First massage ever and David set the bar HIGH He made me feel completely comfortable the whole time (not awkward at all), listened to what I needed, and really focused on the areas I was super tense in. I walked in stiff and walked out feeling so much better. Professional, respectful, and actually knows what he's doing ...highly recommend booking with David read more

I really didn't want to write this but feel I must. This location is practicing fraudulent behavior. Now I see this seems to be common practice for them. Since I retired, I determined I no longer wanted to accumulate monthly sessions so I cancelled my membership and received 6 giftcards (equivalent to several hundred dollars) for the unused sessions I had accumulated. I was assured TWICE that the cards did not have expiration dates but I had to use them at this location. I was happy with that. I made an appointment on their website and received a call today telling me they will not honor the gift cards since they are under new management. They are still under the same corporate umbrella company. I'm now out hundreds of dollars. I consider this very poor customer service. I do not recommend this location. Beware... read more

Like many of the other reviews in the last couple of months, this establishment became completely unrecognizable after the change in ownership. My wife and I have been going to this location for a decade, and we will never be returning barring ownership selling. We purchased e-gift cards in December and when we tried to use them, they were suddenly unable to find them on the account and that they don't sell the gift cards it's a third party named Hownd. Since these gift cards were never given to us, we did a chargeback. Conveniently, once the chargeback went through, they called us saying that they can see the balance on our account now. When we went into the location to discuss, the "manager" threatened to ban us and charge us for the dispute fee. I then called the next day to cancel my account and was told the person who we talked to was just a "front desk" employee and that despite their website saying membership is month to month, they need 30 days notice on cancelling. When I refused to pay that, they "terminated my account". I would not recommend this location, purely on the behavior of management. The massage therapists such as Erin and Kevin are amazing people and great at their jobs. read more

This location WON'T honor a previously purchased gift card. I have been a loyal customer for many years and buy gift cards from various locations but this new owner Anita (which I didn't know they had a new owner) REFUSED to honor a gift card purchased under the previous owner. That's just not right and unfair to the customers! read more

Had a gift card after I closed my account. After some time, I end up giving it to my boyfriend to use it and they end up charging his account because the gift card had no funds. I contacted the customer support and they were basically no help. I emailed their district and they stop replying to me. What a freaking joke. Kevin is incredible there but I can't stand their new management. It's a freaking joke. read more

Lesley is the best massage therapist I have ever had! I highly recommend! I lift a lot so I get sore but not after her massage! I feel great! read more

My husband and I have gone to Elements Massage for a long time but with the new ownership would not recommend. I purchased $400 worth of gift cards in December and were never sent the gift cards (e-gift cards). We called Elements prior to a scheduled massage and they told us they could look it up. When I went to pay, they said they can't help me because it was through a third party. I disputed the charge and then suddenly Massage Elements had full view of my gift cards and threatened to pass along the chargeback fees to me (illegal by the way). I then went to speak with the manager about this and their unacceptable threat to pass Fees along to me when I was not acting maliciously. She ultimately threatened to ban Me and I walked out before it escalated further. Hownd is the third party and confirmed to Me that Elements Massage had access to my gift cards the entire time. Take your money elsewhere. Erin is amazing and will be impossible to replace her. This is a luxury good and the owners should recognize they are one of many and not the least expensive. Would not recommend. read more

Horrible service after change in management. They can't keep good massage therapists anymore probably because it is so poorly run now. I was a member for 10 years and now they will illegally not honor my existing gift cards. DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS LOCATION. read more

I've been a member here for years, and always get great results from the therapists and great service from the front staff and managers. Recently I've been adding on their additional upgrades such as special oils or hot stone treatment and it has really helped with my stiffness and joint pains. read more

I had a membership at Elements previously & had nothing but great experiences with staff. After canceling, I paid individual fees to transfer my remaining massages to gift cards (suggested by staff.) I had a bit of trouble using one a year ago, but the issue was resolved. Today I received a call before my appointment & was told they couldn't find my gift card in the system. I told the woman I had 2 more, but she didn't offer to look them up or suggest any resolution. I asked her to please look them up & got a return call 30min later offering no suggestion on a further course of action, just "someone should email you this week." I'm left feeling my business is of no importance to Elements & no respect was given for my loss of time and in over $200 in gift cards. I was not even asked if I'd like to keep my appointment & pay on my debit card! After this interaction, I will absolutely not do business with this location again. I'm appalled by the lack of concern & not being offered anyone else I could speak to or any concern, period. If I don't hear from anyone, I plan to file a complaint for unethical business practices since there is no corporate contact information available. Very disappointing, left me feeling disrespected. read more

The massage therapists are wonderful however, the older blonde woman at the front desk is a nightmare. I have gift certificates and she told me they have no monetary value and cannot be used. WHAT?? She was very aggressive and downright rude. I asked to speak to a manager or owner and she told me 'no'. I asked for the owner to contact me and of course, I am still waiting. I asked for her name and she replied 'Betty Boop'. Her name is actually Karin - go figure... I will be contacting Julie Manthy who is the Chief HR person in corporate to bring this to the next level. My gift certificates are 1 yr old but have no magnetic strip. Because the Bloomingdale Elements is under new mgmt, Karin is telling me they have no monetary value. This is not legal and corporate has been notified. Corporate phone# is 720-902-9596. Please contact customer service and report this business if you've had the same issue! read more

