It was larger than the Harrisburg downtown one and reminded me of Reading Terminal in Philly (less crowded but still lots of options). There's also tons of parking all surrounding the building. The upstairs section has small specialty shops; the lower level is full of food vendors -- from produce to fresh pasta to tacos to pizza to pierogies to quiches. They also even had plant stands and floral arrangements. I got 1.5lbs of fresh made spinach fettuccine from Fasta & Ravioli, two very tasty bagels from Bagel Lovers (foccacia flavored and everything egg bagels--both were SO delicious and a great texture; they also had tons of other varieties like pumpernickel, onion, and blueberry, all made fresh daily and for a very reasonable price -- I think I paid something around $3 for my two bagels). I could've spent tons more time there but unfortunately was just stopping by after running an errand in the area. Needless to say, I will be back!!

Lucky Penny Burger is the latest food truck to arrive to this market. I ordered the forever free burger. It was definitely juicy. You had to eat this quick before the bottom bum was soaked. It could use just a touch of salt but the combination of guacamole, bacon and pepper jack cheese, you can't go wrong. I ate in my car since there wasn't any tables out near this truck. I would suggest a few tables be added towards the end of the lot if possible. By the time I would've walked towards the table there, my bun would probably fall apart. I will stop by again. Make sure you check out their FB page since they show a few pictures of the vendors that will be there. They're always adding new jems like Lucky Penny Burger and there was also a Moonshine vendor there. If I didn't have to go back to work I would've tried a few samples. I do wish some vendors were there more regularly instead of it being a hit or miss.

After Cinco de Mayo…read more It was a rainy day here in Harrisburg, PA. I took a job in Lancaster, but first, I needed my coffee--I think I'm addicted to it now! The day before, I had a great cup from Passenger, but today I stopped by Little Amps in downtown Harrisburg before hitting the road. The atmosphere was excellent; it reminded me of home in LA with the records playing, dim lighting, and vintage decor everywhere. I felt a bit torn, like one coffee house wanted me to stay and the other wanted me to leave, so I decided to "break myself in half" and visit both. After all, two of me is better than one! I highly rate Little Amps for the scenery. The vintage look and the outdoor seating make you feel like you're in Manhattan or Paris, giving you the vibe of three places all in one. If you haven't been to any of these spots yet, save your money and just visit Little Amps to get that "all-in-one" experience. The staff is very inviting and they do offer bagels, though I have to be honest: they aren't quite as good as New York bagels. I know New York bagels inside and out, and they know me! I hope my review helps you decide where to get your next caffeine fix.

I've walked and driven past it many times but had somehow never made it inside. Since Denim was also participating in the 2026 Cumberland Valley Coffee & Chocolate Trail, it felt like the perfect excuse to check it out and grab a quick late-afternoon pick-me-up. I walked in around 4pm and found a handful of people inside -- some chatting quietly, others working on laptops. The space was clean, calm, and welcoming, with soft music playing overhead. The woman at the counter was an absolute sunbeam on an otherwise dreary afternoon, greeting me warmly and happily taking my order. I went with an iced coffee with sugar-free vanilla syrup (extra sweet, please!) and oat milk. Total came to $5.25. While she prepared my drink, I took a moment to look around and realized what a great view Denim offers from their bar seating area. Full glass windows with stools looking out over the square in Carlisle make it a fantastic people-watching spot. That afternoon, the Farmers Market was set up across the square, and it was fun watching people dash between stands while dodging raindrops to grab their weekly goodies. It struck me as a perfect place to meet a friend, spend a few hours working on a laptop, or just decompress with a coffee and watch the world go by. Denim also had a small sweet treat case with snacks that would pair nicely with coffee. I stuck with just the drink this time, but everything looked tempting enough that I'd definitely consider adding a pastry next visit. A few minutes later my name was called and my drink was waiting at the end of the counter. One interesting touch: they placed the container of oat milk beside my coffee so I could add exactly as much as I wanted. It's a small detail, but not something you see at many coffee shops, and I appreciated the flexibility. The iced coffee itself was excellent. Unlike some places where iced coffee tastes like watered-down brown liquid, Denim's actually tasted like coffee -- strong, smooth, and delivering a solid caffeine boost. Overall: great service, really good coffee, reasonable prices, and a cozy spot right in the heart of town. The only real challenge is parking since it's so close to the square. Street parking is available nearby, but depending on the time of day you may need to circle a bit. All in all, a great little coffee stop and I'm glad I finally walked through the door.

It turned out to be exactly the kind of café I was looking for: comfortable, welcoming, and well-suited for spending a few hours with a laptop. A few highlights from my visit: Plenty of parking, including both street parking and their own dedicated lot. Lots of seating options both indoors and outdoors. Covered outdoor seating with heaters, fans, and electrical outlets, making it a great place to work regardless of the season. Friendly staff and fast service, even during a busy time. Dog-friendly outdoor seating area with a welcoming crowd. For my drink, I ordered the Iced Snickerdoodle Mocha with oat milk. It was delicious and struck a nice balance of flavor without being overly sweet. It was exactly the pick-me-up I needed after volleyball. Including tip, it came to about $7, which felt reasonable for a specialty coffee. A few other notes: They offer a selection of pastries that looked tempting and paired well with the coffee menu. There was a small line when I arrived around 12:30 PM on a Saturday, but the line moved quickly and my drink came out surprisingly fast. The café has one restroom, which was clean and included a baby changing table. What stood out most was how easy it was to settle in and work for a while. Between the ample seating, available outlets, and relaxed atmosphere, it's a great spot for remote work, studying, or simply catching up with friends over coffee. Overall, St. Thomas Roasters offers great coffee, friendly service, and an excellent environment for both productivity and relaxation. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their latte menu and spend another afternoon working from their outdoor patio.
