But as I said, I specifically came here to see the pandas, because I'd never seen one in real life. It was only after I got back home that I remembered that this was the zoo where the lady with mental issues climbed into the polar bear exhibit to swim with them. Yikes! It's a great zoo. The grounds were immaculate with wide, winding pathways. There was plenty of room indoors and out, both for the humans and non-humans. I enjoyed watching the anteater waddle around; an animal I have seen before, but my hometown zoo doesn't have one. I thought the aviary part where you walk through with the ground dwelling birds was pretty neat. My zoo has something like that, but the birds are all tree dwellers, save a few ducks. We saw the bald eagle and gave him/her a little salute, and watched as the kudu chased the ostriches. Of course, the pandas were my favorite part. The babies and mom were off exhibit the day we went, but we got to see dad rolling around the outdoor exhibit before taking a nap. The gift shop was great. It had a huge variety of souvenirs to buy, and I had a difficult time making up my mind what to get. In that timeframe I was not even able to make it to the aquarium. I felt like I could get so close to so many animals - there was more than enough opportunities to get photos of animals at different angles and environments. They've put a lot interesting design into the areas and buildings, giving a lot of character to the whole experience. I found it a bit hard to navigate the zoo and got turned around several times, which likely contributed to my long visit . Restrooms were also not as easily accessible , one being down a flight of stairs. Overall - well worth the money.

From the moment we walked in there was massive gorillas, baboons, elephants....you name it! Hardly any were in cages or enclosures and the animals all looked happy being outside in the open. The variety of animals was quite astounding and even after spending 6 hrs there i don't think we quite seen everything. It was 20 Euro's for Zoo and Aquarium passes which is very reasonable and well worth it! :)

I love them!…read more So given the name of this place, its target audience is children and not adults like myself, but I can't help but be drawn to a petting zoo of sorts in the middle of a park. Walk through the gates and you can see a variety of animals. There are chickens everywhere, and other kinds of birds like ducks and geese. There is a barn full of rabbits and guinea pigs with super silly names bestowed upon them by the children who feed and take care of them. There is a pig old sow, who is scary looking... don't mess with her! And there are sheep, and goats, and DONKEYS! Oh man, I love the donkeys! You can pet the animals if they are near or watch them from afar. I also love strolling by the outside and seeing them making their loops around the yard. If you have little ones, definitely take them here for a comfortable and easy-going (plus safe) introduction to/interaction with farm animals. Best of all? It's free!

Located right in the heart of Berlin, Tiergarten is almost impossible to miss, as all roads lead to it or through it. Once inside this park, you'll you'll find a very large amount of all kinds of trees, plants, grass, and shrubbery. The park is truly a testament to a vast natural space in the center of a city. You will see people riding their bikes, running, walking, and just kicking back on the grass throughout the park. As urban as most of Berlin tends to be, this park is truly a space for a person to workout in nature or just commune with all that is natural. The one thing I will say, that I find very curious about this park, is that there are very few restrooms. You really have to walk a distance to one if you need to use the facilities. From this, I have seen a number of people, particularly men, just using the side of a tree to relieve themselves. I imagine, as vast as this park is, where there are numerous private places, this is not that uncommon of an occurrence. This is not a criticism, this is just something for your to keep in mind if you come to this park. Be aware, you should know where one of the few restrooms are located before you enter the park, just in case you realize you need to go. Overall, this a great park. A fun place to just walk and enjoy nature and some peace in Berlin.

Instead it's just a giant swamp filled with bicyclists, nowhere to sit, nothing to see. Very few benches. Sprinklers that spray pathways. They have bathrooms, drinks, and sunscreen at their HQ. I would highly recommend! 3hours went by so quickly. Maggi also gave us enough time for bathroom breaks, walking around, and taking pictures.

It got other area you can literally walk under the fishes. The Sea Life itself wasn't that big though. I went to Aquadom also, it's a big lift inside giant fish tank, surrounded by different fishes, pretty amazing place, feel like the fish are actually flying instead of swimming. I wonder, what the fish are thinking. The whole lift experience is not really long though. The souvenir shop is pretty cool, don't miss it. Well, the ticket is quite expensive though. That's the low point of this, I got my tickets on Groupon, it was bit cheaper. My suggestion try to get the ticket online before you go, usually there are some promotions somewhere.
