I had the absolute best experience with Diana! I have very thin hair and have always had such a hard time styling it, so I honestly wasn't expecting to feel this amazing about my hair. But for the first time ever, I walked out of a salon feeling so confident and beautiful!! I genuinely could not stop showing off my hair afterward. I was sooo happy with how it turned out. She truly cares about her work, takes pride in what she does, and has such a natural talent for hair. I was so impressed that I already booked another appointment with her. I'm so happy and would absolutely recommend Diana to anyone looking for someone who is talented, caring, and passionate about what she does. read more

First time client, great experience.Diana listened to me but capitalized on her expertise to make my hair look amazing.

I went to this salon today for the first time. Everyone was friendly and upbeat. I had an appointment with the owner Claudia Cruz, she was really great and my hair looks beautiful. They use Schwarzkopf hair color, which is an amazing product. read more

Really beautiful place. Welcoming and well laid out. The staff seems to get along well- which makes a difference- and is very friendly.

I have been coming to Elegant Image for what seems like over 10 years now! The owner Claudia first started doing my hair when I was in middle school and has been there every step of the way for me through high school proms, hair cuts when I was home from college and graduate school and now as a full time working professional home for the holidays. I have trusted the Elegant Image team with my hair for so long, which is why I keep going back! Claudia does such a nice job that it makes it worth it for me to hold out on getting my hair done for a few extra weeks for until I am in town visiting with family. The salon is small and had a family feel environment. This is why I love it! No other place in Westfield is so down to earth and cares as much about their customers as Elegant Image. The prices are great and keep me coming back! Highly recommended!!!!! read more

Elegant Image Salon - This is me after Claudia was attentive to dying my blonde highlights to brunette! - Hair Salons Near Me - Westfield, New Jersey

I love this salon! It's gorgeous inside with beautiful crystal chandeliers and big comfy couches to wait for your stylist. Mandy styles my hair but there are many capable stylists there. They all keep current on the latest hair trends so your look is always up to date and fresh. There is pretty much nothing they can't do. There aren't enough great things to say about this salon. Prices are in line with other typical upscale salons read more

I've been coming here now for awhile and felt I should update my review. I really love this hair salon. I feel very welcomed from the first time I came here. They always have coffee brewing. This is not your typical beauty shop. The owner Claudia is so amazing! She runs this salon like all her employees are family. Everyone is extremely respectful of one another and all the beauticians help each other out. Whether it's washing someone's hair or helping with blow drying. Your won't find any cut throat people here. All the girls are very polite and friendly. They all have experience and I feel they truly listen to their clients. These girls really enjoy what they do, and they never make you feel like they don't want to be there. Crystal does beautiful highlights, especially on blondes along with many other things. Amanda does great blowouts and intricate braiding. Claudia does everything along with bridal parties. They all cut men's hair, children's hair and straightening treatments too . They use really good quality products on your hair. They really do a terrific job. Elegant Image is known for a lot of repeat clientele . Once someone is a customer they seem to return again and again. Many have been coming here for years. I know this only because when I'm here I talk to other customers to get their opinion. This salon is very down to earth. What makes it special is it's small and very comfortable. If your looking for a high buck fancy salon experience then this place isn't for you. If you want a good haircut, or color and simple waxing. Then by all means please try them. This salon is very fairly priced compared to all the salons in Westfield. I always make an appointment , but they will except walk-ins if their not busy. You can park on the street, or park in a lot next to the car wash for free after 12:30p.Thats a big plus especially for Westfield where they nickel and dime you on the parking. I will definitely be returning. read more

I have had my hair done in the past by many different stylist. Not one was able to fully give me what I wanted until I came to Elegant Image and met with Erica. She did my hair for the first time yesterday and I have to say I AM SO HAPPY with her work. Erica did exactly what I wanted! She was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy my friend was right. I will definitely be using her in the future for all my hair appointments. read more

My coworker and friend got amazing extensions here so I made an appointment at Elegant Image on her recommendation. By far the best extensions I've ever had! I waited five weeks after getting tape in extensions installed to see how they lasted; not one fell out (and I'm abusive with my hair, I work out and sweat; I wash it more often than recommended; blow dry and straighten it, breaking all the rules.) I've gotten extensions done at two other places (one place specializes in extensions in NYC) and the quality of the hair I got at Elegant Image far surpasses the two other salons. This is the first install I have had where the extensions have not fallen out. The price point is extremely reasonable. The staff is friendly as well. Thank you Claudia for my awesome extensions!! read more

I had a groupon voucher for hair cut . Erica did my haircut, she did a great job ! U guys have a happy customer. Will surely go back for more services. read more

Great service from the fabolous hair stylist miss mandeee. She did an awesome job once again . Followed her from her last job because she is the best lol and I wouldnt want anybody else touching my hair . The salon is pretty comfortable and quite. The other girls that work there seem super nice ! Tip: what you pay is good for the outstanding service she provides to leave my hair amazing and myself happy as herself of course . You dont leave her sight until she is satisfied with her creation lol!! read more

