When you're driving in it feels like an alley but there are a few shops near it and you can park there to avoid street parking. When you come in you pick your vessel and get situated at the bar. From there you get a choice of 60 scents to include in your candle! They advise you to narrow it down to top 5-6 or so so they can help you mix the best scents for your candle. Once you've narrowed it down you smell the oils together and get guidance from the employees on what pairs best. Then based on the size of your vessel they will give you a measurement of how much to include in your mixture and voila! You have a uniquely made candle for your home. They also offer discounted refill programs if you bring back your empty candle vessel. I highly recommend checking this place out!

You can mix and match different scents-- they have hundreds to choose from-- a mix of every kind of scent you can imagine, including seasonal options. I told the team member who was helping us through the experience that I really wanted a candle that smelled like handsome rugged man had just left my house. Lol... And boy did we nail it! In general, it's a cute little vibe inside, and a very calming cathartic experience! At least when we went... it was at night there was only one other party there so it was very chill vibes and we loved it! It's a little on the pricey side, but well worth it in my opinion, and the cool thing is they keep track of the scents that you create, and you can refill the vessel when your candle is done burning ! Heads up, you don't get to take the candle with you immediately. You have to come back at least 24 hours later to pick it up, but they will hold it for up to two weeks. This is because the candle needs to dry and you obviously don't want hot wax slashing around all over your car. So keep that in mind if you're booking for a birthday or bachelor/bachelorette party and you have guests from out of town. Plan ahead and book your experience a few days before you actually want to take the candle home just to be on the safe side!! Highly recommend, will definitely be back! And probably going to be gifting some people and experience this holiday season!

I have come here twice, once to just buy a candle and the second time for their full make your own candle event. The make your own candle event involves choosing a vessel, choosing a scent, combining your scent with hot wax, adding wicks, and combining it all together. The whole experience maybe takes 30-45 minutes. Then you leave and come pick it up in 3 hours so the candle can harden. It was super fun and I really enjoyed making and having my candles, but they should change which wicks are used. Both the super narrow with 1 wick, wide with three wicks, and their house-made single wick candle I purchased before don't burn to the edge which wastes a bunch of the lovely wax. Even with an unlimited time first burn all three candles started tunneling and burning down before reaching the edge of the vessel. I have other candles from other companies about the same sizes that burn all the way to the edge without having a hard time but they have different wicks (thicker or wood or otherwise different) than the Paddywax ones. Overall great time for their class and their candles smell lovely but I wouldn't consider their candles the best value if you can't melt much of the wax.

They had a wide variety of candle bases and scents to choose from. Some of the bases could be used for other uses for environmental purposes like a ramen bowl, glass, etc. the classics normally $45 but we happened to book during Black Friday for 35 dollars. I believe the last Friday of the month they will refill your vase/base for $10. This is a cute candle shop even if you're just looking to grab a ready made candle! Check out this candle bar!

Solid Beauty, Stylish Comfort…read more I've never had a crush on a piece of furniture. That was before Modern Bungalow. The sight of my headboard now makes me sigh happily like a school girl. It all started when I couldn't find the right bedframe. The decor style of our home has been inspired by The designs of Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles Rene Macintosh; hardwood, understated, tasteful. But I could not find anything that suited me. Thanks to Modern Bungalow, our Cal King wooden headboard was custom created, delivered, and assembled - it will last a lifetime. I am in love with the warm rich honeyed hues of the wood and elegant design details. The solid construction provides a foundation for nights of restful sleep.

That was my experience with ordering a pantry from Modern Bungalow. It took a few months to arrive, because Amish master craftsmen took the time to build an absolutely stunning piece of furniture, from carefully chosen pieces of gorgeous maple wood. If the pantry were small enough to fit on a dresser, I'd call it a jewelry box; it's that beautiful. The pantry is amply-sized. Using traditional hand-tooled and mortise-and-tenon joinery techniques, the pantry is meticulously constructed. The substantially deep shelves, which I have already loaded with giant heavy canned goods (like San Marzano tomatoes, for making my famous pasta sauce), and bottles of imported vinegars and California's finest olive oils, not to mention a cartload of baking supplies, provide ample storage for any manner of pantry goods, and the hardware used for the pantry doors is substantial enough to keep them from ever sagging. Thank you, Modern Bungalow, for helping me to obtain an heirloom-quality pantry that my kids will likely fight over some day, right after my funeral.
