We stayed at this hotel for three separate nights in December. The location is very convenient, right off I-10, which made getting around easy. There's even a Popeyes within walking distance, which was a nice bonus if you like fried chicken! This is a smaller property with only 69 rooms, so upgrades are understandably limited, even as a Diamond member. That said, it wasn't an issue for us. The hotel is advertised as recently renovated, and while there were a few minor issues here and there, nothing impacted our stay in any negative way. Spent one night here on our cross Country bike trip from Florida to New Mexico. This place was strategically chosen so that in the morning when we left (heading west on I-10) we would already be on the west side of Houston and hence avoid those dreaded downtown traffic jams. Anyhow Hampton lived up to its name by providing clean, quite, and comfortable accommodations. I slept like a baby, ... and in the morning we were good to go for another scenic 600+ miles! The most polite thing I can say about my recent stay at the Hampton Inn in Katy is that it was disappointing. I travel for business 6 - 7 times a year and stay almost exclusively in Hilton/Hampton properties. This was the least comfortable I've been in several years. Between a non-functioning shower (until it was fixed) to the A/C that sounded like a blast furnace once it got going, this room was a complete cluster f**k. Shame on me, I suppose, for not requesting a change. I'd reported my list of issues to the front desk on Tuesday morning (checked in Monday evening) and two of the four problems had been seen to. The other two problems - both noise related - persisted through my stay. I'm not sure what else to say. I thought that the noise issues were on someone's list and I didn't want to be the whiny guy. Instead, I ended up being the guy who only got about four hours of sleep over three days. Ah well. Lesson learned. read more

Bed bugs absolutely destroyed my head, neck, forehead, left arm and left hand. Went to the Dr and was told bed bug bites, after I did my own research. The diagnosis is scabies aka bed bug bites. The reason I know it was this hotel is b/c it's the 1st night away from home and symptoms arrived following morning. The GM told me that my Dr should educate me on scabies. There is no such thing as a diagnosis of bed bugs, that's just what is norms call it. The GM was apologetic, but at the same time was not accepting any responsibility for what happen. She says I should have reported it immediately, we'll since she wasn't educated in bed bug bites -they don't show symptoms for about a day. Simple Google search, taught what they are and what they look like, plus I went to the Dr. I will be filing a lawsuit ASAP. I tossed out 4 days of clothes, my bag, bombed my home once o got there wearing what last outfit I had. I'm a diamond member, not b/c this was my 1st night in a hotel... it's so bad that it's purely disgusting, it's everywhere I look when I look in the mirror. read more

Once again, I am traveling, and once again, I stayed at a Hampton Inn. Because I spent about a month of the year at these properties, I know what to expect: easy check-in, nice, clean room, smart, attentive staff, good prices, wireless, and breakfast. What separates this property from the others are the appointments to the hotel and the staff. Chelsea and her associate introduced themselves, welcomed me for staying here for the first time, and when I realized I arrived without shaving cream, Chelsea gave me some. Phew! Chelsea saved the day! The room was great: granite tiled entryway, big room, great, comfy bed, and quiet surroundings. If you end up in Katy, stay here because you are really getting a $200 room for $139. Not bad, huh? The only criticism is that they need a new microwave in the breakfast area. I'm not an electrician, but it was a struggle to use it and then shut off the incessant beeping. The attendant had to unplug it to shut it off. Weird. read more

I didn't spend the night here, but stopped here for ~30 minutes. My husband and I were driving into Houston from San Antonio and didn't make it to our Hilton Hotel downtown before he had a morning conference call he had to take. Coffee shops are often too loud and we came across this Hampton Inn. We are Hilton time share "owners" so we feel personally connected to each Hilton brand hotel, including the awesome Hampton Inns. We talked to the person at the front desk and she allowed my husband to use their business center for his conference call while I waited in the lobby area. Their seating is super comfortable and they have 2 flat screens which is kind of nice. They also have complimentary Internet and breakfast if you stay here. read more

I really can't stay, baby it's cold inside. I got to get away, baby it's cold inside....The hotel is actually pretty clean and convenient. Front desk staff very friendly. Only issues were the room AC would would work, but would never cut over to the heat...no bueno when it's 40 degrees outside... also the Tv would never come on, but since I was only there just to sleep and get back on the road, it really wasn't that big of an issue. The hotel wasn't packed, and the breakfast was "adequate" enough...no smoothies or anything. Just the basics. Not a bad stay, just not a great one. read more

Be extremely careful if choosing to stay at this Hampton Inn during the current situation. The blatant disregard of social distancing was disturbing. I noticed that none of the housekeeping team members were wearing masks or even keeping space from guests in the hallway. Furthermore, I could tell none of the cleaning protocols were being followed as with other Hilton locations. As I was leaving, the manager came out of the office with no mask. I asked him if the mask requirement was for guests only, and he replied that he wasn't in a common area as he strolled through the lobby. I said, "but your team members", and he interrupted with "I like to be able to smile at my guests." As I packed my vehicle he walked out and waived his mask at me from his hand. Hilton is doing a good job overall keeping other hotels clean, but this is a scary example being set. Houston is a hotspot, and I know many people in Katy alone struggling with COVID. A hotel manager should probably not be making this a joke when people have to travel for work. read more

