So I decide to try this place to get a simple wash, roller, and blow set. I have very manageable hair. The ladies seemed nice, I walked over to one behind the counter and tell her exactly what I want. I sit and wait less than 5 minutes.
This is where things got weird. The hair washing sink is not a REAL sink. It is super uncomfortable. When I got up, I saw why. It is a boot leg chair and a sink.
Now. The lady washing my hair seemed new, scared, nervous, and did a horrible wash. I ignored it as I thought she would not be doing my hair. I figured she was the hair washer who just started washing hair YESTERDAY.
She then proceeds to put my hair in rollers, I sit under the dryer for about 45 minutes. My hair dries super fast. She then comes on over and starts taking off my rollers. I have medium length hair and rollers just slide off my hair but it took this lady close to 10 minutes to remove them. I just had to help her.
You know how they go around the head blowing the naps around the head? Well, she does this but forgets the back of my neck. What??? I had to tell her to do this.
As she is blowing my hair she hits the back of my neck with the back of the hair dryer. Sigh... I felt like I was in the twilight zone. The hair blowing was less than OK. I had to tell her to blow down NOT up my hair.
When she's finally done, I go to pay. And I get charged $30. I just could not believe this. I actually asked the young girl behind the counter if she was sure.
Why would the owner allow this lady to do anything in this shop? Especially new people like myself. I dont get it. I will never ever set foot in this salon. read more
