeks of our wedding photos and we're so excited to see the rest!

The photo studio is located inside AR Galleria (the main galleria entrance was locked on Sunday afternoon so I had to enter through the side door via Cafe Lowell). [Parking]: Easy and free parking in the large plaza. [Reservation]: I was able to call and book a same-day reservation on Sunday. Visitors can also make an online reservation via the studio's website. Upon arrival, I scanned a QR code and signed a waiver before the owner started my 5-minute photo session. [Price]: $27 for 4 physical copies and digital copies to download via email (must be downloaded within 7 days). I did not initially receive an email, but I emailed the owner the next day about the download link and he sent a follow-up email with the link within a few hours (the email was hidden in my spam folder). The email included all the pictures taken during the session. The shop also makes photo keychains ($4+ each). The studio also offers 15-minute and 30-minute self-portrait sessions. [Studio]: While I was here for a passport photo, the studio mainly operates as a self-portrait studio where customers take photos of themselves. This small studio has all the props and camera setup needed to make it happen. [Process]: The owner had me sit on a chair and took 7 pictures. Out of the 7 pictures taken, I was able to choose one for him to print while the rest of pictures can be downloaded via a link in an email. It was more important to receive a digital copy because the US passport renewal process requires applicants to upload a digital photo rather than submit a physical copy. I was able to use one of the digital copies and now that same picture will be on my passport for the next 10 years before the next renewal timeline. [Conclusion]: Overall it was an efficient process and I was able to walk in and out within 15 minutes. However, it would be helpful for the studio to provide additional entry instructions on the website when the main galleria entrance is locked.

Our photos were so elegant and organic, and he got them back to us within a couple weeks! I truly appreciated how communicative he was through the whole process, from first contact all the way until the shipping of the photo files. Michael was a superstar throughout our wedding day, running around and making things happen while keeping composure and focus. From showing up early with his videographer, Ricky, to get b-roll footage and photograph the details, to being flexible as our timeline shifted, and then capturing an epic final exit at the end of the night, Michael was ready for anything. His style is to document the day, not dictate it, so he didn't stop things down to make people pose for him and instead moved around stealthily and captured some really great candid moments. But when it came time to get formal pictures, he was also very flexible and willing to try whatever ideas and poses we wanted, and took so many beautiful and elegant photos. And my bride was so relaxed and comfortable as he took some amazing shots of her. Thank you, Michael, for capturing our day so beautifully!
