When I asked for clarification, they questioned who had confirmed it, even though they do not send email confirmations. Overall, the scheduling and communication are extremely disorganized. I had to post on Yelp because he paid to hide his bad reviews on the other major ratings site. Last year, I had what was supposed to be a routine laser treatment at his office. Dr. Weksberg's nurse "Jen", working under his direction, performed the treatment wrong and damaged my entire face, leaving me with burn marks, wide pores, redness and brown discolouration. Multiple doctors have explained to me that Jen COMPLETELY messed up during my treatment, burning my skin, and I really wish that Dr. Weksberg had done more to make sure that his nurse was properly trained and vetted before allowing her to use a laser on my face. I have thus far had several treatments to try to improve the mess that Dr. Weksberg and Jen made of my face, but, sadly, much of the damage is not fixable. I cannot stress enough how awful this ordeal has been. All this time, whenever I asked Dr. Weksberg for help he pretended that nothing was wrong in some sort of twisted attempt to avoid taking responsibility for what happened. For months after the failed laser treatment he did almost nothing to help me and instead let other more competent, decent and talented dermatologists work at fixing his mistakes. Trusting Fred Weksberg has cost me my self-confidence, and I would not wish what I have been through on my worst enemy. As a healthcare professional myself, I am deeply concerned about the safety of patients in this practice, especially those that are treated by Dr. Weksberg's nurse. I would never again let anyone in this office touch my face, nor would I allow a friend to be treated here.

I wanted to wait until my treatments were fully healed before writing a review, so here I am,…read morealmost 9 months after my initial consultation with NewDermaMed at Yonge and Sheppard. I initially went in for a consultation on getting a really stubborn nose wart removed. My first impression was that the facility was very impressive, well kept, and sparkling clean. They greeted me and offered complimentary coffee and chocolates. Then I found out that they also offered mole removal - something that I've been meaning to look into. They gave me a VERY reasonable quote for each service, explained the procedure, and informed me that each treatment would include a complimentary follow up appointment. I was a little suspicious of the cost because in life you usually "get what you pay for", but I decided to take a risk and called them back to schedule an appointment. I signed a waiver before treatment began. I followed their post treatment instructions and the wart fell off about 3-4 days later. I went for the follow up appointment and it was as if the wart was never there! This was a huge sigh of relief for me because I had been dealing with this wart on my nose for years! For some reason my skin is prone to growing warts over time, so I went back to NewDermaMed at least 2 more times to get new warts removed. One of them was larger than usual but they quoted me the same price as the smaller warts for being so loyal to them. Now for the moles. I had two of them on my face that hurt my self esteem for a very long time. Both the wart and mole removal used the same procedure so they costed the same price. The moles did go away after two follow ups (they did not charge me for a third treatment on the moles) but unfortunately I'm not as happy with the results as there are scars in place of the moles now. However, this was nothing that I did not expect, as they outlined in the waiver that I signed that scarring may occur post treatment. Just be aware that scarring may occur if you do decide to have a mole removed. One thing that didn't go unnoticed here is that they didn't pressure me into making a decision on the spot. Customers often worry about getting harassed with the upselling of services, and I respect the ladies at NewDermaMed for allowing me some time and space to think about it. After the consultation, they emailed me a copy of the quote, and I was free to walk out and make a decision on my own. Evidently, I came back to get the services done (and more!!). Like the rest of Yonge and Sheppard, parking is paid but if you love Whole Foods then you're in luck! Just grab a bite to eat for $15 after your appointment and you'll be able to park there. Overall, my experience with NewDermaMed has been very positive, and I would recommend their services to others. I was a little wary because of the reviews that previous Yelpers have left. However, I believe that the staff at NewDermaMed have heard their voices. They've stepped up their game and I didn't run into any issues that were outlined by previous Yelpers. Thank you, NewDermaMed. I will be sure to stop by again for a different service.

Since she left, however, the quality of service has noticeably declined. The new provider is consistently 30 minutes late for appointments, which is frustrating and unprofessional. I also recently received a peel that had no visible effect -- it felt like a waste of time and money. I plan to complete the few remaining treatments in my package, but I likely won't return after that. It's disappointing to see such a drop in standards after Nadia's departure.

Family doctor referred me here…read more I finally got a call to schedule after 2.5 weeks. I checked out the reviews and saw a lot of negatives and I got worried. I went in, and it was already full of people waiting to be called in. I checked in their kiosk, filled out my paperwork and wait to be called in. There was a lady asking the nurse when it'll be her turn since she has been waiting for 1.5 hrs really shook me to my core; in the end the lady left as she couldn't wait anymore. 10 minutes later, I was called in. Waited another 10 minutes for the dermatologist to arrive and she was so pleasant and sweet. She listened to my concerns and wrote me some prescription to help with my problems. Very pleased with the visit.

My today's appointment was 1 pm, arrived 12.40 there's a sign to self check in which is actually easy. The girl who helped me with my questions was very friendly and helpful. There were about 3 seats available (total chairs 23) waiting room bright and clean . Waited only 20 minutes. Was called in @ 1.20 pm , waited about 10 minutes for Dr. Carrie Lynde to see me, she's very friendly,knowledgeable and helpful. My overall experience was excellent totally the opposite of the 1* reviews and I'm so thankful to Dr. Carrie Lynde for the awesome advice and explanation.