This location has a new owner since OCT 1st and they are not honoring gift cards from the previous owners. They never even announced a change in ownership, nor any information to their members about the gift cards not being honored. The desk clerk actually went out of her way to ask how I was paying and when I said I was going to use a gift card for the additional services she asked for the GC before I went into my massage. When I came out she said I couldn't use it because I paid less than the service. She said I had to use the 1hr on my account (GC was for the same service) and pay out of pocket for the balance. She said when I don't have anything in my account I can use. Common sense would be that I will have 1 in my acct every month with a membership! So unless I quit I cant use it I guess. Told me to call corporate and gave me a fax number too! Good luck dealing with these new owners, they obviously do not care about keeping members. Its sad, they only care about $$ and not their employees since they will be the ones affected the most when members quit! read more

BEWARE. NEW Owners took over effective Oct 1st. My gift cards (of which I have 6 more) were issued to me from my PAID membership and unused visits. I have been using them all along without any problem. Just went for a massage today, and was asked if I were using a Gift card, which I said yes and presented. AFTER my massage, the front desk manager (?) upon checkout informed me my gift card is now expired. Even though there is not any exp date on any of them, they suddenly are not valid after issued in 2019. (Suddenly without notice, they have a 5 year exp date?) When they were issued, I was told they would not expire. They charged me full boat and applied some BS amount of my now expired GC. This is a scam for sure and the new owners are not giving water anymore after the massage, no more little chocolate (I mean its a thin mint...how much could that be?) and they aren't honoring the GC. So if you have any GC from the OLD, very nice Elements, find out before you go what they are going to honor....Also they aren't honoring Groupons or some other coupons per the little sign on their checkout. Massage was great but I won't be back. read more

I've been going to elements for years. I get a 1 hour massage monthly. Leah is fantastic. Rooms and tables are kept clean and disinfected.

Went to Elements for my first time today and had a 1 hour massage with Ed. Ed was great, super nice and had a ton of experience as a masseuse. I will definitely be returning and hope to book with Ed in the future! read more

Went to this location for the first time today. Staff was good and welcoming, hence the 2 stars. The ambiance and feel of the room were a huge disappointment. I thought of leaving before starting but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. The place is run down. Room walls dirty and dark, huge mildew smell from the carpet. Total disappointment. read more

I ran (and walked) the Soldier Field 10 Mile yesterday in 90 degree heat. I was unprepared this time and I felt it afterwards. I booked my first massage at Elements with Kristine. She gave me a full body, medium pressure, Swedish massage. Afterwards I felt almost completely better. She is an amazing massage therapist and is super nice. I have my next massage booked with her in a month. Thanks, Kristine! read more

Since my last review standards and service have gone down. 1) My last appointment - the massage was just OK. And the front office girls who normally ask you how was your experience were busy chatting between themselves. 2)I booked an appointment for self and a friend - only to be told on the day of the appointment that it is cancelled since the therapist called in sick !! - Which is OK - but the manner in which in it was conveyed - not even a hint of regret or offer to help with an alternative !! read more

I bought 10 gift cards in 2016 for discounted rate. I was new to massages and tried 3 different therapists here in 2016. One was too hard, one ok, and another perfect for what I needed, relaxation massage. Unfortunately he left in 2018. In late 2018 and just last week I tried two other therapists. They were both ok, but the message therapist I had a few days ago did not know how to give a relaxing massage. It was more focused on loosening muscles. There was nothing relaxing about it and several times it hurt. read more

Love Elements. Great service provided by both therapists and front desk. Front desk really goes out of their way to help schedule appointments. The therapists are so knowledgeable and caring with every touch. Will definitely come back to Elements in Bloomingdale! read more

I've been getting a monthly massage from Tomas for about 3 years. Massage day is the best day of the month! Tomas is able to get the knots out of my back better than anyone! At the beginning, he always asks if there is anything particular I need him to work on and he really listens. His recommendation to try the hot stone massage was extremely helpful as well! The front desk people are friendly and professional. The rooms are clean. I am a happy customer! read more

I'll point out that I had never had a full massage before my visit to Elements. The closest I have come was therapy for my right shoulder due to a car accident many years ago. I see a chiropractor on a regular business and he and my wife had both suggested that a full massage might be beneficial. So we decided to take advantage of the first time customer special and went with 60 minute massages. I had my appointment with Jenny. Jenny was very friendly and talkative and made me feel very at ease. The room was very relaxing and the massage table was actually very comfortable as well. I did ask her to turn the heater off though because I tend to get very warm pretty easily, and she politely obliged. It was the fastest 60 minutes I've ever burned through! I could literally feel my muscles loosening up. Jenny did a fantastic job and I actually was not that sore afterwards. There was not a lot of thumb jabbing, which i was concerned about initially. My chiropractor had said that I might be sore the next day because my body would react like it was a workout, so I was expecting that. But honestly, I felt great with just slight tenderness. I will definitely be coming back and probably for a 90 minute massage this time. Hopefully Jenny will be available again as I think she was great. read more

