Gotta be honest, I tried this place with my fiancée and friends and it was a really lackluster…read moreexperience. Super expensive with terrible drinks that tasted nothing like how they normally should. Service was unbelievably slow, unprofessional, and it took two guys with nothing to do to make three unbelievably overpriced drinks in incredibly cheap plastic cups with ice that tasted like wood chips. While the ambiance and atmosphere of this place is pretty good, that's where it stops for the most part. The music selection system is not intuitive at all and god help you if you drink enough to enjoy yourself because you WILL NOT understand the system after a while. In good faith I can't rate this place very well and that's a shame because it does have the potential to be really cool; the biggest hurdle is the terrible device and assistance. If they put as much effort into the staff/service as they do the room layout and high drink prices it would be so much better. Because of how weird the staff vibe was my friends kept making jokes that this place must be made for money laundering lmao EDIT: HOLY SHIT down to one star from two; the final fees were insane. Not only did the staff purposely not notify us about going over time, but they charged additionally by the minute. $109 for less than two hours and that doesn't even include the $50 for the three absolutely terrible drinks. Even checkout was bad as the two staff kept looking at us like we're trying to steal something or leave without paying the bill. The entire vibe was awful on our way out as the staff mumbled at us and refused to make eye contact. Legitimately terrible at the end.

This pitcher of soda was around $20 Pitcher of water -free. They charged cleaning fee of 18% It was pricey but it was worth it because the area is safe and the place was clean. It was easy to operate their sound system, Walter the staff taught us. You have to prepare the songs you want to sing to enter to the karaoke sound system. Lots of parking and restaurants around the place. We didn't order food so I don't know about their food, but they only have snacks.

From the moment we got in, the vibes were great and the energy was perfect for a fun night out. One of the coolest parts was that they even have a small stage platform with a golden standing microphone, which made everything feel like a mini concert. It definitely leveled up the whole karaoke experience and got everyone hyped to perform. Huge shoutout to Jay, who took amazing care of us throughout the night. Super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The service was top-tier and made us feel really welcomed. Overall, we had an amazing time and would 100% come back. If you're looking for a fun karaoke spot in San Jose with great service and a lively atmosphere, Genting Karaoke is it!

The space is super clean and feels new, and the staff are incredibly friendly. My cousin accidentally booked the wrong date, but the owner was so accommodating and still managed to fit us in right away! I really appreciated that level of service. They let you bring your own food and drinks and even provide ice and cups, which really sets them apart from other places. The karaoke system is great too, everything runs off YouTube, so the song selection is endless. Highly recommend this spot, and I'll definitely be back!

There is a parking lot at the back of the restaurant which is where this bar is located. It's a close-knit bar, but it does get a decent amount of people inside! The drinks are delicious. I highly recommend Jalapeño Business (mezcal or tequila, cucumber, jalapeño, agave, fresh squeezed lime). SO refreshing with a chamoy tajin rim. I also enjoyed The Nightcap (vodka, bailey's, cold brew, coffee liqueur). The bartender was very friendly and made the drinks quickly! You can also order food (since it's connected to a restaurant), and we ordered gyoza and shrimp tempura which came out piping hot and were both delicious. Definitely stop by if you're looking for a chill bar to get a drink, it is a small space so just be aware your conversations can easily be heard by others. Not a problem if you're friendly though!

Torii's - Where the Room Finds Its Rhythm (and You Find Yours)…read more There is something about Torii's that does not announce itself--it reveals itself. I came in like I usually do... no expectations, just present. And that is when this place tends to meet you halfway. Karaoke here is run by the Tipsy Chiks--Angie with Scotty 2 Hotty--and what they have built isn't just a rotation, it is a flow. You can feel it when the room settles in. No rush, no pressure... just a steady current that lets people be exactly where they are. Scotty 2 Hotty keeps things smooth behind the board. Sound is consistent, fair, and dialed in enough where you can trust the mic. That matters more than people think. It gives you the space to either step forward--or just ease into your song without forcing anything. And Angie brings that balance on the front end--welcoming without hovering. It is a subtle thing, but it sets the tone. You do not feel watched... you feel included. The crowd? A mix. Some regulars, some first-timers, some people just figuring it out. And that is the beauty of it--there is no single "type" here. You can go big, or you can go inward. Both land. I have had nights here where I just sang for myself... and somehow the room came with me anyway. Not loud. Not over the top. Just present. That is a rare thing. Bartenders Alexis and Sherry keep it grounded behind the bar--quick, aware, and real. No fuss, just good energy. Torii's doesn't try to be the loudest room in town. It is something better. It is a place where, if you let it, you will hear yourself a little clearer. I will keep coming back.

Walking in, could use some major updates. Nobody asked if we wanted a drink or check over the menu while we waited to be seated in our party room (waited in bar area an hr). They finally started cooking two hours after arrival. Then waitress was AWFUL! Literally I just cannot say anything nice so I won't. The hibachi chef was nice, he did a great job, no complaints there, tipped well. We were here for 4 hours (only 45 min of that eating). We did try a sushi roll for our first time it was actually pretty good. The appetizers were delicious! The soda was flat and not the best. Overall, no I wouldn't be back.
