Kate is exceptionally attentive to everyone's individual needs, constantly making adjustments through the session. She always seems to be right there when I need a little more guidance as a beginner. This is my first exposure to Yoga. I did not know what to expect. Kate is simply excellent. She sets a great tone, helps us all relax and focus, and blends instruction and care in just the right proportions. Wonderful funky atmosphere (it used to be an old Masonic Lodge and a lot of the accouterments were left to the present tennant). I came for the Yin Yoga (super stretching) class and was not disappointed. Will taught the class and it was tough but real authentic. He was humble, kindly, and very much an expert but without any arrogance and with a whole lot of caring. Yes, there were times when I thought I could not hold on but giving it the "old college try" paid off handsomely. I was a new woman the next day! Aches and pains large and small were erased,even tiny ones I had accommodated were lost! I am definitely making the CYS part of my weekly routine even if it is a little bit extra, it is so very worth it. Nice lineup of other teachers and styles there, too. Go and try it out, I think you will be impressed. Oh, took a special 3 hour class with the founder of TriYoga (Khaliji) what a great evening that was. Very beneficial. It's this that makes CYS such a gem.

I can't even remember it all. Finally, I just wanted a practice that felt a little more personal. When I discovered this lovely place, I wasn't sure what to expect. A studio inside of a teacher's home? I've seen a few of those before, but this could not be more the opposite. It doesn't *feel* like it is in a house, and actually it looks more like a yoga studio than some of the storefront studios out there. The shala itself is gorgeous. It is well maintained and when you practice as the sun is rising, the whole room seems to glow. It smells nice and home-y. Even if I don't want to come to practice, I always feel better after having done it. The Mysore style seems to be about learning at your own pace, practicing at your own pace, and developing a practice that supports you. I would really recommend checking it out. If you feel you don't have enough experience, that is certainly untrue. The Mysore style is a great place to learn, learn, learn.

Zoe was super welcoming and we were ready for our class. The inside of the class was dark with nice mood lighting. Throughout the class they planned calm music but current things like hozier. The class was rejuvenating but definitely quick because it's a flow. I was struggling sometimes but was able to pick up the next pose. At the end you get a cold lavender towel and it was so refreshing. I would definitely take a class here again!

My boyfriend often comments about how every time I return from yoga class with my hair plastered in sweat that I'm the most at peace he ever sees me. I never knew backbends and handstands could feel so good. I love going to the classes here so much, I volunteered to build the website (in exchange for some classes) just to make sure the word got out into the community. Charlotte, the main instructor, has traveled the globe honing her skills as a yoga teacher. Classes range from restorative yoga for people with health conditions, to general yoga directed to beginners and intermediate level students, and power yoga (or advanced) for students who have been practicing for some time. Conveniently located just blocks from MainStrasse in Covington, I highly recommend this studio for new and experienced students. There are several classes offered during the week, and the location is easy to find. Parking is typically available, especially after business hours. The instructors are friendly and always offer options that are more/less challenging to accommodate varying levels of ability in the class. The space is cozy but big enough to allow for a full class. Most of all, the classes are challenging and relaxing. I always leave feeling stronger and more centered, and I look forward to returning.

When I heard Worthy Yoga is a a faith based studio I couldn't wait to check it out, I heard about…read morethe studio from a friend and from a recent fitness event in town. I've been looking for a great restorative yoga class in Cincinnati since an instructor I previously took from for years moved out of town. I made it to Worthy Yoga last Thursday night, I was welcomed by Brenda the owner, there were several of us who were new to the class, but she made us feel welcome. I enjoyed she started off the practice with prayer and a bible verse, previous instructor I took from would always have a theme, a verse or a poem to read to the class setting, so we were off on the right foot. Restorative is a relaxing form of yoga with lots of props as you need them for twisting, resting, helps you really get into the poses. I enjoyed Brenda went around to adjust you to just the right position to make the most out of that practice and loved we had legs up the wall. I haven't practiced that pose in over a year, but found a wall, got in position and let the restorative work begin. Brenda signaled to finish the pose with the hitting of a charm/bowl, which was just the right soothing sound. She also went around the class and applied pressure at certain poses, if you wanted. After class several stayed around chatted, Brenda continued to be welcoming answering any questions and informing me of new classes coming up this fall.
