Elementary Coffee is the coffee shop in the back building of the famous Broad Street Market (one of America's oldest markets). It's a medium sized coffee stand serving espresso, drip coffee, lattes, and all other coffee products. The line is usually long (proving it's popular), but it moves fast. The service isn't the most friendly compared to other stands in the market, but no biggie. The coffee is good and they are efficient at doing business. One cool thing they do is allow customers pay for a stranger's coffee for the day. When you walk up to the front, you'll see a small magnet board with tokens representing free coffee people purchased for you. Grab one if you're having a bad day.

Coffee was middle of the road for me. Definitely seems a bit overpriced. The staff seemed a little cold and unwelcoming, unfortunately. The last two contradicting reviews had me wondering about the Baphomet stuff. This had me curious, so I took a look. It seems like they do have a selection of those items for sale. There are other local coffee shops that I'd prefer taste and price wise.

We stopped by the coffee shop in the market and was told to come to the coffee house to purchase loose tea. Wow! Happy we did. The two employees were awesome very knowledgeable and able to answer all questions we had on the loose tea for sale and Macha. I ordered the hopscotch and it was great. The salt that is ground as a topper hits your tongue and changes the flavor of the sip, only to have the next sip taste just a little different. We also ordered two chocolate chip cookies and they were outstanding! The Macha was tasty and we are going to try is again with almond milk. Awesome place and great customers and employees.

Went here at 10:45 am on a Friday. I ordered a cappuccino and my friend ordered a mocha. We both enjoyed our drinks. Service was casual and quick. There were 2 people waiting on drinks when we walked up, but we only waited a couple minutes for ours. Appreciate the signage & will return.

The best coffee hands down! A great menu but simple selections. Not only do they have your typical selections but drinks like the "Spiced One" that uses all fresh ingredents from the market but cold brewed coffee growlers to go! Amazing place!

Good coffee, but slow service. Also, in my opinion, too many political statements posted on the face of the business.

In the summer, I usually go with the sweet one, but sometimes mix it up with a nitro cold brew when it's available.

The West Shore Farmer's Market is actually so cool!!!! Just went for the first time yesterday and…read morewas really impressed. It was larger than the Harrisburg downtown one and reminded me of Reading Terminal in Philly (less crowded but still lots of options). There's also tons of parking all surrounding the building. The upstairs section has small specialty shops; the lower level is full of food vendors -- from produce to fresh pasta to tacos to pizza to pierogies to quiches. They also even had plant stands and floral arrangements. I got 1.5lbs of fresh made spinach fettuccine from Fasta & Ravioli, two very tasty bagels from Bagel Lovers (foccacia flavored and everything egg bagels--both were SO delicious and a great texture; they also had tons of other varieties like pumpernickel, onion, and blueberry, all made fresh daily and for a very reasonable price -- I think I paid something around $3 for my two bagels). I could've spent tons more time there but unfortunately was just stopping by after running an errand in the area. Needless to say, I will be back!!

Stopped by the market after a coworker mentioned they had opened a new fried chicken restaurant…read moreinside. I decided to give it a try, and overall, I was impressed. The fried chicken was the highlight of the meal. It had a golden-brown, crispy coating and was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and not dried out at all. The portions were generous, with some of the largest pieces of fried chicken I've seen from a hot food counter. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, making for a great side dish. The cornbread muffin was moist, soft, and paired well with the meal. The only downside was the potato wedges. They were seasoned well, but a few pieces tasted a little overcooked or burnt, which took away from an otherwise solid meal. Overall, this was a very good first experience. Between the large portions, fresh food, and flavorful chicken, it's definitely worth stopping in if you're looking for a quick comfort-food meal. I'd happily go back and try it again.

Great place to shop for local and fresh produce. The produce they sell is grown in their own farms…read more The honey they sell is extracted from their own beehives. Rest of the stuff is all locally produced - they carry seasonal fruit, jams, jellies, maple syrup and sugar. I've tried a number of vegetables from here - beans, tomatoes, green pepper, corn, potatoes and found all of these to be good quality. Absolutely love their fruits - blueberries and specially peaches. I come back every season for their red haven peaches which are my favorite. Sell in a small shed on Creekview road - the owner Tom and his son are real friendly and take great pride in their stuff. The business has been part of their family for generations, Tom being the 4th generation - his father was in the dairy business and Tom expanded it to incorporate produce and food. They sell some plants in pot too and this summer I got some planters of herbs, tomatoes and flowers from them. Would absolutely recommend this place because of quality and also to encourage a local vendor.
