We got chatting and he was giving me recommendations on what I should do with my remaining days, but once he found out it was my first time in Music City he insisted on getting me a beer, southern hospitality is awesome. Ced suggested trying their food, big man knew the secrets. I got a Odie's classic burger with bacon and GOLLY THAT WAS GOOD! While enjoying my food and drink In their awesome bar (it has a boat inside!!!) I was checked on multiple times by the server/bartenders, but when I wanted some more napkins there was only their jacked security guys around, I believe his name was Ryan, he could tell I wanted something and offered a helping hand. They don't have any sweetener for the tea, and I really wanted to buy a short, but the merchandise area was smaller than my closet and the shirts they did have were pretty icky quality. I told Terri after the show "I'll bet your parents were shocked when you came into the world White and Blonde." (She told me later that was the finest compliment she had ever received.) Of course, I said that, because she covers Dionne Warrick like no one I have ever hear, and get's down on the Blues. It is hard to say whether Terri is a better singer or jazz pianist. She is simply terrific at both. Terri has a great personality and talks to the audience between tunes, which is both enlightening and entertaining. It was one of those places where you can walk in not knowing exactly what to expect and quickly find yourself having a great time. Going with a group of friends made it even better. We were able to grab some drinks, relax, laugh, sing along, and just enjoy the experience. There was a great energy in the room, and the performers really knew how to keep things moving. After spending the weekend in Nashville for the football game, this was a great way to experience another side of the city. We had already visited several historical landmarks and other Nashville attractions, so spending some time at a lively piano bar was a nice change of pace. Specifically, that it's not nearly as appealing as it used to be prior to changing ownership to a larger management group who apparently came in and "white washed" the place. They spoke wistfully of the prior decor and memorabilia that was removed and how much of the allure of the space was erased. As you enter, you will find the walls covered by ones that locals and tourists sign and affix there. Menu is limited and the drinks are much cheaper than Lower Broad, although more expensive than some of the other dive bars around the city (Santa's comes to mind). If you are around Music Row and searching out a dive bar, this is definitely your place.

The bartender, Skye, (who is amazing btw!) took great care of me and even offered me a taste of a spirit behind the bar for a recommended cocktail. The entire experience is worth the price point. I recommend taking a ride share and walking to your venue on a nice evening. I'm glad the Voorhees building is being restored. I'll be back to try their burger!
