We got something with whiskey. Main bar area is in the middle. The other entrance goes to another seating area full of tables. Here is where to go if not sitting at the bar. I ended up ordering the $9 lunch specials: a cheeseburger with scoop fries and chicken fingers. My husband said the cheeseburger was okay, and the customer service was friendly. One thing to note: the other lunch specials come with scoop fries, but the chicken fingers do not, they only come with dipping sauces. So I ordered an extra side of fries. The fries were actually good, but unfortunately, the chicken fingers were not. They were very, very greasy and not crunchy at all. Maybe the cooking oil wasn't hot enough, or the frying technique was off. I ended up removing all the beer batter breading, ate two of them, and tossed the rest. Overall, friendly service, but the food was just okay for our first visit. I'd probably try something different IF I return.

I wanted to share what happened so nobody else gets surprised. The service was cold and rude from the moment we sat down. Not sure where their hostility was coming from. I still tried to enjoy myself since this was literally my birthday dinner. When I presented the Groupon, the server kept telling me there was a restriction "in the terms somewhere," even though the $50 voucher has none. It literally says you can use it any day. They eventually accepted it. Our card was run before we could review the check. Afterward, we found a $13.38 charge labeled "8+ Gratuity (20%)" on a receipt that says "Guest Count: 2." Staff told us the owner requires 20% gratuity on all Groupon orders. That isn't mentioned anywhere in the Groupon terms or on the menu. I'm happy to tip, and I want it to be my choice. Retaliatory or deceptive business practices are not cool.

There's a separate dining room beyond the bar area where full dinners seem more common. Given that my 2 trips were in November and December, don't have a good sense for the outside area. I could just see that there are several tables overlooking the golf course. On certain nights, they have live music. Great variety of drinks, appetizers, sandwiches/burgers, and entrees. RK's was immediately different upon entering! Greeted by the bartenter Laura and she stayed connected to us. Made sure we had what we needed and was great! The kitchen was closed for a remodel. The 2 piece band did a nice job and were engaging with the patrons and not just playing music. A shout out to the Staff at RK's and to Karri for responding to my email about a left behind jacket.