If you need a blowout this is the place to go! Everyone here is so friendly and Cathy did an incredible job on my hair. So kind and talented! Everyone is raving about my hair all thanks to her. One of the best blowouts I have gotten in a long time! When you come to the salon, I highly recommend you request her for an amazing experience :) read more

Was looking for a new salon after a hair fiasco 2 weeks before my wedding! Purchased the groupon for a cut, color and blow out. The location? EW. Interior? Small and dismal. Quaint would be a stretch. The color? LOVED. The cut? I showed her a picture and my hair? Looks nothing like said photo. SHE CHOPPED MY HAIR! I asked for an angled cut keeping the length in the front and there was no length left--literally cut 4 1/2 inches. It may not be a lot for some but my hair is fine and grows super slow and I am NOT happy. Also added a "U" shaped style to the back to show the darker color I already had underneath? Just weird. I guess you get what you pay for. And what blowout? I was flat ironed! Straighten thin hair? No no...I need volume from a salon...NEXT! The only plus was that the staff was very nice and seemed welcoming but everything else just wasn't pulling in their favor. Sorry. read more

I got partial highlights and a haircut. Crystal worked on my color and hair cut for a very long time. She and the rest of the staff were lovely, friendly and charming. I can't stress how nice and hardworking these girls are, and they are young and cute. Crystal was really responsive and gave me a lot of attention. The blowout she gave me made the awesome haircut she gave me look horrible and I went home and was miserable until I washed my hair. Then I was totally impressed with how it looked and I am seriously thinking of going back to her. I will say that this place looks really dingy- I am not a snob, but I am used to salons being really nicely decorated and this was downscale. All I can say is that this spot is a diamond in the rough and their prices are reasonable. If you live in the area and are not a snob you may want to check this place out because they do a good job. read more

Elegant Image provides great service and they are so nice! My stylist Erica is incredible- I've changed up my color multiple times and she is a true pro in ensuring I get the perfect look. Her ability to help her clients is the best - she remains patient with my indecisiveness :) and is amazing at what she does. I have recommended her to friends and family members who have also had wonderful experiences with Erica and the Elegant Image team. read more

Went to this salon ....just by passing through the area ..called made appt with Manny ..since I read her reviews was excited to try her ..she didn't let me down She was wonderful caring and really listened to all my requests ..and not one bit of attitude ...and I'm a bit critic and hair Nut..I will def go back and was so happy to find someone who listens and cares Thanks Manny !! read more

I live in Missouri and it's one of the few places i have been that knows how to cut my hair. Claudia's the best! Amanda is one of the few stylist that knows how to take command of my daughter's massive amount of hair and makes it smooth and beautiful! And I have no words for the magical enchantments she bestows on my wife's hair. read more

I usually spend top dollar on my hair, but with a coupon for a free haircut with my Hometown Quarterly card, I couldn't resist. I was very impressed. Amanda was so sweet and did an awesome job on my hair. I have long hair and she gave me the "Kim Kardashian look". I left there feeling like they really cared about me as a customer and loving my hair. It just goes to show that a fancy place and high prices, doesn't always mean a great experience. It's all about who does your hair. The people there are skilled and very friendly. I highly recommend this place. read more

I came here because I'd bought a Groupon for cut and color---so this was my first time here...Amanda was my stylist and I thought that she was great. I went in with dull looking hair and left with great color and super shiny hair. The salon itself is relatively "no-frills" but for the quality of the service, I don't care what the salon looks like. I'll definitely be going back. read more

The salon was so pretty and very clean. Mandee gave my daughter an amazing haircut and blowout. She spent a lot of time and took great care. We will be back. read more

I'm new to the area and went based on Yelp reviews and purchased the $15 for $25 deal. Phyllis did an amazing job and gave great styling tips -- everyone was very welcoming. The salon is beautiful and very clean, I'll definitely go back. read more

If you have curly hair, you know that finding that 'special someone' to treat your temperamental 'do with love is a rare and treasured find. I am pleased with how great of a job Crystal has done with evening out the havoc that has been wreaked on my thick, curly hair after a well meaning stylist took to it with an enthusiastic pair of scissors. I do not color my hair, and so it's just wash, cut, style. In regard to the interior: let's just be real here, it doesn't matter how amazing a place looks if they mess up your hair, so I am glad that this little, unassuming storefront is a keeper. I will continue to come back to Crystal for a solid curly hair cut that doesn't cost the price of my arm and left kidney. Also, she's pleasant and funny and patiently answers my endless questions about hair products. The whole staff is friendly and nice. read more

I have been getting color and cuts done by Amanda (Mandee) Crespo for years. She is incredibly knowledgeable and talented. All of the girls at Elegant Image are. I have even hired them for hair and makeup for my wedding day. Their prices are reasonable and their quality of service and professionalism is hard to come by. Wonderful atmosphere. read more

