This hotel was not the best stay. We stayed for 6nights we were itchy our whole stay. My brother was bit by something his skin was swollen. The pull out sofa was gross it had on mattress. This dishwasher smelled burned the bowls were broke tops and lids broke. The kitchen napkins were disgusting so gross stains on the lips marks on the glass not somewhere I wanna stay.

We had a super nice stay here! I love the modern style of the element branch. Many times we get a room with a kitchen which is perfect for us since we're typically needing to stay for a week at a time. I didn't cook at all this time but it was still nice to have it available. There's a Costco super close by!

I have previously stayed at Element Hotels and have enjoyed them, from the environmental approach to the mini-suites and complimentary amenities. I checked the distance and the price and both seem to be good so booked the hotel through the Marriott website, which was easy to do. The hotel's location is a bit odd as it is basically located in the Costco parking lot and behind some apartments. It seems like the track of land was divided in half, with half of the land going to Costco and the other half going to apartments and the hotel. From the roadway, the apartments come first and then the hotel is in the back; it just seemed unique to me. In the front of the hotel was the parking lot and then the entrance to the hotel. As you entered in to the hotel, there was a small check-in desk on left and left was the kitchen where generally the complimentary breakfast would be provided. Straight ahead was a long and narrow sitting area/communal area with lots of couches and chairs. These faced to the large windows and patio which also contained chairs and a bbq area. After check-in, we received the key and proceeded to the room (the Element always provides their own luggage trolley's to assist in transporting your luggage - a great idea). Element rooms are designed as mini-suites and resemble a New York studio apartment with a bed, a sitting area, bathroom, and a mini-kitchen. As you entered the room, on the right was a long but narrow bathroom with a large sink on a counter (the size of the sink reduced the counter space), a toilet, and a shower; there was soap for the sink and refillable shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the shower. In the hallway, across from the bathroom, was a closet with an iron, ironing board, and a place to hang your clothes. Further into the room, along the left-side of the wall was the mini-kitchen which contained a sink, a stove, a large fridge, a dishwasher, plates, glasses, a sponge, and dishwashing liquid. There was also a mini-sink and a coffee maker on the large counter space. Continuing along the left-side of the wall, next to the kitchen was the TV which was mounted on the wall. Along the right-side of the wall were the two beds with a nightstand in the middle. The beds were comfortable, large for two people, and provided a goodnights sleep. There were also plenty of outlets near the bed or on the nightstand to charge all your electronic items. In between the beds and the kitchen was a desk and chair on side, which faced the kitchen, and a chaise lounge chair which was against the side wall and also faced the kitchen. Running along the side wall, above the chaise lounge chair, was the window which was large and let in lots of natural light. Even though there were lots of items and amenities in the room, it did not feel compact or stuffed (like some other hotel rooms) but felt more like a studio apartment in New York City. The Element provides lots of amenities for its guest including complimentary wifi, complimentary parking, complimentary breakfast, access to luggage carts, a full-stocked and large gym, a bbq grill for guests to use. a large patio to host bbq and outside activities, as well as a large indoor seating area for guests to enjoy. Due to the pandemic some amenities were not available or were curtailed, including breakfast which was not as extensive and mainly included mini-packs of cereal, yogurt, and breakfast bars which you could take to-go. Also, due to the pandemic their housekeeping services were drastically reduced and this put pressure on the front-desk, which having difficulty in responding to this pressure. Safety-wise, masks wearing and social-distancing signs were plastered everywhere but these were not enforced nor were guests ever reminded by staff. Overall, it was an interesting stay at the Element. The hotel room was nice, the amenities were still available, and the general vibe were good. The service was a bit strained and the lack of adherence to safety protocols was a bit concerning.

Made a reservation for 2 nights but was denied the room because they fully booked even though they confirmed the reservation. Drove an hour from the airport to the hotel with a toddler and was told to look for another hotel nearby. With this kind of practice, you should close down. Beware of this place, your room is not guaranteed.

