This is an addition to the review and a response back to Janet's response to me. I am very well aware of inflation. I did not know her prices changed. I was simply asking her how much she charged but I was 100% willing to pay. I'm going to post pictures of our text messages. I did not ask for a refund until weeks after our back-and-forth. She kept giving me different cream recommendations after I had gone to a medical Dermatologist who had put me on antibiotics due to infection. Not once did she say I'm sorry or apologize or take accountability for the fact that I literally have scars on my face. Her mentioning my disappointment with other places is false- I went to one other person over a year and a half ago for a diff area and I just didn't like her technique and never went back. But I was never scarred and my skin was never destroyed. I came BACK TO YOU because I trusted you. Sometimes in the business world we make mistakes or things can go wrong and that's fine as long as you own up to mistakes and have a little bit of empathy and sympathy. I was very kind with her the days before and kept her updated with everything so this just shows you her character. This is wild. read more

Janet has truly changed my life. Her skill as an electrologist is exceptional, and the results she's given me have quite literally made my dreams come true. Getting rid of uncomfortable, unsightly hair has been such a gift, both physically and emotionally. Beyond her technical expertise, Janet is always punctual, incredibly accommodating with scheduling, and consistently professional. What really sets her apart, though, is how warm, kind, and genuinely caring she is. She creates a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and supported every step of the way. I am deeply grateful for her work and cannot recommend her highly enough. read more

I've tried everything: laser, tweezing, shaving. I've been embarrassed and extremely self conscious of my facial hair all my adult life. I put off electrolysis for year because I didn't want the hassle of going regularly to deal with the hair. Janet has solved this for me! Not only is she really good and efficient at getting the hairs, she's also really warm and kind. She's open-minded and cultured and lovely to chat with. She was honest about how many sessions I would need and I've seen an enormous improvement... most of my facial hair is gone! It's not fun to get electrolysis, but Janet makes it easy and as pleasant as possible. She's changed my life for the better. Thank you so much, Janet! read more

Electrolysis by Janet - First session of mustache electrolysis. - Hair Removal Near Me - Glendale, California

I have seen Janet for years. I have had dozens of hours treatment with her. I have seen probably 10 other electrologists and she is the best I have been too. Her space is private and comfortable and she is really nice. I left her for awhile because there are cheaper alternatives out but I had to come back! There was no comparison. She is faster, misses less hairs and has a higher kill rate then anyone I have been with. She is not afraid to turn up the current high if you can take it. I want those hairs gone! She is also not afraid to work on any area of the body of any gender. When it comes to something like Electrolysis it is a severe waste of time and money to not go to the best you can find. Go to Janet! read more

Janet is amazing! I've been going to her for a few years now. I had a different electrologist before her that I did like but she was nowhere near as knowledgeable and efficient as Janet. Janet is extremely polite, respectful and professional. I have a crazy work schedule as well and somehow Janet is always able to squeeze me in when I finally have time to go see her, which is truly appreciated! She truly cares about her clients and her work. So glad I booked with her when I did, and never plan to change to another electrologist again. Thank you Janet for everything! read more

I've been getting electrolysis hair removal from Janet for some time (due to my bad genes), and I can say that I'm very happy with her care. Electrolysis is no fun, but Janet has always made sure to make me as comfortable as possible during the process. Not only that but she also gives recommendations for aftercare as well as long term skin recovery. She also has been very accommodating when it comes to scheduling, even at the last minute sometimes. She has also helped out with insurance paperwork, which I appreciate a lot. The results were clear early on, and now that I'm nearing the end, I am very happy with how it's turning out read more

Janet is the best. She's incredibly sweet and professional al and her rates are totally fair. She did upper lip with numbing cream and yes it hurts a bit but it's totally worth it and why didn't I do this years ago!?!? Clean private room. Easy to schedule. So glad I found her. read more

