I wanted to treat myself to a massage, but left realizing that a massage shouldn't only be a treat. Frank was great at helping me understand the reasons why I've been in a lot of pain. (Posture is a big factor, but it goes much further than that.) Now that I am conscious of these things - everything from where I put pressure on my feet to the constant tension in my hands - I can use the advice he gave me to make meaningful changes in my daily life. It's easy to see that Frank truly cares about his clients' well-being, both physical and emotional. This is a very special quality that made for a very unique and helpful appointment! read more

Frank provides a thorough initial assessment that comes with insight on posture and things that could be a factor in your physical. I waited some time to provide a review because I was anticipating the usual soreness that accompanies a massage. The discomfort did not come. Frank was knowledgeable and took his time identifying areas that needed trigger point release. I appreciate his willingness to look at the whole person and not just physical presentation. I left feeling relaxed and less tension in my back and shoulders than I have had in a long time. read more

After a stressful week, I decided that I needed to do something for my mind, body and soul immediately. I found life4orce on yelp and decided to give it a try. It was much more than a massage. Frank helped me realize how "on" I always was and helped me find a bit of relax that was much needed. He gave me suggestions on finding a bit of that in everyday life as well. Thank you again! read more

Great massage. I came because of chronic fatigue and stiffness. The owner Frank and I spent a lot of time talking about my issues and analyzing my posture and balance beforehand. I found out more about my back and body than I have in my entire life. I learned a lot about how my body is completely out of balance. I got the myofascial release massage to help with my fatigue and to help increase blood flow. I also got the foot reflexology and ion foot detox. The foot massage and foot detox was by far my favorite because I was able to relax more. Frank spent a lot of time adjusting my body that we went over our 2 hours. I thought I would have to pay more but he didn't ask for anything more. He even gave me free incense and gemstones at the end which was very nice. Frank is very spiritual and tries to not just balance your body but make you feel good about yourself as well. read more

I was in excruciating pain when I reached out to Frank at Life4orce. I had just started back with my chiropractor but really needed my muscles stretched. Frank took out time to point out issues around my posture. He explained how it was contributing to the pain I was experiencing and suggested ways of improving it. I did a 90 minute massage with Frank and 3 weeks later my back is still doing well. I've also been practicing his suggestions daily. I am incorporating his therapeutic services into to monthly self care routine and it's worth it. I highly recommend you use Life4orce and your body will thank you. read more

I booked a massage THINKING it would be like any other massage (where I go once, get relaxed, pay, and then leave). I was SO wrong. Frank went so far above and beyond just the 90 minute massage. He sat with me for 30 mins to really get to know me and what I was dealing with, and the areas that I believe need healing in my body prior to even starting. He showed me exercises to help my plantar fasciitis and calf pain, & to improve my posture so I feel daily relief. He also reminded me how important it is to "pour into my own cup" before I pour into others, and encouraged a few small additions to my day (like ~10-20 mins of ME time). Frank doesn't just care about the physical health of his clients and he is not just a physical healer... don't get me wrong, the massage was AMAZING!!! I also believe he is a heart, mind, & spiritual healer as well. He gave me affirmations to tell myself, ways to practice breathing, and it is clear he truly believes in the mind-body-spirit connection. This is not just a job to him, it is a calling. This morning I feel like I am still in such a calm and relaxed state, way more than I was before my massage last night and I feel like Frank had something to do with that read more

I can't thank Frank enough for his work. He really took the time to understand what my body needed and adjusted my 90 min massage so that I got the most out of it. I deal with stress and anxiety, and my body suffers for it. We were able to work out a solid plan to address that stress outside of the massage table. Frank gave me breathing techniques and posture recommendations to relieve some of the tension in my body, The environment was serene and I was able to focus and stay in the moment. He laid out water and chocolates for me. I was so at ease. I already booked my next appointment! read more

Frank, is very professional and gives top notice care. He takes the time to get to know each of his patients in order to heal the body and mind. It was one of the best massages and it helped with my pain after just one session. I'm looking forward to my second session to see if there is even more important. Please support small business by going to Frank! read more

For first time clients Frank begins with a posture analysis and tips on how to improve one's posture. F Ranks knowledge was very apparent s he explained how poor posture was affecting my body and responsible for my complaints. As a yoga instructor and life long advocate of improving and maintaining my personal health I was shocked by how poor the alignment of my body was. I was more shocked to learn how poor posture is the likely culprit for much of my muscle and tissue discomfort. Always a bit skeptical of cure alls I am curious and excited to discover if seeing Frank on regular basis will correct these imbalances. Of course he can only do so much as we have to be the harbingers of that change. read more

