For those with an electric vehicle or hybrid, this makes visiting Hood River even more attractive. Driving through the Columbia Gorge the winds are often quite gusty which really drains the charge. Or better said, it takes far more energy. Knowing there are several EVCS available reduces the stress! The 5 free stations are typically in use so make sure you know where the others are in case it's not your lucky day! Often we use the paid EVCS on Columbia Street in the far end of the parking lot where the Farmers Market is located. There is a time limit, as there should be, so make sure you don't leave your car there all day. If you do, expect a ticket or at the least, someone wink disconnect the hose so that they can rightfully charge their vehicle. Another good spot is the Walmart parking lot, a landmark that most are familiar with and also right off the first Hood River exit if you are heading East. Some of the vineyards, life my favorite Stave & Stone, have installed EVCS. They have a regular and a Telsa Supercharger in their lot for guests.

Their beer flights come with 6 pours each and it's served in a tall sail (or sharkfin?) shaped tower, each choice is labeled so you know what you're drinking. Their burger with bacon tomato jam was a 10/10! So much flavor and the bun was fresh and lightly buttered and toasted (this really takes it up a notch!). The meat was very tender and lots of flavor (tasted high quality). It's served with a heaping order of fries (or you can upcharge it for $2 and do salad, soup or sweet potato fries). Their chicken wings were tender and came off the bones easily while still having crispy edges. Perfection. After a swim in the river across the street, this place is a chill spot for good food, beer and service. They have indoor seating with views and outdoor seating as well. Inside was nice and cool on a hot day. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

We decided to sit inside, please be aware that it might be a bit cold depending where the air vent is located in conjunction to where you're sitting. The service was okay. Giving this a 3 mostly based on food (which is closer to a 5) and how cute the restaurant is, but…read moreconsidered giving it a 2 for the experience we had. We were a group of 5 trying to get Sat on a Saturday night. They gave us an estimated wait time of an hour but encouraged us to try their takeout option because it would be "faster" and we could take it to eat by the water. This sounded like a great idea so we went around back and found a food truck and kiosk. The food truck did slices or 15inch pizzas so we decided to try the kiosk (they had 11in pizzas). This was probably the wrong decision. They had a waitress who also had an entire section running the kiosk. She was intermittently available and pretty unhelpful. They tack on a 15% required gratuity which feels like there isn't incentive for her to handle the orders well. We each did our own orders and they don't text you when your order is ready (we all got our texts 20 minutes after we picked up our food) so we just stood in the parking lot waiting for our food. When it was finally up, she didn't yell the names very loudly so we had to pay close attention to who had ordered before us. Once we got our food (after 40-45 minutes) I then waited another 10 minutes for the lemonade I ordered. A man said he was going to look for it and never came back so the waitress eventually went and got it herself after she took care of a couple of her tables and began bussing another. The food quality was excellent. We got the mozzarella sticks which were huge, well seasoned and had the best cheese pull. The fries with truffle were incredible and fresh. They were very flavorful and garlicky. The aioli it came with added to it perfectly. Finally, we got 3 different pizzas. They were baked well and had plenty of toppings. I would recommend trying their food but do yourself a favor and get a reservation.
