Describing my recent experience with DPT is in a single word. EXCELLENT. A curated group of young, talented professionals staff this location. The conversations at the facility are upbeat. There is laughter and Apple Music in the background - a mature, youthful vibe. I enjoyed a shared experience with Carter Reid, Doctor of Physical Therapy, at this location. Carter is handsome, intelligent, and confident in his craft of physical therapy. In each session with Carter, he would introduce a specific exercise. I followed his lead. Carter was attentive to my rhythm and physical responses to each movement. On more than one occasion, Carter would say, 'breathe, don't hold your breath.' We would share a laugh. I notified the front desk that since I would not be present at his appointment that I'd like to speak to the new physical therapist to get to know her and ask how the session went. I never received a phone call. After speaking to the therapist, my response was "Well, we don't give out patient information." I reminded her that I'm the patient's parent and he's 5 months old. Speaking to the office manager led to me being told that we missed three appointments (we missed two) and that we would no longer be able to come back. Not happy.

The 2 doctors I've seen here were great and showed an understanding of my problem areas in my back…read more I got cupping twice and dry needling once. I thought both were helpful in alleviating my pain. They also helped me do exercises that were appropriate for my mobility, strength and pain level. 100% recommend them. Dr. Janu and Dr. Eric. The issues I've had here are with the staff. After coming in for my first appointment I was told that Dan would call to schedule my next appointments. I didn't hear from him. I finally called and was told that he was waiting for a script from my doctor and authorization from my insurance. I told him I had a script and we went round and round on the next step. I finally called my doctor and had them fax it over to them. Then I waited some more. It turns out my insurance now required authorization to continue. I called them and found out they had authorized it so I called back again to let them know. I finally was able to schedule my next appointment but 2 weeks had gone by. They also had a staff shortage going on so even though I was authorized there were no appointments available all week. My insurance only authorized it a limited time frame. Then I went on a planned vacation so I lost another week. My next appointment was with a young woman who did not seem to understand my issue - she had me do exercises that were really painful and did not help. The next few days I was in so much pain I could hardly move and had to add a knee brace which wasn't even an area that hurt before. I finally went back in and saw Dr. Janu and told him what had happened. He did a great job with appropriate stretching and exercises. The bad news? MY TIME WAS NOW UP with my insurance approval. LOL So they have to re-request additional time to continue. I don't really trust their front office staff to do it in a timely manner - so I doubt I'll get back in before the end of the year.