I highly recommend Frank as a masseuse. I've had many massages over the years and most are ok, but don't merit a second visit. I'll definitely be scheduling with Frank again! He uses great pressure along with other techniques like myofascial release and stretching. He did a postural analysis using a program at the beginning, and was able to point out and then work on my areas of concern. He offered simple ways for me to improve my posture and thus my pain level. He was very thorough, communicative, and professional. Looking forward to my next appointment! read more

Thank you! Frank accommodated my husband in the last moment! My husband came home shock telling me he never ever had such wonderful massage! Thank you again read more

At the age of 47, I have started making some changes in my life. I realized that I don't concentrate as much as I should on me. One of my changes was to get a massage. I know, right? You are thinking, "47 and this guy never had a massage? What is he? A Hermit? I saw the Life4orce Touch ad on a public website where the owner is a member and we started talking. He explained the features of massage, its effects, and what benefits I could expect. So I made an appointment. I went to the studio, which was very clean and comfortable - A totally relaxed atmosphere. Frank was very aware of my history and completed what I feel, a complete evaluation to determine how he could best help through massage technique. As for the massage, it has been 1.5 weeks and I still feel like a new man. I felt like I had slept a full night in the time I received the massage - it was fantastic! MY RECOMMENDATION: do it! You will not regret it I plan on going back at least once a month. read more

Just Amazing. I have searched for a massage therapist for a long time that has the ability that Frank does. I have suffered for years with neck and back pain that he was able to relieve for the first time. Extremely professional, courteous, and well worth the cost. Weather you are looking to pamper yourself, or to fix some deep tissue problems, this is where you need to go. read more

This man was so unprofessional! He literally kept insulting me because he was not clearly giving instructions on my posture and how I was supposed to maneuver my body. He told me "it's like putting toothpaste on a toothbrush, I guess we all can't do it the first time." He kept laughing at me, and then he said, "I guess we all can't be fast." To top it off, he told me to pretend we were on a beach somewhere to try and relax then asked me if I knew where Africa was. That was the final straw. I left! Then when I told him I was leaving he said "is it something I said?" Are you kidding me? This was the most unprofessional service I've ever received! I've never walked out on anyone but this one takes the cake. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

Frank is an amazing masseur. I have never felt so good after an massage. He asked questions and really worked those areas. He worked my neck and back so well I felt an inch taller. I felt so wonderful after the massage I called and arranged another appointment 2 weeks later. Thank you frank read more

Today was my first initial visit with Frank. It was very educational for myself and learning how my body reacts to different situations. Frank is truly an empath. He understood my Emotions and the emotions my body was representing without being told. I am a very get going and don't stop person. I'm also a nurse, so my thoughts are to be a caretaker of everyone. Several times , I was reminded that someone was taking care of me. It was great! My body felt relaxed and revived. There were no hang ups involving body or communication. Frank was totally professional. I do agree it is nice to see the professional relax at times, but Frank stayed in the roll well. I will definitely be back, and that says a lot; beings I live close to 50 miles away. Thank you Frank! read more

My first experience with Frank was nothing less than spectacular! From the moment I walked into his home, he was welcoming, attentive, pleasant, calm, professional and courteous! Everything from the temperature, lighting and music levels to the comfort of his professional massage table was based on my needs and preferences. Frank's ability to "read your body" allowed him to customize my session perfectly! He communicated when appropriate and responded to me instantly. I left with the feeling of euphoria and a pleasant calmness throughout my entire body & mind. Frank is a true artist at his craft! Post Script: While my first experience was great, Frank was rather [pleasantly] persistent in contacting me after my appointment to reschedule. Personally, I prefer to reach out based on my schedule and do not feel comfortable with someone "pushing" me to reschedule via 2 phone calls and 5 emails. read more

This was, by far, the best massage I have ever had! You have never had a massage like the one Frank gives, and believe me he massages from head to toe! I had had a very hectic day, and yet I left Frank's studio feeling refreshed, muscles relaxed and a wonderful herbal scent from the lotions that Frank uses. You cannot go wrong! Do it! Today!!! read more