The hotel offer refresh service every other day start on the 3" day of your stay. full services on the 6 " day of your stay. The next day of my stay the lady cleans I talk with her occasionally and I ask for a brum for my cats if the rooms needs and emergency refresh but the house keeping lady never returned. I went down stairs and ask for my bill and the receptionist told me that we will receive the bill the day of the check out. And when I ask for the cleaning services she just told me that she can gave me the towels instead of send the lady' to clean. I walk through the hall and all the garbage bags were out the door This was awful and unpleasant for me. The lady went to the room and just bring the towels and took the garbage that I already collected. The lady has a bad attitude and didn't do the job that she had chosen with contesy or like a profesional cleanner. I suggest the owner to training all the lady's and talk with the supervisor for this matter. I understand or think that we have the option to reject the keeping lady inside the room to do her job but in my case this lady disappeared and I really need to have my room organized and clean I do like that the toilet wasn't clean for the days i stay at the hotel and I have to ask for all the cleaning supplies I needed for replenished. Outside the door the hotel eventougth looks quiet and beay but the journey at the rest inn was not pleasant for me at this particularly location. Rooms dirty keeping ladys actitud wrong Receptionist unkind Thanks for reading

If you are just skimming this review then all you need to know is do NOT stay here!…read more Now, for the details: Booked a 2 Queen room, but they claimed upon check-in that the Military Discount only applies to active duty personnel, so they recommend a 2 room suite for a premium fee. When told that we just wanted the 2 Queen room, they said that the two room suite was cheaper. Traveling more than 4 hours, just wanted a room, so done ($250+ per night, absolutely a rip off). (I suspected that they either overbooked, or didn't have any Queen rooms.) Construction going on at this hotel (June 2025), just for your info. (Many hotels discount their rates a bit when they have construction going on, but not here). Breakfast was standard, so no issues there, except for the staff member who emptied the trash, but put the lid back on, not knowing a yogurt container was thrown away and from the reaction from the staff member, you would have thought a dirty diaper had been tossed out... The room was clean and the suite was nice, albeit expensive. However, the room was never cleaned until the front desk was approached and it was strongly requested. Again, for this kind of money, you would think that you would get the room cleaned and refreshed daily. The second night, early in the AM, (from approximately 1 AM to about 3:30 AM) the room above had a heard of elephants or perhaps a good old fashioned Texas rodeo was going on, maybe a stampede? Anyway, after a bit a call to the front desk resulted in no change, a second call to the front desk resulted in the clerk stating that she was the only employee in the hotel and couldn't do anything other than ask the loud guests to quiet down. Many concerns here, such as being right on the outskirts of Houston, and this being a larger hotel, there is no security or more than just one employee? Yikes! Not safe for the employee or the numerous guests! I called and spoke to the front desk in the morning and his indifference was overpowering. He basically brushed off ALL of my concerns from arguing with me about the price of the room, the change of rooms (he confirmed me suspicions when he told me there were only three 2 queen bed rooms in the whole hotel, so they were also premium), not that makes any sense at all, but he also stated that only active duty got discounts, but no retirees, when I asked about first responder discounts, he changed his tune and said, because of the premium room, there were no discounts. He also argued that the night clerk had done her job, which she may have done, e.g. called the room or what up there, but it was not effective. When I asked about escalation, e.g. calling the cops, he didn't have an answer, nor did he have one for my concern for the hotel night clerk and the guests staying there. By now, most hotel clerks would have spoken to their management about a discount or a room reduction due to the noise and poor nights sleep, inconveniences, oh and especially as it was a "premium room" and all that, but nope! The only thing he offered to die was put a few extra points on my Marriott rewards. Poor customer service and my biggest issue was the apathy and lack of empathy / caring. I did NOT feel valued as a customer at all. Very disappointed with the whole experience, I will NOT be staying at a Marriott chain (Residence Inn in this case), anytime in the near future. With so many hotels to choose from these days, look at the Yelp reviews and just call the hotel itself and ask general questions, and see how the staff responds to your questions, were they patient or were the rude or disrespectful, perhaps only just meh? In any case, from the prices hotels charge these days, I don't think it is too much to ask to be treated fairly, respectfully and professionally! 1 star removed for check in experience 1 star removed for front desk clerks apathy / attitude 1 star removed for construction and late night / early morning noise 1 star removed for overall experience and high cost (upselling) of room, etc. If I could given zero stars, I would have. I also called corporate Marriott to see if their customer service folks gave a darn, the lady I spoke with was very patient and kind and listened, but not sure what will come of that, if anything.
