I would not recommend this at home care service. The folks who run it are unfortunately…read moreunprofessional and do not communicate with their clients. I would only give it a one star, however, we have had some really great people who were lovely and competent. They have a high turnover rate due to low wages and hiring folks who don't have enough experience or were just there for a short time while they were at school. We have also had people who would come in and do their own laundry(under wear.) They use an app but it doesn't work half the time and the care notes don't really communicate what the other person did before them. They don't allow overtime for employees. We have been left without care before because they don't guarantee a replacement. They are also extremely judgmental about their clients. I would avoid them at all costs and speaking of costs, they raised the price and have dynamic pricing that they don't tell you when they raise it. They are also not licensed and bonded. Just steer clear and I haven't even mentioned some of the worst parts.

This location is not the best…read more Aside from the depressive feel of people sitting in the hallways or wandering around, pay attention when you check this place out. Residents with food on them, one laying in the floor, others on their bedding fully clothes in the same clothing for days at a time. There's definitely a storage of staff here, if an issue is addressed, they have excuses. It's hard to find a decent place, but I'd suggest checking out other locations as this one takes the financial side over the patient care

The only way this facility could be considered a desirable place to live out your golden years, is…read moreif you haven't compared it to any other. The meals are substandard, the staff changes rapidly due to the fact that they are not qualified and seek better employment, the whole feel of the place is depressing. They spend a lot of money on image, but let the place fall apart. It is often voted best facility in Woodland because the administrators con every inmate to vote positive. When my mom decided that she needed to move into such a facility as this she choose The Califonian. At the time we did no comparing because she had made up her mind that that was the best. The units have no kitchen facilities except a sink. The first summer her unit reached a consistant 93 degrees regardless of having the cooling switch on. (We found out later the switch was not hooked up to anything. The administrators controlled the system) We eventually bought her a portable A/C rather than have her live so miserably. The frame of mind of these folks is don't complain, because there is so much you have to dend on them for. Any way there are to many things to mention than I can fit in this review. After her living there a year we had such a true sense of how horrible tbe place was we started looking around for a better facility. She is now in a place that is professionally run, has truely capable people working there, the cafeteria is more like a restaurant, the mood is amazing, and on top of that it is less expensive. All I can say is check around before you put your loved one in this hell hole. I can testify there are much better facilities for the same or less expenditure.

The social worker Ernestine is reportedly investigating my sister for trips to the grocery store. My dad is able to get himself in his wheelchair to go tot he bathroom or get a snack out of the refrigerator. Most of the time he is happy resting in bed. The one time he fell my sister was at home. He didn't realize his legs would simply give out under him. Hence the wheelchair now. It seems like spite investigating my sister and it's causing stress for my father. The whole thing could have been prevented but she seems to want to have a p----ing match with my sister. So unprofessional So now my dad is trying to find another option through his primary physician. Not what he needs to be doing. He should be peacefully resting right now! They can't just offer peaceful resolutions?? So disappointing The nurses are wonderful. But Ernestine has been hassling my sister from the beginning. About 6 weeks ago.