I've been going to Elegant Image Salon for about the past 9 months. Being a man, it can sometimes be awkward to walk into a salon in Westfield because the customers and stylists can be snooty. This is not the case at all at Elegant Image. Claudia, the owner is very down to earth as is the rest of her staff. She always gives me a great cut (and color too, I admit it). The prices are very reasonable for Westfield too. read more

I love this place. Everyone is very friendly and does great work. Hillary is the best shampoo girl I ever had but I think she's so good that she is a hairdresser now. So far I've been lucky to still have her shampoo me but I'm sure as she gets more clients that won't be the case. I'll definitely miss her terribly! No one gives a scalp massage like her. Claudia is my hairdresser and she does her best to give me exactly what I ask for-the girls are young enough to know all the latest trends and styles but experienced enough to get them right. read more

I love my hair so much thanks Amanda! She did a wonderful job and the price was very reasonable!

I am extremely disappointed with this salon. I asked for a trim and to thin my hair,a simple request. Yet, more than double what I asked for was cut off, it is shorter in the back than in the front which I didn't want and my hair was barely thinned making the short cut I was given look terrible with my very thick hair. I have been visiting this salon for a few years and have never received a cut like this. Salon quality and customer care has greatly decreased. read more

If your looking for a friendly very reasonable hair salon this is the place!! Everyone is friendly, great music as your hair gets done;) and the best part of this salon is the VERY TALENTED Crystal! She really is amazing , she takes time with you and does a wonderful job. I had a coloring and trim an blow dry. After 30 years trying to find the *right* hair stylist I finally found her!! If you want quality ask for Crystal! read more

I bought a Groupon for Elegant Image Salon years ago, made an appointment with Amanda, and have been coming back ever since. So happy that I found this place. Can't tell how many times I would get a blowout and hate it and then go home and re wash my hair !! Never again now that I found mandee. She is so amazing can't wait to go back !!! read more

Such a wonderful salon if you're looking for great hair and at great prices. Crystal is a talented employee, so lovely and wonderful to talk to. All the women in the salon are so welcoming and pleasant to be around. They also offer you a beverage of your choice! Needless to say I left feeling pampered and loving my hair. Keep up the great work! read more

This was my second visit, and beside the receptionist, Claudia and Hillary were very unprofessional. I paid $80 for color without their "blow-out". After a sloppy wash, my hair was dripping wet... I had to ask for a towel.... What's up with that? When I noticed the dye on my face, they handed a towel. Was I suppose to walk out of the salon with hair dye on my face? For that price I expect a welcoming environment and the staff to be more professional. I was disappointed and will not be coming back here again. read more

Daughter went there on Friday for an ombré hair color. We showed Crystal a picture of the desired hairstyle and she said no problem. It was a problem, a big problem. My daughter has brown hair, she specifically stated no blonde and no orange color effects. She wanted a brown ombré. We were there for 4.5 hours. As soon as she saw her hair color dried she let Crystal know immediately this wasn't what she asked for, not even remotely. They then applied more things to her hair and it still wasn't right. At this pint we were so done and exhausted we just wanted out of the salon. Upon paying a bill of over $200, the entire staff was standing at the register waiting for us to pay!! What a forced uncomfortable situation. My daughters head was so sore from the ripping of her hair at the sink, this was brutal. I wouldn't have paid for this service if I didn't feel so pressured. If it had turned out nicely I certainly would have had no problem. I called the next morning to report our dissatisfaction. Of course their position was no refunds. I asked my message to be passed to the owner who was busy with clients and was told she would call me back when she was finished for the day. Well, no phone call. This salon is not familiar with hair color. This shouldn't have happened. We went to another salon saturday morning and had the color fixed for $65. It came out beautifully. BEWARE of this salon, they aren't pros and have bad business practices. I might mention they were given the opportunity to fix her hair once that day, they still couldn't make it happen. read more

Love this place! Used one of the deals from yelp so this place is also affordable but they are amazing at what they do! Also everyone is very very nice here! Def going back! read more

Excellent! I got my hair cut here today and am definitely going back. I was very anxious because the same woman had been cutting my hair since I was 5, but I don't live near that salon anymore. I also wanted to try a new style and was nervous I wouldn't like it. I ended up donating my hair and getting it cut even shorter than I wanted to, and Crystal did an amazing job! Definitely 2 thumbs up!! read more

Mandee has been doing my hair for a few years now but she recently joined the staff at Elegant Image. What a fantastic match! Not only is the staff super friendly and accommodating (coffee, wine AND they were so nice and helpful when I had to bring my baby with me). I have literally spent 7 hour days there for total hair transformation and I have seen so many of their clients leave with beautiful cuts, color and smiles on their faces. They also recently added affordable nail services, so I look forward to trying them on my next visit, too. The only negative is parking on weekdays, but that's downtown Westfield's fault, not the salons :) read more
