We stopped by for a late lunch/snack and we shared a burger. The homemade pickles and homemade bagel for a bun were excellent. I had a dark beer that I really enjoyed with the burger, my wife had a rum based cocktail which she thought was perfect. We bought a limited edition rye whiskey bottle and now I wish I had bought two. Enjoyed it straight up and later as a Manhattan and I think it might have been closest to what my Dad used to say was the best version. So Helpful with choosing the right beers which my husband ended up trying a Floght of beers that the Bartender suggested and we enjoyed each ! My husband then ordered the Cheese Board which had warmed Pita Bread with various cheeses, olives pickled onions sliced cucumbers and small pickles different cheeses!! So Delicious and Tasty!! The Flatbread's my husband ordered oh my the tomato and cheese tasted like we were in Italy and the Fig , Brie and Prosciutto was also delicious!! What a Great Find!! I stopped in here while visiting the area and was excited to see the cost and how inexpensive it was for a glass! It was just $5 for 10.5oz, for ANY of their beers ($7 for 16oz). Usually you see some beers more expensive than others so this was pretty cool. The Nitro was good, as was the Red Giant. Overall decent beer for inexpensive! The inside was very funky with science related decor all over. Their spirits are even in beakers! Parking right out front was easy and there was a good amount of seating. As my vehicle cruzed past Element Brewery, located in the hills of Northern Massachusetts, I didn't initially realize it was a brewery. At first glance the greenish, orange building appeared to me to be a store that sold brew kits for smaller batch brewers. Once inside, I was asked if I'd like to take the tour of the facility, followed by a tasting. Free high gravity beer? Heck Ya! The tour covered every step in the process for the current line up of suds being offered. The group totalled five and my buddy and I accounted for 100% of the questions, that Dan kindly obliged in answering. Red Giant, Plasma, Seasonal, the beers kept coming in 6oz glasses filled to about 3oz, but really complex. I was feeling a bit pedestrian in my fall beer selections, so what better place to make up for it than in a brewery? I dropped roughly an eighty spot and have nothing to show for it now but a bunch of empty bottles and some wonderful memories of which I am very full of. Look these guys up if your a lover of craft beer. From the first employee I met to the partner I shared some laughs with, I left feeling like I was momentarily plucked from a Norman Rockwell goes dog buying and beer tasting painting. read more

Great little micro brewery in Western MA! Good beer selection and big flights (6 tasters for a hefty $20). I really enjoyed the overall theme of the place - the chemistry of brewing. Lots of science formulas, beakers, and atom looking light fixtures around. Food menu looked great but didn't order anything as we just had dinner before we stopped in. Definitely trying the food next time! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of shirts, glasses, stickers etc. Love that they have a game room with Foosball, pool and darts. Bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated. Only had a few sips of the bf's flight as I had to drive home, but will come back to try a full pour of a brew or two! read more

Very nice atmosphere and a friendly staff made the visit very welcoming. We tried the plasma, LESO, Dark oak, Dark Vanilla on tap and took home a thermonuclear, black lightning and pie rum. The beers were all fantastic and each had it's own appeal. The dark oak was fantastic, great dark stout without the bitters. The LESO, I've tasted nothing like it, nice hoppy flavor that finished with lavender. Dark Vanilla had the bitter normally associated with a dark beer but had very strong vanilla nodes. I had rice noodles which were excellent and complimented the beer nicely.. Later on the evening we opened the hard stuff. The thermonuclear is a high class fireball, we chilled it after trying it and it was smooth. The pie run we also chilled which went down nicely. The food is amazing! The smoked wings are amazing! I actually said fabulous and I never use that adjective!! We also ordered Mediterranean nachos, veggie flat bread (so good!), prosciutto flatbread and Ruben egg rolls! We don't like hoppy beer. The red oak beer is very good. Miller Falls lite is good too. Turkey and eggs sourced from Diemand egg farm. Seriously. The owner is clearly passionate about their craft. Glad I had a chance to talk with him. They have a small menu of hot bar snacks! What's not to love? We tried the deviled eggs and they were absolutely divine. Wanted a light snacks so we ended up trying the quesadilla and we were pleasantly surprised with the flavor. You have to try the homemade brewed whiskey with their homemade vanilla Cola. So smooth and relaxing. We were sitting there for a while just enjoying the atmosphere when we realize they also had a game room. We're planning on coming back one day with some friends. read more

In town visiting and was very excited to see a brewery close by. Element has a cool interior and is dog friendly! My pup enjoyed herself and visiting with the other patrons. I ordered the 6 beer flight and enjoyed walking through their beer selection. Particularly fond of the mango-y IPA, Parallax, and the Brut Pale Ale, Prototype, which had champagne vibes. Nice taproom with a pretty eclectic selections of beers. My only critique is that I was driving and there was really only one beer on tap that day that I could enjoy a full pour of. I bought some vodka for a friend who is on the Keto diet. Don't let the weird storefront of Element, which looks like an old general store or maybe a current one, fool you. There are tasty beers waiting inside for you to sample. Element's tap room is.. strange. It's small and it looks like everything else surrounding this place has been condemned. However, the sleepy town is harboring a beer secret. We were floored by their gluten free Plasma. We do not drink gluten free beers and upon accidentally ending up with one: usually say Blech. However, I would drink Plasma on the regular, it was really good. Brewed with millet, Aramis, buckwheat and brown rice. Mmm. It was super smooth and refreshing, with a high ABV. Most of the beers here had a high ABV - which was surprising because only a few tasted that way. Altoberfest was just coming out and very good, an awesome fall seasonal. Different than the standard you find at every other brewery for the fall season. It was the first Altbier I have seen anywhere locally brewed. We were really impressed with the uniqueness and the flavor of their beer. It was not the standard lineup of ales that you find most places. The tap room staff was really nice and made conversation with us. We will drop by again for sure, especially to get special bottles that don't make it all the way to Cambridge. read more

