Just having moved to SF was looking for a Salon. Would say this was some of the rudest service ever. First person approached and asked me what service I wanted. She told me I needed the $65 service (climate and dryness). I explained first visit so just wanted basic. She stared running the water and just wandered off. Stood down the aisle doing nothing. Water kept running into basin getting closer to over flowing. Then the stylist next to me, while taking care of her own client, reached over to turn off the water. I then sat for another 7 minutes, no one helping me. I saw the original person then walk over to another client to start with her. She then sent a younger guy over (none of this being his fault) who then started to pitch me services again. I had enough. I left. I would absolutely not recommend this place! First of all, the lady next to me got a manicure. I observed the nail tech reach into her drawer and pull instruments out and use them on her. After she was done, she put the instruments back into her drawer. Secondly, they have one nail brush per sink for you to wash your hands. The same brush is used by anyone who washes their hands. Thirdly, my nails look like crap! I have been getting powder dip for many years, I have never had it drilled off and applied like acrylic. The top coat does not completely cover some of my nails and the gold line I asked for doesn't even cover the nail tip. Some of my nails are bumpy and not smooth, complete garbage. When I was done and about to pay, the nail tech who was doing my daughter n laws nails asked for her phone and entered an actual review on goggle. She had only had her nails done and the nail tech entered that my daughter n law also had a pedicure and gave herself 5 stars. I know that I am not a licensed nail tech but this place seriously needs to be inspected by the state. My daughter n law paid $50 for a full set which I would expect, why would my dip powder be $64! In my 63 years of life I have never had such terrible service and terrible pedicure. We were in the mall and it was convenient to get our pedicures there. Although we were seated quickly, nothing was good after that. They filled the basin with burning hot water which almost overflowed because they were not monitoring it. Then they filled it with cold water which was then too cold. The lady at my chair kept sitting down for 1 second, then getting up again, over and over again. She tore into my big toe cuticle which was really painful. The person doing my daughter's toenails said it was an ingrown toenail - which I have never had. She didn't make the top of my toenails smooth and due to language barrier I wasn't able to tell her what I needed. When she went to massage my feet, it was the weirdest thing ever. Like a 4 yr old trying to massage, then abruptly slapped the bottoms which was also weird. All the while she was looking up at me smiling and nervous laughing. A male worked on my daughter's toenails. He spoke English, and I couldn't see what he was doing, but when we got to the car it was easy to see how bad her pedicure was. Her cuticles were not cut well, the polish doesn't go across the nail, and there are rough edges on top. It's shocking I paid $69.40 plus $10 tip, which I wish now I had not tipped at all. Absolutely the worst manicure I've ever had. Staff were disinterested and used overly rough files. I use gel polish and most places are careful to either use a solution to remove it or gently file it off but she took my nails nearly to the flesh below. My nails are not usually thin but it will take a long time to get them back to a healthy state after this. The polish was awful too, lumpy, thick. It started chipping days later and gel usually lasts 2-3 weeks on my nails. That and of course because the filed my nails so thin, three nails split into the quick. read more

I made a reservation for mid/pedi yesterday. When I arrived, the person I was greeted by didn't know about the reservation and didn't listen to what I wanted. My visit was 2.5 hours! Altho the owner was very apologetic, they were working with other clients before me, they finally assigned a woman to give me a manicure whose work was not as good as I could do myself (one of my nails is already chipping!). I'm in town on a long visit, so nails needed help before I could get home. I searched for nail salons that do powder dip and weren't booked out for two weeks; this location was also nearby. Well, Lynn did a fine job on my nails and I'm quite pleased! I don't do nail art because it looks messy to me, but Lynn suggested doing one nail and if I didn't like it, she'd remove it. Her design was delicate and subtle, so I loved it. Linda did my pedicure; I normally get regular polish, but they only have gel to match my powder. Pedicure felt good and I'm pleased with the results. They could've upsold me on one of their luxury pedicures, but I'll know to ask next time I'm in town. read more

The employee I interacted with continually tried to get us to up grade, yet when we had enquired about add ons earlier, she shrugged and her facial affect was clearly that of annoyance. She talked me into waxing my face and she was so rough with peeling the fabric off my face that my face had an irritation/breakout for 3 days. It was painful and ugly. We've been going here for years but they are in steep decline. On today's visit, not only had their prices gone up significantly but they have also hired several very young men (ours was 22) who I believe have no training and no qualifications. This young man cut my thumb very badly. Not only will I be unable to type or do housework properly until it heals, which could be a while, they still charged for the manicure which I find outrageous. While the wait was an hour longer than expected this was well worth it. My sister and I have gone everywhere in town and they are the best. I am very picky, but they still fixed everything to my liking and charged a decent price . I got a new set of dip with gel color for $50! That's comparable to ABQ prices . I really wanted to give this salon a chance even after reading all the bad reviews. I cannot give them any stars after my experience with them. I walked in hoping for a mani/pedi. Was told in a very impolite way to come back in 30 minutes. I returned after 30 minutes only to be abruptly told to come back in 40 minutes. I kindly reminded the woman I'd already been here and was told to come back now. Again she sharply said come back in 40 minutes. I would say this place is adequate, but nothing special by any means. A mani pedi is $32 but because I got French on both it was $42. They do their French subtraction method by adding too much and then using a paint brush with acetone to take some away and clean up the skin and lines. I'm not a fan of this method because you cannot put a light layer of pink under the white and the acetone creates bubbles while it's drying (see photo). It's clean...ish. They line the foot soaking tubs with plastic. I have seen them change the plastic on previous visits but I did not happen to see them changed this visit. It is also always busy here. Especially around noon during the week and weekend. Call ahead and make and appointment but also make sure you have a time buffer in case they cannot accommodate you during your slot. read more

My nails are sore from all the drilling and filing. I am sure they are ruined underneath this mess of polish. I asked to match the color I picked for my nails for my toes. Not even close and polish is slapped on - she was mad I didn't do the more expensive gel. Waste of time and money. I tried to stop her and she insisted she was doing it better.