Overpriced and skin breakout. I went to her 2x and charged me $150 for hour when only 30 mins needed for my face. When I wanted to get price reduced she was yelling saying no give me my money aggressively. After, My face skin had breakouts and skin peeling. I had to apply Vaseline for 2 weeks to heal my skin. I think she does transgender hair and uses same for females too much heat. However one thing the hair reduction was good. This gave me motivation to try her again n let her know to reduce less heat but she didn't answer my calls or messages. Very unprofessional. read more

Let's face it, the very nature of how it works makes electrolysis a potentially painful procedure. Thankfully for people with a low pain threshold like me, there's Janet. On my first visit, she carefully explained how to prep oneself prior to the session to mitigate any discomfort. Once she begins, her soft, gentle demeanor makes even the more challenging areas tolerable, and if ever the discomfort is too much, she gracefully moves to a different spot and keeps on her steady focus. After only the first handful of visits, there are major, noticeable differences in my facial appearance IRL and especially noticeable in photos - she's even been able to clear areas other folks said couldn't be done! I'm thankful to have found Janet and so very happy with how she's enhanced my look - if you're looking to have electrolysis done, she's the BEST!!! read more

I was hesitant to even research electrolysis in the first place, but I am so glad I reached out to Janet! After moving towards a mask-optional LA, I realized that I needed to do something more permanent about my embarrassing chin hairs and I reached out to schedule a consultation. To my surprised, Janet was able to do the first treatment right away, sending me down a relatively easy path towards hairlessness. She is thorough, quick, and had a good read on my pain tolerance - a few times in my first few sessions she offered to stop and give me a moment to rest, and recommended numbing cream to great effect for more sensitive spots. She is kind and as gentle as possible during the process, which I appreciate, and she is always quick to respond when I request an appointment. I am so grateful I found Janet and for her excellent work! read more

I saw Janet from December 2022 through March of 2023. I had been using another studio before I was able to get service through the VA with Janet. I was very happy that Janet had contracted with the VA to provide services for Transgender Veterans needing hair removal. Unfortunately her there were issues with her technique and/or equipment. I had had work done by other electrologists and been able to sit for several hours without too much pain. with Janet it was very painful even with high percentage lidocaine creams and Advil. I could not tolerate the pain an had to take breaks during 2 hours sessions. I also noticed that the healing process took well over a week and the areas remained sore and scabbed longer than with other providers. I brought this to Janet's attention and even asked if she could check her equipment and/or reduce the intensity. Nothing changed. I stopped using her service due to the excessive pain and long healing times. what i didn't know was that scaring in the form of pitting and damage resulting in wrinkles of the upper lip could present weeks and even months after treatment when such treatment has not been done properly. I am now left with pitting in the areas that Janet worked on and heavy wrinkles to my upper lip where she did work. I will need toi find a way to reverse these damages. I am aware of another transgender veteran who said that she had had burns from Janet and also stopped using her. I feel disappointed, depressed and responsible since it was I who recruited Janet to contract with the VA and I who informed the other veteran. I think Janet means well and is a very sweet lady. but I also think there is something very wrong with her technique or equipment. Janet was amazing! I was referred to Janet by a close friend who has used Janet's service for electrolysis multiple times! After many treatments of laser for my hair, I had given up and decided to take the referral and give Janet a call! She answered my call, was very kind and seemed passionate about how her services could help me! Scheduling my first appointment was a breeze as my schedule is extremely difficult to accommodate to, but Janet was happy to schedule a time that would work for me! She was very thorough, and took her time explaining the process and what I should expect. My first treatment went amazing, and much better than expected as I've heard it can be painful, but it wasn't! I'm EXTREMELY happy with the results and couldn't recommend Janet enough! Forget laser, give Janet a call and ditch the hair for good! Thank you Janet!!! read more

Ms. Janet is definitely a breath of fresh air not just because of her skills, but because she makes you feel like family. The first time I went to Janet I literally felt like I have been going to her for years she made me feel very welcomed! I have been to other electrolysis places and I was wondering why they were not working, from the first time I went to Janet immediately I saw the difference. After three visits I am done with one area of my face, compare that to 6 years of going to other places I will not mention! Janet's bed side manner made me feel very comfortable and trusting of her.