Growing up in Millers Falls- I knew this location as the post office. It was odd to walk into a brewery where I used to buy stamps for my mom! That being said- Element beer is very good- on par with beer from areas such as San Diego, where I currently call home. The gents at Element were very cool and showed us around when we came to visit - and we took their suggestion and went next door to the Miller's Pub and had a few pints of their brew along with some wicked good fresh french fries. If you are in Western Mass, look them up. It will be worth the effort! read more

Not only are their beers delicious, but we really enjoyed spending some time at the brewery. This place is tiny, which is neat to see because their beers are well recognized. The person who was working gave us a tour, spent some time talking to us about the beers and the history and some of their upcoming events, poured us some delicious beer, and then solved a rubix cube behind his back in under a minute. Element Brewing Co is a cozy brewery serving delicious & distinctive beers. You can get a 5oz pour of any beer for $3 and a 10.5oz pour for $5 - great way to taste a variety of the beers before going home with a reasonably priced growler or bottle. The bartender was friendly, knowledgable and attentive. I would bring friends or family here to sample some really fine western mass beers. Just a note about the beers, when I say distinctive I mean the beers here have some really unique qualities. For example the Plasma "Sake IPA" is brewed with rice instead of the usual grains so it is naturally gluten free and in the process of fermenting it generates some of the same qualities you taste in Sake. However this beer also has the crisp hopiness one expects from an IPA. I also loved the Oak beer which was so drinkable and delicious. NB both of these beers were over 7% ABV and Sake IPA was 9% or more. STRONG, delicious beers that are refreshing and memorable. Wow definitely come here if you love good beer & if you're looking for something different than you'll find at most local breweries. read more

I was driving home from Vermont and I saw their store front and stopped in. This was my first experience with Element Brewing company. They offered some samples and gave us a full tour of their brewery. I took an anniversary edition of their dark element beer home with me. I will be buying beer from them in the future and hope to stop by again. They make some great beers and for the quality I think the price is great. read more

Okay so the beers are really good. There were only two that I FELL in love with though and those were the Dark Element and the Extra Special Oak. Everything else was good but I wouldn't really make a big deal about them. The prices are sort of ridiculous, I mean they do have super fancy packaging and the decor of the place is incredible! It's so interesting, but I couldn't afford really anything. There was a awesome deal with for 18 bucks that was a "surprise package" and you get two beers but you don't know which ones. I opted for that and got two magical beers. Otherwise the beers are about 14 dollars each, or even more if you are getting a crazy aged one. They are corked so you can age them and they will last and taste fresh longer. The guy who was working there was incredible, he knew all about beer and mentioned where I can get it locally on TAP since I'm not from MA which is nice. I love it when the people pouring beer clearly LOVE what they are doing. read more

Really wonderful product. This place is very easy to miss if your driving in. We encountered zero places to park in front but you can find parking near by. Were welcomed by one of the partners and owners upon our visit. We were welcomed into the brewery. Which is just in the back of the shop, he spoke a bit about the brewing process. Very knowledgeable and personable. Then we were offered samples of their product to sample. Tried the ESO, Dark element and Red Element. All exciting different products. Everything is bottle conditioned which makes it that much more thoughtful than many of the breweries in the area. Took home their seasonal offering called Brix (bottle 860 of 860 I may add). We'll cellar it for April and enjoy it as the winter cold moves off. read more

Soon after I first encountered it, Element's "Dark Matter" (now Dark Element) became one of my favorite beers. Since then, I've been buying their three standard beers regularly -- most frequently the Dark Element -- and their seasonal beers as they are made. The seasonal beers are expensive, as is their anniversary beer, 6:56 Double Dark Element, but in my opinion worth it, if you like dark, malty beers as I do. A visit to their store, which is the only place to get the 656, was enjoyable. Their next seasonal is a wheat beer with maple syrup, with the wheat from Gill, MA, malted in Hadley, MA, and the syrup from Worthington, MA, about 30 miles away. It's hard not to love a group that can make such good beer out of ingredients so close by; it makes you think they'll be around forever -- and that would be a Good Thing. read more

The service was great as the owners are the brewers and were attentive and hands on (they canned the beer I bought to go). If you get a chance to go on the weekend when they have food, do it. Beer was really good. Loved that it's dog friendly. The flight comes with 6 beers which is really cool. We thought it was kinda pricy though. $20 for the flight. We usually pay $5 or $8 for a flight of 4. I would still say go and check it out. I did like it. read more

On an annual trip to the big candle factory this year I thought I would make a point to check out this brewery. Boy am I glad we did. The beer is awesome and the place is in an old post office building in a very small town. Josh is definitely an asset of the brewery and just plain friendly. Josh is the resident "Brewbix cube" expert. I'm sure he would be happy to show you his skills. We bought a special grab bag (best deal) and got 2 year old bolltes of the Dark element and one of the altober fest. Can't wait to try them out. super cool guys, nice little back roads brewery turning out some excellent big bottle conditioned beers (AND malt vinegar?! i have never seen 'craft' malt vinegar in a brewery before) .. really liked all the beers, even the gluten free offering - really really liked Dark Element and Dark Vanilla (i think i bought the last bottle). If you like beer and it isn't too far off your path I would suggest stopping in - possibly my favorite Massachusetts beers. read more
