When we were exploring local options, we knew our decision would be based on where we felt he would be 1) safe, 2) healthy and 3) loved. Everywhere we toured, we felt like he'd be safe and healthy. What set Two By Two apart was that we felt like he'd would be cared for by professionals who created genuine, authentic connections - as aunties, as kin. He was so little and our care priorities were more about him feeling seen, heard and addressed. Now that he's approaching Kindergarten, he's getting the same care while also getting support with socialization, learning emotional regulation, and the basics of academics (letter and number recognition, phonics). He has a group of close friends, uses feeling statements and is reading sight words and writing his name. All huge wins without robotic structure or impersonal instruction- which while inevitable in our school systems can wait until the elementary years. Two By Two continues to make progress in communication, family engagement and facilities. We've seen growth here and have been grateful for their request for feedback and impressed to see it implemented. Considering our care priorities and the experience that our son and we have had here, we will continue to recommend Two By Two to our neighbors and friends.

I cannot say enough good things about Yeni and the entire team at Pollitos and the loving, warm,…read morefun and safe environment they have created for all children in their care. Our son was with a nanny until he was almost two-years-old and we were worried about the transition. Everyone at Pollitos was so caring with our son and communicative with my husband and me that in no time he was right at home and thriving in his new setting. In addition to Pollitos being bilingual, we also love that they provide homemade lunch and snacks and even take care of washing his bedding, and when needed clothes-, all making life so much easier for working parents. They also have a wonderful outdoor play area, weekly music lessons and for the class with the two year olds +, a weekly lesson sent to parents each week so we are aware of the lessons, topics and projects the children will be focused on. But most of all what we value most is how much the entire team there cares about our son. Yeni will follow-up on the evenings or weekends when or son is sick, check-in if he had a hard day, or guide us through transitions like potty training. We will be leaving in the fall as he moves to 3K and I'm already so sad to be saying goodbye!

Since he started in February, my son has blossomed in the care of Yeni and all the ladies there. While he was first adjusting, Yeni was constantly in touch with us, letting us know how he was doing and sending us photos, which we really appreciated. Over these past few months, our son has grown into a happy, talkative little guy, counting in both English and Spanish and saying so many words! He loves all the activities they do at Pollitos--music, singing, artwork, and outdoor play. Every day when I drop off my son, I feel like I am dropping him off with his sweet aunties who scoop him up with kisses and hellos. The teachers send adorable pictures each day so that we see him having fun. We can't say enough good things about this wonderful day care!

Lisa was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive from day one, really taking the time to meet him where he was. Over time, we saw such a big change, he became more confident, more social, and his communication skills improved so much. It was clear he felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. The environment is warm, structured, and nurturing, and Lisa truly knows and cares about each child as an individual. We're very grateful for the role this daycare played in our son's early development and would wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking for a loving and thoughtful place for their child. We have so much love for Lisa and her family!

She loves going every day, and Sylwia and the rest of the staff are genuinely excited to care for her. We did a lot of homework and research when choosing a daycare. While there are many good options in the neighbourhood, Hip HIppo's Sylwia stood out immediately. Her Early Childhood Education (ECE) background is matched by something you cannot teach: a genuine, deep love for children. The way she greets each child with smiles, anticipates their needs, and celebrates their tiny milestones makes it clear that this is her calling, not just her job. She sets the tone for the entire daycare, and it shows in every corner of Hip Hippo. And boy, did we make the right choice. Our daughter loves it here. Because Hip Hippo is a mixed-age daycare (4-6 months to 2-3 year olds), she has made friends close to her age while also being immersed in what the bigger kids are doing, and her vocabulary has grown astonishingly fast as a result. There are activities every day: music class, cooking class, and cultural activities. The mini playground in the backyard is one of her favorite spots. We cannot recommend Sylwia and Hip Hippo enough.

She's a little over 2 now, and can count to 20, knows all of her colors and letters, and so much more. It's small (under 15 kids total) and mixed ages from 6 months to 3/4 year olds. The babies 'grow up' with the bigger kids, and the bigger kids learn to help the little ones. Each day there is a 'class' (cooking, art, music, science, etc.) and each week / month there is a learning theme. They have a backyard and go outside to play almost everyday if the weather is permitting. In the summer, they spend a lot of time outside playing on the water table. The small group of teachers have an education background and are like family, and truly care about your child and their development. Meals and snack are provided, which makes it so much easier. Couldn't recommend more!

She attended BB full-time - first in their infant room starting at 4 mos and then in the toddler program through 2.5 yrs (she only left for 3K). Eunice, the head of the program, is wonderful. She is accessible, helpful, always available for a phone call, and very hands-on, so she knows each child well. The staff in both the infant and toddler room are great. They supported our daughter (and us, as first-time parents!) through her many transitions (bottles to solids, crawling to walking, nap schedules etc). Our daughter was always excited to go to daycare, and was in good spirits at pickup. Other things we appreciated: private and spacious outdoor space where they also do winter and summer activities (splash pad, picnics, etc), food provided/included in tuition once your child starts eating solids (the convenience of this is not to be underestimated...), very flexible in general, photos/videos/messaging easily accessible via Bright Wheels app. BB is a special place!