I was in a lot of pain in my neck, back and hips, so I searched on Yelp for someone close to the hotel I am staying in. He was very accommodating with my work schedule and spent time getting to understand my needs a good 20 minutes which were not taken out of my 90 minute massage. It was my first time going to a male therapist in his home but everything was comforting and I felt safe and secure in his care of my physical and emotional needs. The mix of Eastern and Western forms of therapy helped me relax and I liked his way of trying to incorporate my thoughts into relaxing as much as my muscles needed it as well. He also showed me ways to stretch so that when I'm alone I can increase my body health on a daily basis which I definitely need to do. I will definitely book another appointment the next time I travel to Philadelphia for work. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with him. read more

Wow, I wish I could give extra stars. This was one of the best massages I have ever received. I booked for a Swedish but after getting there and discussing my goals and having him analyze my posture he suggested a combo of several techniques. It was more of a corrective massage, focused on specific areas where he could feel I needed attention. I actually felt several of the corrections happen in my bone structure while he was doing it which was awesome to see what he was talking about. At the same time it was still very relaxing and felt great but I also felt a big difference at the end. I joked that I felt taller but here I am a few days later and I honestly think I'm walking a little bit taller lol. It was clear that he is very well traveled and trained. It sounded from his experience that he traveled to study massage in several different states and countries to combine both Eastern and Western techniques. I highly recommend and will definitely be back myself. read more

I can not recommend Frank highly enough. I have seen him numerous times while working on a long-term project in the area, and I count myself fortunate to have found him. I always tell a massage therapist not to be afraid to use a very firm touch, and I must say Frank always intuited the right pressure, the right touch, that was needed in the moment. Since I saw him regularly, our work became very much an ongoing process, rather than "I can fix that tension RIGHT NOW!" (Not that he would ever take an approach as aggressive as that on someone who was there for just one appointment.) Frank is very warm, very accepting, very open, whether my response in the moment was to be chatty or to fall asleep. He knew and understood my body image/body shame issues, and I had no trouble believing he understands and cares deeply. I always went for 90-minute appointments, and I must say the extra time is completely worth the difference in price. read more

I've been seeing Frank for some time now, he has never failed to meet the needs of my unique situations which can vary from time to time due to a chronic condition. He is sensitive, knowledgeable, thoughtful and is asset to his craft. His studio is clean, neat tranquil and calming; an oasis on the avenue. Frank recognizes the connection between emotional/psychological well-being to physical well-being; making your session not just a physical massage but also a spiritual renewal if you're so inclined. I'm a healthcare professional myself, I've been in my profession for over 25 years and I highly recommend this gentleman's professional services. Hats off to Life4orce Touch! read more

Frank made me feel comfortable right away. He accommodated my schedule and spent a good deal of extra time figuring out how to help me. I have long standing neck and upper back pain and unexpectedly after just one visit - I feel great. I didn't even have the usual post massage soreness that can happen with deeper work. My neck feels more flexible but the lack of pain is so worth the time it takes to take care of your health. I will be going back! read more

Frank is an extremely knowledgeable massage therapist. He is thorough and thoughtful and provided a lot of information on the underlying causes of body pain. The massage was relaxing and restorative. A positive and relaxing experience. Frank is very professional. His approach on my initial massage is so much better than any other place that I have been. Not just the quick "ok, what do you need". He cave me a thorough evaluation to customize the appropriate massage for me. Additionally he offered breathing techniques for further relaxation. Frank's studio offers a relaxing atmosphere. My massage included heated stones and essential oils. I was very please with my massage, and will reach out to Frank on my next visit to Philadelphia. read more

Tea L - I don't know how often you go for a massage, but I have a couple of suggestions. If you are uncomfortable at all - go ahead and talk about it with your masseuse so you can get that out of the way. Otherwise, it is unlikely that you will be able to enjoy the session. I remember the first time I went to see Frank and realized that the studio was in his apartment. I only knew because I could see the kitchen from where we sat in the living room as we talked. Any personal space of Frank's was completely separated from the massage studio and its dedicated bathroom. There are curtains and sheets available for privacy and coverage. Frank always demonstrates absolute professional courtesy regarding clothing and disrobing. Also - communication is essential with a masseuse. How else will they know? Frank can give all kinds of massages. I just wish I could stay awake through all of mine! He just does such a thorough job that I find myself waking up several times. Obviously I feel totally safe. read more

