I bought a dish towel that the owner, Heidi, made a special trip upstairs to say that buyers at the market say they can't keep them in stock, they work so well. So of course I had to try one and picked it for my daughter in law who just gave birth to my first grandbaby girl so pink, of course! The prices were competitive with other shopping we had done that day. The warm welcome ensures we will return!

Otherwise we received pretty good service and amazing foot massages. $68 for their fanciest pedicure. They have a large selection of polish and looks like they do pretty cool nail designs too. Honestly, this may be one of the worst nail experiences I've had. I've been here twice, the first…read moretime was great and I left very happy. I got a full set of acrylics, with plain french tips. Very detailed and looked great. This second time, was terrible. I called to make an appointment at 10, for an acrylic fill, arrived like 5 ish minutes early- not expecting them to like jump up and take me early. However Jenny comes over and takes me as soon as I arrive, we sit down and she doesn't ask me for any reference pictures. I show her two anyways. I am very specific when it comes to shape, I like a very sharpe square look, no tapered sides. I explain this, show my pictures (the nicely done pictures) and she takes a picture of one of them and says "No problem". I have about 3 weeks of growth so it's a pretty good gap. She puts clear acrylic over a pick acrylic, so the color is off and it's very easy to see where the OG nail acrylic is and the overlay is. She then puts on a really cute nude pink- no problem, I am expecting like 2-3 layers so the color matches. Nope, just one layer. Then she starts on the french tips, as seen in the reference photo, the french tips are relatively skinner than normal french tips. She asks me if that's how I want them, I say yes, we begin. After doing one and getting my approval- she starts doing the rest. Then the french tips just keep getting bigger and bigger, it seems like french tips are not her specialty so I let it go because I don't hate it. As we are doing it, she is very rushed and slow at the same time. She also keeps correcting how my hands are and how deep they need to be in the blue light machine, becoming a little aggressive when telling me to put it in more and moving my hand in. There were multiple times my nails touched the machine because she pushed my hands in. The polish got messed up like 2-3 times and my nails were collecting dust. She didn't fix the polish, just painted over it. She also kept on saying "don't worry we're almost done" "almost done", mind you, I never said anything about how long it was taking or acted annoyed, so I was caught off guard by this. Then after she finished with the french tips, I asked if there was any way we could just put some more color on the gap (where OG acrylic was and where my nails grew out) because the color difference was pretty apparent. I emphasized how sorry I was for not mentioning it before and if it was too late, then I really didn't mind. She got frustrated immediately and said "ok fine", did it very quickly and shoved my hands right back in the machine. Then after we were done, aggressively took my hands and put lotion on them (didn't even rub it in all the way), then said "ok meet me up front". So I go up, she says "you have venmo?" I say "yes" and she just clicks the no tip on the machine and throws her phone down saying, "here's my venmo". Mind you, I went in for an acrylic fill and paid $70. I believe that is outrageous, especially with a new full set being $90-$95. Then I tipped $20, 1 because I just really wanted to get out of there and did not want to confront her as I thought the "fix" would come out worse and 2 because I love to tip. Overall I hate my nails, the shape, color, and painting is just terrible. My thumb nail is so bumpy and sloppy. The french tips are very streaky and bumpy. The shape is awful, it doesn't match the corresponding length or shape of the mirrored finger. There was also left over paint and acrylic on my fingers. The price and attitude from Jenny was insane. This experience was so different than my first time there, hence why I put 2 stars instead of zero/1, because maybe you just have to go to specific people to get quality. They might look fine from afar, but in person they are awful and not what I expected based on my reference pictures, previous communication, and from my experience last visit. Overall, I am at a loss for words, upset, and will not be returning.

We moved to the…read morearea in January and as you know, the world all but ended so we didn't get to do much exploring. Happier now that I have found a store that has everything I never knew I needed and so many things that would make awesome gifts for any occasion!! How many times do you get invited over to someone's house and not know what to bring? This store has it! They have cute novelty kitchen/home items as well as practical everyday items. We were looking for Christmas gifts for a few people that have everything but I'm pretty sure that one of them doesn't have a wine pour in the shape of a bird that sings (chirps) when you pour a glass of wine, so that happened! Currently, at the entrance they have a stand with hand sanitizer and masks! I love that they are taking things seriously. Fantastic store owned by a lovely couple with a great story!! Absolutely worth checking it out if not becoming a regular like I plan to!

Unfortunately, a week later, I opened one of my purchases to discover that it didn't work. Since I live almost 2 hours away from Manitou Springs, returning it to the store wasn't an option. Randy immediately offered to refund my money and didn't need me to return the defective merchandise. And then, Randy endeared himself to me forever by offering to send me a new item (that he personally checked to ensure it worked properly) and mail it to me for free. Next time I'm in Manitou Springs, I will definitely stop by again.
