UPDATE: After a week of frustration and being treated like a fool, Nathan - an independent contractor - came to fix the prior technician's mess. Nathan came late and stayed long to make sure the job was perfect. He was friendly and forthcoming, thorough and patient. I will never use Eli Locksmith again, but if you must, please ask for Nathan. He seems to be the only trustworthy person associated with that company. Original Post: I'm so utterly disappointed and am starting to think this place is a scam. I used this place once before in 2019 and it was great. A week ago, however, I had someone come out and the service has been awful. First of all, after charging an exorbitant fee, they bought the wrong color locks, botched our front door so that it can no longer be locked fully, and installed locks in the wrong doors. Then, when I asked them to come back and fix these issues, they kept telling me they'd send someone out the next day. It's been a week now, and no one has come. I've called back daily several times a day, and someone keeps telling me "a technician will come tomorrow". Whenever I'm lucky enough to have someone call me back, it's always from a different number. Incredibly unprofessional, not trustworthy, and quite frankly, unsafe. Do not use this company! read more

We called them at 3:30pm yesterday and were told that a locksmith would be able to arrive by 8pm. At 7:30pm, we got a call that it would actually be 9pm. At 8:40, I called them to ensure that someone was coming at 9pm and was told I'd hear from the locksmith soon. At 9pm, I tried calling again and was told that it would be closer to 10pm. At 9:45pm, we got a call informing us they'd have to cancel and they'd call us in the morning. When they called in the morning today, they informed us no one would be available until 8pm. I had to wait 8 months to be able to bring a cap to my pickup truck, was told had to bring to them for cheaper price. Brought it to them they wanted more then the price of a new lock. Over 100 dollars that's crazy I can get 2 new locks for that price. Not happy at all that they wasted my time. Just found 2 New locks with everything including keys and shipping under 30 dollars. All I wanted was a key and I brought it to them if I'd known they wanted to Rob me after I told her I'm a Veteran and only get around 600, I never would have waited. Ordering tomorrow... read more

The worst. Not to be trusted. Supposed to open Sundays at 11 am. Was there at 11:15 and the place was locked. When I called I was told he would be there in half an hour. Went back at 12:30 and the place was stilled locked. i was told they were stuck in traffic (really? Spring valley NY on Sunday morning?) and would be there in 15 minutes. Still locked up at 1:10. No concern for customers. Don't waste your time or money with these clowns. read more

Eli and his wonderful wife changed all of the locks on our new home. I had originally told them that there would be three locks, but then I realized that we needed six locks the day before they were supposed to come. I told them and it wasn't an issue at all. They were on time and worked relentlessly in hot conditions without hesitation or complaint. The locks were expertly installed! read more
