The sourdough toast was delicious! I also really enjoyed the salted mocha coffee, the flavor was rich! The staff were all friendly and patient, we sort of held the line up because we were first timers but they were nice enough to allow us to order when we were ready and the gentleman who ran to the back just to bring me grape jelly, thank you!!!!

The amount of variety on the menu was pretty nice, looks like there's something here for most people. I had the Cobb Salad and was happy with the amount of colorful vegetables and toppings on my plate. It comes with mixed greens (glad to see more salads with mixed greens instead of romaine), roasted chicken, nice crispy bacon, a hardboiled egg, blue cheese, black olives, tomato, avocado and a good amount of dressing. It tastes very fresh and is a decent portion size, but in terms of flavor there wasn't much going on. It tastes like "greens" and that's kinda it. I don't know what the cause is, like it's seasoned but I just didn't get much flavor. Perhaps my pallet prefers stronger flavors over lighter ones, so take this with a grain of salt (figuratively, or maybe literally). If you're in the area, check em out.

This wonderful boutique bakery is located on Main Street in the historic district of Middletown,…read moreand is housed in a building that is over 100 years old (it used to house a bank). The bakery is co-owned by a local mother-daughter team! They make beautiful wedding cakes (a couple were there doing cake testings and creating their desired cake while we visited). The cake and frosting options looked amazing. In addition to wedding cakes they take orders for cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and a variety of pastries. Orders can be made in person or online. There are delightful servings of pastries (macaroons, cinnamon rolls, scones, tarts, cake slices and more) for sale in the shop. They also serve coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks. My husband and I shared a slice of carrot cake and it was so moist and delicious. It was reminiscent of my grandmother's carrot cake that I enjoyed years ago. I suggest going early for the best selection, they sell out quickly! There are several seating areas if one chooses to eat in the shop and the space is decorated simply and elegantly. The baked goods take center stage! In addition, the bakery offers workshops and classes about cake decorating and more. Classes are offered for beginner level and for those with more experience. The space can be rented for bridal showers, baby showers and other events. The bakery is open Thur, Fri, and Sat (There are Tues and Wed hours available for pre-order pick up). Do yourself a favor, experience this wonderful bakery!

And along with being a treat to look at, they're a treat to eat as well. I've gotten the opportunity on a few occasions, most recently at Bernheim Forest's ColorFest. I was impressed by first the creativity. Love the paint-your-own cookie kits, which include a white iced cookie and a sheet with edible watercolor paints. And to eat, I got one of the chocolate chip cookies. This was sweet, soft, chewy -- everything I want in this classic cookie. If you see Baked out and about or if you need some beautiful cookies made for a special occasion -- or even a not-so-special occasion too; they're good for all -- I highly recommend Baked.

Delivery was available on Saturday for a $5 up charge. I found them on the Louisville Take Out Facebook site. People asking about paint your own cookies were communicating with Baked or praising them for previous orders. Ordering online was easy and I got a confirmation that my order was received. A few days later I got my invoice (everything is pre-pay). Very simple process and my invoice confirmed my order for pickup and another for delivery. We purchased 6 shortbread cookies and with them got 4 plastic cups with food dye plus 2 paintbrushes. Decorating 6 was enough for me and my boys. The dye needed a couple of coats to stick so it wasn't a quick paint job. The cookies are really good - very sweet! I didn't need more than one for dessert. We also sent cookie packages to our parents and they loved them too. Delivery was on time and they rang the doorbell at drop off. Thank you Baked! I'll definitely continue to use and recommend them to others. I'm glad to see our local community supporting them. They're having some of their strongest sales ever!

We ordered sweet and savory baked goods. My savory item was the pepperoni pizza croissant with marinara and the sweet was the cherry cheese danish. The pepperoni pizza croissant had a little kick to it. Very good especially when you heat it up. The cherry cheese danish was not too sweet and crust was flaky good. My husband had the cheese and egg kolache and the cruffin. The cruffin was buttery and with chunks of blueberries. The kolache was butter with fluffy eggs on the inside. The girls had cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissant, and a ham and cheese croissant. No complaints just full bellies! We will definitely stop back here again to enjoy other yummy goodies!
