My first time trying señorita bread and... I'm obsessed! My husband and I had no idea what señorita bread was, and the nice owner gave us a complimentary piece to try. We were instantly hooked! Elena's Bread is soft and fluffy, with the perfect hint of honey/sweetness. It's also insanely reasonably priced at 10 pieces for $10!

Located in the heart of North Beach on Columbus Avenue is this unpretentious storefront selling fancy sandwiches and "Senorita Bread" - sugary bread rolls about the size of a taquito. We are pretty familiar with "Senorita Bread rolls, as there are a couple of bakeries just south of SF that have made this their bread and butter Star attraction. get it? bada-dum! =) Step right in and there is a small counter with display case also stocked with cookies and other light grab and go treats. We ordered their smallest order of 10 pieces just to try out, and I have to say that with their perfectly browned crust and oh-so-tender insides, these are arguably the best Senorita Bread that we've had. Other diners seemed to also love it! Good Senorita Bread is not something you'd expect in the middle of touristy North Beach, but there they are! Service was courteous and friendly. 10 pieces for just $8 is a pretty reasonable deal, especially for the quality. YUM! Order even more, and they get even cheaper by the piece. Yup.. add this one to my list of mandatory stops next time we are in North Beach!

Walking this afternoon and came across Elena's Bread. I walked in at it smell amazing. I purchased 10 pcs for $8 and they were warm and buttery! There are cookies for sell too! Peanut butter, oatmeal raisin and nuts chocolate chips and white mac nuts. The service is excellent and love their passion on their bread. It was delicious warm and buttery! Visit them and support small businesses!

Walking by North Beach and just stumbled upon this cute bakery! The owner was really nice and genuinely confident in his Elena bread that was perfected with his chef. He even offered us a sample to try fresh out of the oven, which immediately showed his pride in the product and made us feel welcome! 5/5 Elena's Bread was a great Spanish delicacy that is comparable to Star Bread in the Philippines! It was so soft and fluffy, and not in your face buttery like some pastries can be. The right amount of sweetness made it versatile enough to pair with almost any meal as a light dessert, or even enjoy on its own as a snack. We were just compelled to purchase after trying it and tasting how fresh and perfectly balanced it was! The fact that it wasn't crazy buttery really let the bread's natural flavor shine through. If you're walking through North Beach, definitely stop by and try this gem. The owner's passion for his craft really comes through in every bite, and you can tell this is a labor of love. I'd absolutely return every time I'm in the area!

Best Bread. My group wanted to stop for a snack so we decided to try Elena's bread. We ordered 10 Pieces of bread to share. It was soft, a little sweet and best when warm! This is definitely a stop I would make again if I'm in the area.

The aroma of freshly baked bread, the flavors of their pastries, rolls, and cookies; every bite brings back memories of home. Today I enjoyed a delicious pan dulce, made with care and tradition. The owners, who personally welcome every guest, create an atmosphere filled with warmth and genuine hospitality. It's such a joy to find a traditional bakery that preserves the authentic taste of childhood; a place where every flavor tells a story and every scent feels like nostalgia.

my parents and my girlfriend walked down little Italy in San Francisco recently and came across Elena's bread. The advertisement for Señorita bread is what struck our interest. The service was so good that the guy behind the counter offered to give us a sample. The ambience was a walk-in café with coffee. Needless to say the señorita bread is much more better here from a local business than multiple franchisees across the Bay Area

Good service and friendly, bread was great! Food was excellent, good to know there's nice fresh and hot bread nearby.

Pretty good Spanish bread especially I got mine hot and fresh. They were soft and sweet and make sure you eat them while they're hot. $8 for 10 pieces (on the small size) which is affordable for SF, But if you've been to Honolulu Spanish rolls are all over the place and their Spanish rolls are bigger and cheaper for only $8 a dozen. However if you never had it, I suggest you try it.

We were walking by and had to know what Elena's Bread was about! We got a box of 10 for 4 of us to share and ate it up in 5 minutes. I did not expect the bread to be so good. It was warm and soft, with honey drizzled. Would definitely come back when in the area!

Amazing bread and an even better owner! I was walking by and hadn't been planning on entering any businesses on the way home. However, the perk of a free sample and the aromatic whiff of sweetness brought me in to Elena Mediterranean Cuisine. They say money cant buy happiness but it can buy this bread. The sample hooked me and I bought a box. Come in and try it yourself!

