I've had a 90 min corrective massage by Adam Miller weekly for one month now, and have seen great improvement in my problem areas. I'm a three time cancer survivor with lots of scar tissue, nerve trauma and lymphnode issues. Adam took lots of time to learn my history, concerns, and plan an approach during our first visit (not included in table time), which included addressing the root of each issue and not just symptoms. He cares very much about doing his best for everyone who walks through that front door, and it shows. There's never a dull moment in our conversation either, which helps take my mind off the pain that comes with corrective massage for me. Though he's also very careful not to apply more pressure than necessary / I can handle. The room and heated table are comfortable, and Covid safety protocols are closely followed - much appreciated with me being immunocompromised. You also get your choice of music. She's not your ordinary massage therapist, and there's nothing ordinary about the breadth and depth of her clinical knowledge. In my case she used a combination of neurokinesis and active release therapy to "reprogram" my neck, shoulder, arm and leg to reduce dramatically the chronic nerve pain that typically plagues my right arm, and to eliminate the sometimes blindingly painful sciatica in my right leg. Imagine finding someone who thinks like an neuroanatomist (because she is) and works on the body like a traditional osteopath (before osteopathy became indistinguishable from allopathy) and you have Megan. Her background is impressive (including a stint with the sports medicine program for the Steelers) and her understanding of the human body precise and deeply intuitive. And she didn't just work with me during the session. Megan left me with a set of recommendations so that I could self-correct my "bad driving" after I left the office. I started to research how to reduce swelling and pain prior to surgery and accupunture was at the forefront. A good friend of mine told me of his experience with Awaken and Kyle. I trust my friend and made the appointment with Kyle. Kyle met with me, all ears and compassion, listening to my concerns. Kyle confidently let me know I will be able to go through surgery without Narcotics and minimal swelling. Met with Kyle for 4 treatments prior to surgery. Kyle and staff gave 100% customer care and was 100% customer focused. Day before surgery Kyle met with me for Battlefield accupunture (BFA) to reduce pain, which it did!. Because of Kyle and accupunture I was able to go through my surgery without taken any narcotics nor did I bruise and swell as bad as one would.