Frank was professional and competent. This was probably the best massage that I've ever had. I liked how Frank first got to know me and assess my physical stresses. I'll certainly recommend him to family and friends. read more

Placed a bid at a silent auction and I won. This was my first professional massage and it was great. Frank is a very knowledgeable masseur. He quickly identified my problem areas. Truly the best body work I've ever had. I'm a D.O. and often develop spasms in my upper back and shoulders. I was in desperate need of relief and was able to book last moment using the online reservation tool. Frank is lighthearted and immediately puts you at ease. Instead of just jumping into a cookie cutter massage, Frank takes the first 15 minutes for consultation and body posture assessment (don't worry- this doesn't cut out time from your body work!) He also incorporates meditative breathing and teaches you small adjustments to make your posture better. His knowledge base of anatomy and myofascial techniques allows him to get to the cause of the pain almost immediately. Before I walked in for my session I was having trouble even sitting without pain and after one hour I'm able to freely move without pain! As a doctor, I truly believe the work Frank is doing is an invaluable resource to help treat and prevent pain! read more

I went here and got a massage about a year and a half ago, but couldn't find my Yelp login info for awhile. Nonetheless, this guy was great and I wanted to write a review now that I was able to log in. I am a female in my 20s, so I was a bit hesitant to enter a man's apartment to get a massage, but I ended up feeling more safe and comfortable than I do in some of those small, East-Asian locales with plastic furniture covering everywhere. His apartment was comfortable, spacious and really warm and inviting. He spent about a half hour just assessing my posture, my movement, walking habits and lifestyle and that was on top of still giving me a full 1.5 hours of massage - he didn't cut into that time at all, which I appreciated. The massage was fantastic! None of that clapping/smacking/light strokes. He goes in and hits the muscles that need it, so it wasn't the most relaxing, but I also didn't go to him because I wanted some stupid spa adventure, I had muscle aches and nerve impingement and I needed a professional. And he fixed me. He knew the areas to focus on, even if they weren't what I complained about because he understood anatomy because he is a professional. I should also mention that I'm a physician and so I really could assess that he was knowledgeable. You would be hard-pressed to find someone as good in the area when you really just need to fix your hurting muscles! read more

I have been looking for a long time for a good massage. Frank has ended my search. His hands are magic. With each massage he takes a few minutes to ask about my needs. To discuss my stress's. I found Frank's space to be warm and inviting and calming. I was very much at ease. Frank asked what I hoped to get from the massage, which took me aback because this was my first professional massage and I didn't know what to expect at all... but very much appreciated that he was prepared to tailor his services to my needs. He talked about the kind of bodywork he was going to do, and kept me comfortable (emotionally as well as physically) throughout the massage. By the time it was over, my body felt relaxed all over and I felt a calmness that had been lacking for awhile. I would definitely recommend Frank's services to men and women looking for therapeutic massage-- and even more so to folks who are a little timid about trying things new, because Frank's warmth and genuineness made it very easy to let go and just enjoy the touch and manipulation and release of tension. read more

Wow! I can honestly say I have never been so relaxed in my body and calm in my mind as my first massage with Frank. I had googled "migraines/massage/philadelphia" was looking for a board certified masseuse and his name came up. I have chronic migraines that medications, botox, acupuncture, etc have provided no relief from,so I thought I'd give him a try. I am not new to massage, I have had many (Canyon Ranch,Kripalu,Lodge at Woodloch, Hershey spa, etc) and have tried every technique. I've always enjoyed a good massage, but this was different. I can't really pick one specific thing that made the experience so awesome it was many things. Frank takes the time to discuss your issues/evaluate you. He gave me insights and suggestions on how to best care for my issues outside of his studio. The studio has a very safe, zen like atmosphere. Beautiful studio, clean & welcoming. In a room with lit candles, the smell of essential oils and beautiful soft wavelike music it's hard not to breathe in and take a long breath out. I was really impressed how he tailored the massage for my body's issues. He was able to sense of what my body needed to relax and let go of stress. It wasn't a cookie cutter massage. He did a combination of myofacial, craniosacral, trigger point, hot stone, thai reflexology. What a talent to be able to pull from so many techniques and seemingly effortlessly make it feel like a flow. It was truly an integrative massage. Bottom line,he was able to break a 5day migraine cycle I was on and though it didn't stop them all together I have definitely felt better after going back several times. I highly recommend giving Frank a try! read more