Guess it was meant to be. After going to a legacy staple bakery a block away, I stumbled upon this 'new' store. This is a good gauge as to how long since I've walked on Columbus Avenue. It's been open since March 2025. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of pastries available here (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=72&select=DaXRyEen5KEmnbenPwjpaQ), (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=72&select=2aRETLsFlFVteNckhbogRg).. It took me a little time to absorb what I saw before deciding on what to try. I ordered a few things with the intent to try something now and some later. I started with the Elena's bread (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=OVO16H6p6BrcBqLqbvip6w), which, judging by the signage, is their signature one. The gentleman who took my order packed my other items and asked meet to wait as the Elena's bread was baking. What? These would come piping hot in a box as I ordered ten to try and share with friends (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=72&select=XE-Fv6BQdHUaOtZw9RnWJw). With errands to do and already carrying a bag, I tried it ten minutes later. They were still extremely warm and most importantly delicious. I'd had this on Oahu and a South Bay version but this one is memorable. There was a filling inside which reminded me of the Chinese staple "chicken tail bun" (Gai Mei Bao in Cantonese), smooth yet not overly sweet. One wasn't enough so I ate another but stopped since lunch was only an hour or so later. They were still hot as they slightly cooled from my six-block walk to my next errand destination after stopping at a bank. I reheated them randomly throughout the week as a snack or part of breakfast. The next morning, I tried the second of the three pastries that I bought, the baklava (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=qhfzyajJj7f0WBid0Yukig). It was taller than most that I've tried elsewhere. The layers were visually evident (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=48&select=xVRMEy_RfBzMsrR61Ab17A) as well as the ingredients especially with sprinkling of pistachios on top and in the filling. The baker's palate is consistent in being moderately sweet. I like the famed La Cocina business in the Mission's version, this is flakier and less dense. The last thing that I tried from this shopping trip was the double chocolate brownie (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=0u3BcROUpKFfI44JESnUlg); unlike the other two sweets, this was on the heavier side from the smooth and moist fudge to the plentiful chocolate chips on top. Thank you, Max, for helping me with my order and briefly explaining your company's background. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of everything especially the senorita bread. Stop here if you crave hot bread.

Reminds me of starbread. $15. Located in northbeach. No need to go to daly city for this. Yay!

Perhaps they enforce more strictly for dinner? We shared the traditional salad, French dip, cheeseburger, and key lime pie. Salad was pretty good, we enjoyed the mustard-honey dressing. French dip was good but not super mindblowing. I wasn't the biggest fan of the cheeseburger because the yellow mustard gave it a cheap deli vibe. Fries were great though, the beef tallow taste was noticeable and the texture was similar to In N Out fries. Key lime pie was solid, loved the crust. Service was professional and they checked in frequently. Overall I feel like the food was decent and we enjoyed the ambiance which felt like an upscale diner during the day. I can imagine the dimly lit ambiance at night would be very nice.

When people said they found one of the best breakfast burritos at Bodega I first thought they must not be from San Francisco and they must be somewhere in Eastern United States where they call any corner store a Bodega. Then I was thinking they were referring to Bodega the Vietnamese restaurant in SF. I then thought it couldn't be the Hummus Bodega on Geary boulevard or Coffee Bodega in the Marina. I then thought the most of these best breakfast burritos are in the Mission District. I finally got to find out it's a bar called Bodega North Beach which sells breakfast burritos only on Saturday mornings. On a Fall stroll on a sunny morning I landed at the North Beach a pickle ball throw away from Washington Square Park and lots of restaurants with Angel hair pasta. There was no inside in the morning because it's all to go orders. I decided to try their chorizo and sausage breakfast burritos. The sausage breakfast sausage with avocado ,eggs, and a bit flakey potatoes like some in SF. The chorizo breakfast burrito was savory but a bit tangier and the sauce enhanced the burrito flavor. It's one of the top breakfast burrito in SF but it's a worthy contender and easily a top ten in the city. Wish it was more cheesy like some in SF. San Francisco is a city is small in size but when it comes to restaurants it packs a punch that's "mega "there is always good food from Chestnut street to Van Ness to Irving and "Noriega" which is a block away from a street called " Ortega" but you won't find this salsa in a jar because their salsa is made in house at a bar which sells good breakfast burritos on the avenue of Columbus called "Bodega" Bodega North Beach is located a few blocks where Bruce Lee ( RIP) was born who also played on TV the character "Kato " if you go to North Beach in SF you will find dozens of restaurants that offer Angel hair and fettuccine "Alfredo"the breakfast burrito at Bodega has a bit of egg ,avocado, and "potato" and a hint of "tomato "
