Given that I've been significantly mobility-impaired for more than a year (after a spinal-cord injury and major surgery), which has made it very difficult for me to do effective, thorough cleaning myself, Eliane's first time cleaning my place (just last week) had a major positive impact on my quality of life. My place was a legitimate disaster when Eliane showed up; she was professional in her appraisal, and gave me a new quote that was reasonable, given the immensity of the project. When she let me know that she and her helper were done, and I took a look at the results, I literally started crying with relief and gratitude. Fast forward 6 years and I am happy to report Eliane has cleaned three different places I've lived in the Bay Area. She has literally NEVER missed a day of cleaning, even when she needed to travel! I found Eliane and her team on Yelp and requested a quote for a one-time move out clean via their website. I got a response pretty quickly with a quote and set up a time & date for her to come by. She asked me to provide some cleaning supplies for her which I found strange, but when I told her that the apartment would be completely empty she said she could provide said supplies. Note that I wasn't there in person for the appointment (my roommate was) for the following experience. I e-mailed her with my roommate's number the day before our appointment and told her to please call him if she was running late. We had an appointment set at 9am and at 9:30 we hadn't heard anything, so I called their main line (no response) and then e-mailed her. At 9:45 she called my roommate and e-mailed me that she had given her helper the wrong address, and showed up shortly after. First off I'll say the cleaning was done decently well. There were some lingering stains on the shower floors and water stains on the glass shower doors but nothing super crazy. However our roommate let us know that apparently cleaning windows was an extra cost so that was not done - I would assume that for a move-out clean everything would be included. This was also a letdown as our apartment was a corner unit so two full walls of the apartment were floor to ceiling windows. Overall Eliane's team did do a decent job cleaning, but unfortunately I did not have the best experience and wouldn't hire them again for the price. read more

I've used Eliane twice. The first time her helper came, and he just did an OK job -- he did miss several areas. The second time he did a very good job, but it took a very long time -- over 6 hours to clean my 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Eliane's pricing is odd. She gives you a range, but then both times when the helper arrived, she said it would be over that cost range. Moreover, she was much more expensive than our usual cleaner (Lotus Cleaners in Oakland), and you have to provide all cleaning products. I also find it odd that she only accepts cash... read more

I called based on Yelp reviews, and have always had great luck with that. (Thanks, Yelp) Eliane herself is wonderful. She's professional, punctual and does a great job. She has another woman who she works with who is also amazing. She is kind, thorough, spends a great deal of time on every room, so that it all looks pristine when my kids and I get home. Let's face it, lots can go wrong when folks clean your house. Stuff like that just doesn't happen with Eliane's Service. No surprise broken heirlooms, house left unlocked, nothing that makes me grab my head and say "OMG I could have done this myself better and for free!" like I usually do. Prices are fair and communication is good. If there's something extra to be done, I communicate that in advance or in the confirmation text exchange that happens, like clockwork, the day before the appointment. I don't understand all the stellar reviews...perhaps I just had a bad experience. I would certainly hire the person who actually cleaned the place, but wouldn't work with Eliane again. She didn't remember the initial appointment we made, despite having sent me several text messages about the appointment. Then she had to cancel the appointment a few days before it was scheduled. We did find another time that worked, but then she sent several more text messages just to "make sure I was going to be there on time." This was pretty insulting, given the fact that she was the one who originally cancelled the first appointment and didn't remember when she had scheduled it. When I met with the person who was going to clean the place, I was put on the phone with Eliane who told me that the price would be higher ($100 more than quoted)...saying I had a 3-bedroom house. We have a 1 bedroom house, with a small office and a bonus room downstairs. Eventually she gave in and agreed to the highest end of the range that she originally quoted. Eliane asked for specific cleaning supplies to be available, but I still had to run out during the cleaning and get even more cleaning supplies. Then, at the last minute I was asked to pay cash. Ugh. I've hired a number of cleaners with good reviews on yelp, and this was by far my worst experience. Another woman (not Elaine) came to my apartment for a "deep cleaning". I didn't have her preferred cleaning product, even though I made sure to have everything Elaine had requested ahead of time, so I went to the store and purchased the cleaner she wanted. Well, I was charged $240 for her to clean my 1 bedroom apartment, and it was nowhere near a "deep cleaning". She spent only 3 hrs doing a light cleaning, she used bleach on everything, including my wooden dressed (wtf?), and was a total premadonna, not wanting to scrub the floor where the litter box had been, even though I'd taken it out ahead of time. She even told me she'd have to charge extra to help me put clean sheets sheets on my guest bed. Riviera Cleaners was much better. They charged $160 for 4 hrs of cleaning with 2 people, and they were much more respectful and did a better job. read more

I had to do a short-notice move-out a few weeks ago, and I was determined to get my full security deposit back. So I needed a good job done, within less than one week. Eliane was able to schedule me 4 days after I first called. She requested several cleaning products, which I purchased. She came on time, with a helper. They were both fast and thorough. Eliane deep-cleaned 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and all of the kitchen. The floors and all surfaces, including inside cupboards and drawers, looked GREAT. When the landlord came and did her walk-through, she looked everywhere and she approved the cleanliness and I got my deposit back in full. I have a big, hairy dog, a full-time job (with a commute), and no time to keep a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house as clean as I would like. Yesterday, Eliane and her crew came for their first visit - a deep clean. Not only was the obvious cleaning done (dusting, wiping down appliances, etc.), but there was a LOT of deep and detailed cleaning that really surprised me: the range hood and the cabinets were wiped down, the little hard to reach corner of the shower stall door was cleaned, tchotchkes were thoroughly dusted, both sides of two sets of patio doors were cleaned . . . even the dog's crate was cleaned, for crissakes!! Eliane is easy to get in touch with and very responsive, and her helpers are cheerful, efficient and polite. I usually hire a cleaning service once a year to do a deep scrub and reach the areas I can't. Eliane's cleaning service did a phenomenal job. The staff was accommodating, on time, and left the place spotless. They were able to clean an oven and bring it back to like-new condition on the inside. Often overlooked areas like the ceiling fan, light fixtures, and the windowsills were cleaned as well. The team has a great eye for detail. I finally found a cleaning service to use again and again. Eliane seems to own and operate the service. She speaks good English but from my experience not of her maids do. She wanted $250 for a first cleaning. Two women with limited English showed up. I had asked for one and I expected a fee of $90. These are the sort of problems one has when dealing with people who speak another language. I had fired my previous maid service for similar issues. I am willing to pay top dollar but for that I expect a maid who speaks good English and I don't want to pay a premium for a 'first time' cleaning. read more

Eliane is phenomenally responsive - she texts as a matter of regular practice, including sending a reminder note the day before she's set to arrive. I absolutely love this about her. She also takes great pride in her work, and appreciates feedback to ensure her clients are 100% satisfied. My husband and I (who have had to come to terms with the fact that we are not the best cleaners, hence our decision to enlist a professional) both love coming home after Eliane and her staff have been there... to enjoy dust-free countertops, shiny fixtures, and even toilet paper roses on the rolls in each bathroom!