Honestly my impression about this place is 99% about Erin, they gave me my first appointment with her and I was sold ever since. Erin is incredible, and she has a pretty good memory. She is also extremely professional. I think I deal with stress pretty well, so I don't have a lot of tightness usually, but it is so nice to be completely pampered from head-to-toe. I definitely leave on cloud nine every time. I did sign up for a membership, I think I was in a dream state after that first massage and would have said yes to anything. However, it was a good choice for me. I don't do enough to treat myself so I decided that for the last few months of nursing school I'd take care of me once a month. I booked my appointments with Erin each time; her schedule does fill up quickly but typically I would book my next appointment right when I finished with my massage each time. That worked out well for me. You do have to give them a 30-day notice to end your membership so expect to have one more appointment if you're going to cancel. I knew that from the reviews and Erin reminded me of that. The membership isn't as bad as most people make it out to seem, but then again, with Erin I had the best massages I've ever had in my life (and I've had massages all over the world). read more

Service: $49 intro offer (55 minute massage) via SpaFinder giftcard. No issues with the gift card. Erin did a great job taking what I told her and applying it to the massage. It was firm but never too deep. I recommend her. Also, the location has plenty of parking. The office is clean. The customer service was prompt and friendly. I was expecting the membership pitch at the end so that's not adversely affecting the review. It's quick and painless. For the record, I didn't buy it and they didn't push. I'll be back at some point. Finding time for massages is the hard part. read more

I've been here exactly once. The massage itself was ok. Not the best I've had but not the worst. Two things ruined my massage- first the therapist had a smokers cough. So distracting and gross. The second, the therapist asked me if I lifted weights badly thus the tightness. Why yes, I do lift weights but not liking the presumption that I did so badly. I'm a tense person, ok? read more

Horrid customer service, does not check the voicemails, does not return phone calls, does not amend the problems they caused by canceling appointments with no notification yet they claim they do contact the client. I called in December 2021 and their voicemail says they have " shortened hours in June." The voicemail said that a year ago too and I told the staff about it twice now and they still haven't updated their voicemail. I've left voicemails and messages with staff four times for the manager to call me back and Rosie or Tony never called back so I filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

First time wasn't the greatest experience, but the receptionist made sure I was taken care of & was very accommodating. I came back today & I think it was one of the best massages I've had! Thank you so much! read more

I have been a member of this location for several years. Leah is a fantastic massage therapist and is the only reason I kept my monthly membership active. Elements has just lost my business as of today. Please keep this in mind before becoming a member. read more

I have been seeing David for almost 2 years and he is by far the best massage therapist I have ever seen!!!!! Hands down!!!

The massage therapist Leah really listened to what I wanted to be massaged and when she started I felt like she knew exactly where my trouble spots were without me even telling her. It was my first time here and I initially tried it out with a Groupon at first for 60 minutes for $39. It was Amazing, I have a membership now so I will be treating myself more often . read more

Had a deep tissue massage from Leah, and it was potentially the best I ever had. It was the only deep tissue massage I've had where I briefly thought about asking her to dial back the pressure. DO NOT BUY THE SNAKE OIL MEMBERSHIP OPTION!! Bought the membership they were selling to take advantage of reasonable "member rates." I had some pretty good massages at this location, some were not so good. The better therapists have left as of late. I always have trouble making appointments for a massage, no matter when. Always a pain in the rear. I called one time to cancel my membership and was told that if I cancelled after a certain date of the month they would still have to charge me for my massage for next month (why??). They talked me into "suspending" my membership for a couple of months without incurring the monthly fee, then resuming later, or canceling if I chose to. Weeks have passed and I still can't book anything. Called today to cancel and was told that I had to come in person to cancel this time. Was told that it was their policy. Called back and asked to have manager call me but manager was gone and would call me back in the morning. Why on God's green earth would you inconvenience a customer in hope of keeping this ridiculous membership? Like, am I going to change my mind on the drive there and keep it?? These are obviously semantics to keep you running on the Elements treadmill because they keep debiting your account. I've sent several people there (unfortunately) but will do everything I can to spread the word that they are shady and DO NOT BUY THE MEMBERSHIP!!! There are so many other customer friendly places to go, don't waste your time here. read more

From the moment I walked in the door, the staff were absolutely lovely. A 90-minute deep tissue massage with Zakilah was, hands-down, the best massage of my life! I can be a bit shy to speak up sometimes, but each time it crossed my mind that I might like a little more or less or something, as if by magic, she came through with it. She applied an incredible amount of strength and really got into my muscles. I don't live locally, and regret that, because Zakilah cannot come back home with me. Five stars all the way! read more
