First of all, all new EVERYTHINGGGG This gym opened July 15 and it's beautiful!! So much better…read morethan the 24-Hour it replaced. Tons of cardio machines, multiples of free weights (5-20 lbs for my workouts), a room specifically designated as a booty-builder room, open format room for classes, and sooo many machines, too. Downstairs has a lap pool, jacuzzi, steam room (LOVE THIS!!), sauna and both locker rooms. We were using UFC Fit in Pines for $175/mo for 2 people and weights were never racked, the gym was also overcrowded at all hours. We're paying about 1/3 of that for both of us monthly and ALL CLASSES + ACCESS TO ALL AREAS ARE FREE!!! #winning

Thanks to Groupon I stumbled across a deal for an infrared sauna session. I called Vital Health…read moreWellness to book an appointment and spoke to Zee, one of the owners. He was so helpful and offered to honor the Groupon so that I could book an appointment. About a half-hour after I got off the phone I headed to my appointment. Zee told me he'd have the room heated and ready as soon as I got in. My oldest daughter decided to purchase her own Groupon so we could check it out together. My experiences with infrared saunas have been amazing. My body feels rejuvenated and refreshed, my mind feels at ease and clear, my skin feels so soft and moist as if I just applied coconut oil to it. Infrared saunas offer so many health benefits and if you're in the neighborhood I'd truly recommend going here. The sauna seats two, and is nice and cozy. The first time we went the temperature was around 137 degrees. It helps to do a few rounds of deep breaths while sitting in the sauna. I I do this so that I could sink in, relax, and allow the healing to take place. This helps me to clear my mind and prepare my body for what could be a very uncomfortable thirty minutes. It gets hot, so I would suggest taking deep breaths, relaxing as much as you can, drink water before, during, and after, and have a towel to dab away the sweat. (Towels and water are provided for you.) The second time we went we took one of their Yoga classes. It was one of the best Yoga classes I've attended. Ashley's class was breathtaking. The stretching, deep breathing, moments of stillness was the best part for me. She pushed me beyond my limits in a non-intrusive fashion. My legs stretched further and wider, I held poses I'd struggled with before such as the crow pose. I can't believe I did it. Well, I have been practicing for some time, guess I needed the perfect atmosphere and teacher to guide me into it. I can't wait to visit again. We took a tour of the facility. They've been opened for about five months now. In addition to the services I mentioned they offer cupping, massage therapy, personal, and group training, they have a small gym located in the back of the facility, they also offer a nutrition class which teaches you how to make nutritional drinks to help maintain your health. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon. Zee really made us feel welcomed as if we were already part of the family. If you're interested in health and wellness I'd highly recommend paying them a visit.

For a long time I waited for an LA fitness to open near Miami Lakes. Not a very complete location…read morebut OK. I was very disappointed with the experience due to a very rude employee, I don't know his name but he is there as early as 5 am, bold short guy. This individual makes his own business process with a group of people ha recruited and take all the machines while many other people is waiting, even in machines that are not being utilized. He even approaches other customers and tells them to not use equipment or accessories because he is going to use them with his group. He approached me and took a handle away from me because he claim that belongs to him. This is happening since the gym opened and seems to be ok with Management because the situation is very noticeable and is not being corrected. I'm going to find the way to escalate this issue. Is not acceptable.

This location has been open for a handful of months now and it's my go-to when I can snag a low…read morecredit workout slot on ClassPass! They have dynamic pricing for their starts-every-10 minutes workouts with the super early peak 5am-7am slots being over 10 credits each (over $22). But their off peak workouts can go as low as 4 credits each ($8-9). Perhaps because it's new, the studio is sparkling and bright with two of its walls being completely glass windows. The equipment is a pleasure to use, since it hasn't been worn out. The foam pads for resting arms during plank exercises are plush, the sandbags haven't been broken in the middle and have intact sturdy handles, and the medicine balls don't have threads sticking out or about to open stitching. This makes it easy to focus on decoding the movements on the screen in each station and doing them 3 times each. Plus, like each Sweat440, they have towels available to use! My sweaty self thanks them. Each workout for the day has a focus on lower body, upper body, core and cardio or total body. 4 stations for 40 minutes in total with a minute between each station and starting every 10 minutes means you will be able to get the workout in, with no excuses. The movements are shown on a screen at each station, so you don't waste any time asking someone what the next movement is. It does mean you have to grasp the movement in 30 seconds and go when the buzzer goes off, but there is always a trainer going around on the floor if you need to ask for clarification. The only thing you have to think a little more about is how heavy a weight you want to use for the next movement. There will be 10, 25, 45 pound free barbell weights available for something like a goblet squat or squat press, and there will be a full rack of free weights to do something like chest presses, renegade rows or Romanian deadlifts. It's up to you to decide how heavy you want to go, but it's good to start light since you'll be doing it for two more rounds. What I like with this location is that I've always seen at least two trainers present, one at the check in desk and one on the floor cheering and correcting form. It means if you have an issue with your account or a question, you don't have to wait for the trainer to come off the floor to address it. I jammed and skinned a finger in the weight rack once and was able to get a trainer to give me a bandage for my bloody finger right away. The location is great in the heart of downtown Miami Lakes, where a lot of restaurants and shops have been coming up. If you're in the area, I definitely suggest you check this studio out and get your sweat in!
