The food court is amazing Oooh Em Geee! The choices are endless. Then there's treats on other floors as well. We went 2 different days just to get a taste of The Bunt. There gourmet waffles were superb. Freshly made, warm, drizzled with your choice of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla chocolate, strawberry chocolate, nutella and the options go on. She offered the Flammkuchen as a local favorite, and she hit the nail on the head for a savory bite. It was a German breakfast pizza (more like a flatbread in type, if you are used to American dining) with a refreshing sour cream base. Just know it is a big portion before ordering! The coffee was great, as well - they offered the local Van Dyck coffee roast, which is regional to Cologne, organic, and fair-trade. Couldn't ask for more out of the experience!

The menu was in german (not sure if they have an english one) so we just asked our waiter to give us whatever was best. We got waffles with bananas, chocolate sauce, and vanilla sauce. They were delicious and a great price! I also ordered chai but I couldn't really taste it after the sweet waffles so I'm not sure how good it was. They have 2 buildings right across the street from each other, but only one serves waffles. The one that serves waffles is in the shop that doesn't have the "die Waffel" sign on it.

The owner doesn't speak much English but if you ask for help, he will likely get the cafe owner across the street to come and translate for you. Great place to read and people watch!