I made a reservation with this place at 10am traveling east, had vehicle breakdown and canceled at 4pm. they were not booked and said no problem. 2 days later see charges for room. call and talk to three people who tell me to talk to the General Manager (use the term loosely) Stefanie, well 10 calls and 2 weeks later and I FINALLY get her on the phone; she answers and is immediately argumentative and tells me she already told me there is nothing she can do. when i ask who can resolve it, she becomes belligerent and wont let me get a word in; one of those "if I keep talking, you cant talk and I win the argument". the conversation devolves, I give up and yadayadayada, I'm out 145 dollars. Dont stay here by all means. they are owned by Kiev Hospitality, an immigrant who filed for bankruptcy recently, and have no interest in customer care...only the money and explains why the manager would rather yell about what my conversation was with someone else than listen or empathise, they just want to get paid. GM needs EXTENSIVE customer service training. Hilton should be ashamed, they were appalled when I spoke with corporate and are working to refund my stay. read more

n 2/7/2022 I made a reservation online for a 10 night stay at the Hampton Inn Houston-Katy. On 3/8/2022, I modified the reservation to a one night stay. Upon checking in on 4/13/2022 at around 11 pm, Brenden confirmed that we would only be staying for the one night. On 4/14/2022, we left the hotel. No belonging were left in our room. Since covid, we have been receiving our receipts via email for our records. We left the keys at the hotel and thought nothing was out the norm. I realized that in the afternoon, I had not received my receipt. I checked my credit card statement and saw two charges from Hampton, $207.93 and $1465.84. I contacted customer assistance who directed me straight to the hotel. The manager, Stephanie refuses to refund the money. She called me a "lier" (her words) and said that when we checked in we directed Brenden to change the reservation to ten days. She also said that belongings were left in the room. I assure you that neither is true. If we were staying 10 days, I would have modified the reservation to make sure we would have a room a head of check in. In stead of just admitting to making an honest mistake, she insulted my integrity and has basically stolen my money for services I never wanted or approved. I have the confirmation to confirm the stay of one night only. There were no belongs left. When I looked at my reservation on my phone on 4/13 it was one night. They deliberated changed it to 10 and are calling me the lier. I assure you that any future stays will be at the Comfort Inn. I want my funds refunded to my card, but I am still waiting on a call back.... not holding my breath. They seem to manipulate the truth and insult customers. read more

Looked nice upon arriving; the lobby was clean, smelled fresh and the breakfast/lounge area looked comfy and inviting. Once we got up to our room, we were taken aback by the strong smell of what we later decided had to be mold or mildew. The stinch literally stopped us in our tracks. We were in a bit of a hurry so we changed our clothes and as we went to leave, asked for a change in rooms. The woman at the desk was kind and accommodating but didn't really act surprised. Our new room smelled much better and the bed was even a bit more comfortable. However, in the new room the shower didn't drain correctly. I had water up last my ankles by the time I was done. And the walls. My god these walls are paper thin. I could literally hear conversations through the bathroom vent from what I can only assume was a room upstairs. Lastly, our card was charged twice- once for the moldy room and again for the room we were moved to. All in all, it was an ok stay. Would I stay again? Nope. It just wasn't worth the hassle for a one night stay. Update: Our card was actually charged three times and the front desk staff argued that it wasn't. A manager had to be involved and we were informed that the counter help was new and shouldn't have put us in the first room due to "drainage issues. So, after 4.5 hours of calls and arguing, our card was refunded. Twice. read more

I am staying here for Easter weekend, this place is super nice, we had an issue as soon as we came off the plane that our car rental place was closed. We spent an hour trying to figure out what to or who to speak with about that meanwhile I had forgotten we were to check in at 11 with the hotel, I called ahead of time and spoke to Brandon and let him know what happened at the airport in a panic. Brandon remained calmed and said it was fine just to check in when we got here. We got to the airport after finding a ride there about an hour and 1/2 after check in and he was very friendly and super helpful. Even I was in a panic and a mess from what happened at the airport he also offered to upgrade our room which was super nice after the time we had. Nothing with the rental was his fault but he made sure to at least make the rest of the night and stay here happy! The room was super cleaned and sanitized. The remote comes in a baggy with it labeled sanitized. Everything was clean ceilings, bed, bathroom. They do still offer breakfast in boxes but not the buffet. I'm so happy. A hotel with beautiful wood work, easy check in, clean rooms, and a delicious free breakfast including waffles and eggs? The beds are comfy (fun to jump on), and bathrooms are nice with a faux brown stone trim. All of this for a very affordable price and free parking (a thing I cannot value enough in California or while traveling). The internet service is free but terrible. I was booted off several times. :( But, I would stay here again in a heart-beat. The hotel staff is helpful, and they even give you complimentary toothpaste and razors if needed. I stay here for a week at a time quite often yet I am still charged $160 per night. I like to exercise. Here is my experience with the 'fitness center' - the TV on the wall does not work, the TV on the one eliptical machine is stuck on CNN, the TV on the one bicycle has no sound. The exercise room is filthy. The lobby is dated. For all of the time I have stayed here, there has never been, not once, a bannana available in the morning. The staff is nice and responsive. The Hampton Inn in Katy, TX was super clean, very new, and wonderful to stay at. Anytime you book a hotel, the fear is that you'll arrive to discover that it's a non-updated dump from the 80's. Not at all the case here! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are travelling on I-10. read more
