Different plumbers were used during our home build, and unfortunately, those other plumbers took costly shortcuts on our home. We had something come up, which required postponing the work for about a year, but Nearby Plumbing happily returned and provided updated estimates, answered more of our questions and again didn't charge us a penny. We scheduled the work and Nearby Plumbing helped us fix a gas line that was leaking in a few locations inside of our mechanical room, added a missing service valve to our sewage ejector pump and also upgraded the pump to include a grinder (reducing chances of a clog and sewage backup), added a wifi monitoring alarm to the ejector pump (to alert us in case the pump ever fails), and added a hose spigot to our mechanical room to make filling up emergency water storage easier. Nearby Plumbing was great to work with. I appreciated their patience with scheduling the work on our timeline, the way they listened to our questions and concerns, and their solutions to correct the issues that our builder and original home-build contractors left us with. My wife and I have learned that finding contractors who are honest, good at what they do, and who treat your home as if it were their home is less common these days. The tech called and said it would be $850 plus $95 service fee so I called a friend who owns a company 150 miles away and said what should this cost to have my unit cleaned . He said $99-$175! ‍ So I put on Facebook any recommendations and got a one man show company that came and cleaned for $99 and no service charge fee. ‍‍‍ I do have to say when I called SOS to cancel my appointment to repair they waived the service charge fee after looking at my scenario so the company does have some good employees.

I talked to Bill quite extensively about the condition of the truck. The listing said it has 220k miles on the engine and he told me the truck had 240k miles. Not that big of a deal so I just went with it. I made a $300 deposit that he said he would refund if it didn't work out for some reason. I was super excited until I saw the truck. It was not in as good of condition as I was led to believe. It was missing batteries and several things were taken apart under the hood. Bill's fiance helped me install batteries and found that the odometer read 281k miles! The ignition had been disconnected, so I could not check if the truck would turn over. The body of the truck also appeared to be slightly off-kilter. I decided that it wasn't for me and asked for my deposit back at which point he criticized me for driving so far and wasting his time. (He wasn't even there just his wife). I waited until 1:00 a.m. for my deposit and, after feeling very threatened, decided to leave without my deposit. This man is not honest and I would not recommend doing business with him.
