I don't ever like to leave a bad review but we had took Mom out to eat from her assisted living. Supposed to be a treat. We sat by the bar and although it's nice to see a family owned restaurant you shouldn't allow your kids to sit and yell to a point we got up and tried to move around the corner from them. Don't listen to the people leaving less than 4 star reviews. This place SMACKED. We had violently low expectations for 2 people from KC and in a very small town in the middle of nowhere. Haven't ate at this restaurant in quite some while they have opened a new restaurant in Kingston but haven't stopped in yet

We received very polite and attentive service from both the hostess and the waitress. They have a very extensive menu. It includes several combos and a good number of vegetarian options as well. I ordered fajita beef enchiladas, which were great! The tortillas are freshly made. The enchiladas were cooked properly. The staff members we saw both had masks in and were wearing them correctly. Sadly, only 1 other table of customers even seemed to own masks, but we were spaced away from them. read more

Food was very bland and lukewarm at best. had to continually ask for refills we ordered queso ir was super runny wouldn't even stay on chips just ran every where wasn't warm. So as a group of friends and I were on our way back from Lake Texoma we stopped at El Tequila for lunch. There is not a lot of good I can say about this restaurant. It was the worst mexican food I have eaten and the services matched the food. The building is extremely smalle in cramped. Needless to say we would not go back. read more

Stopped in to this little place while on a motorcycle trip! Wow! Blown away by the fast and courteous service. I had the beef tamale plate and my wife the talupa. Both were amazing, the beer was ice cold and the food came out on a plate so hot I couldn't touch it. Total meal with 4 beers was $25 :) read more

I wish I would have read the reviews on this place before we went (one being my sisters review, about 3 years back). It hasn't improved much over the years from reviews of crummy service. We were at Texoma and didn't realize almost everything was closed on a Sunday evening in Kingston.. so we headed here since we were craving mexican. There was a group of 6 of us (three couples), and although we got seated fairly quickly, we had to sit at different tables. Even though our tables were literally right next to each other and could be pushed together... they said that wasn't possible. But besides that, I'll say my food was really good. I got the Carnitas De Pollo. However, our waitress came out and told me they were out of rice and "beans will have to do". When I asked "Are there any other sides because I don't reeeally love beans?", she stared at me and said "It's just beans, or nothing". So double beans it is. I also never received my tortillas. We didn't get water refills. Just terrible terrible service. I don't think they bother to really improve since it's a small town near a lake, and they're going to get customers either way. Overall, if you don't care to have a great experience, try it out. Either way, we won't be coming back. read more

I ordered caldo de camarone and got caldo de Pascado which is disgusting. I called and told them I got fish soup instead of shrimp soup and they said their shrimp soup comes with all the fish in it. So I asked what the difference is and they said the fish soup comes with everything except shrimp. Its so gross, avoid at all costs. It's a shame too because the first time I ordered the caldo camarone it came with only shrimp in it and was delicious. But since they've decided to change so will I, I'll change to another restaurant in town. read more

I really wanted to Ike this place, but we did not have a good take-out experience. We called in our food 10 mins. in advance, & I ended up having to wait 25 minutes at the restaurant for a taco salad & a burrito. It was 2:45p in the afternoon--not a peak time. The staff was nice, but they seemed disorganized, and no one acknowledged my wait or offered to check on my order. I had to follow up twice w/ different staff members. They also ended up forgetting one of our add-ons. /-: I will give a star for the food. It was good, everything was smothered, but good. They do have a lot of vegetarian items on their menu, but they do not have a vegetarian bean--only refried, which is generally cooked with lard. Just FYI, for anyone who may be ordering off their vegetarian section. Their atmosphere was pretty small & quaint, it seemed clean, so I will add a star there also. We may give it a second chance next time we are heading out of the Texoma, but from our experience this time around, we could have grabbed Taco Bueno in Ardmore. read more

Surprised there are no reviews on this place. Approx 15 tables and the place is packed on a Wednesday at 730pm!! We started with the queso and it was quite tasty. Beers were $2.25!!! Both the wife and kid had faquitas with steak and chicken.... Purely made with love!!! I had the chimichanga and it was mediocre but tasty rice and beans. Next time I go faquitas!!! Service was good except all the food came out with no tortillas for the faquitas. Took 5 minutes but they were fresh!! We will be back next time we go to Texoma for the weekend. read more

As good as the food is, which it is really good. The service here sucks sucks sucks. I came here around three there were only two other couples here. Our waitress came right over and got our drink order. About 20 minutes later we received our drinks. She left and came ba k 10 minutes later and took our order. The food came out in about 15 later and was it delicious. This is the last time we seen our waitress. Had to flag down another waitress to get refills. I went back a week later and same service. The food here is awesome but mind you that once you get your food your on your own. read more

I ate here twice in a week while staying in Madill on business. I tried the T-bone steak and shrimp plate the first time and a chicken enchilada plate the second time. The steak was cooked correctly according to my order and the shrimp was great. The chicken enchiladas were covered in verde sauce which was great as well. Their rice was the best around! The service was good but I did have to wait quite a while the first time I was there before anyone brought me a menu or took my drink order. The best thing about this place is their menu is extensive so you have tons of options. Would definitely recommend and will revisit if in the area again! read more

My husband and I ate lunch here. It was really busy but we were seated and served quickly. This is an authentic Mexican restaurant (they serve menudo, horchata, etc). The chips and salsa were very good. I had cheese enchiladas and my husband had carne asada; we enjoyed our respective orders as well as our side order of guacamole. If I could leave no star I would. Worst Mexican restaurant EVER. Was sat down right by the restroom first off, waitress came with chips and ONE salsa for 3 people. She came to take our drink order and asked if we wanted extra salsa, of course we said. She never came back for a while until taking our order, we had to ask again for salsa. My mother in law specifically asked if chicken tacos had onions in meat, waitress said no also husband ordered chicken fiajita nachos with only chicken cheese and jalapeño only. Our order came out and mother in law tacos had onions, husbands nachos came with EVERYTHING on it. Asked the owner about it and told him it was wrong well he argued with me. Also found a hair in our chips!! They sent the nachos back to be made, well we decided it was taking to long so I end t up to cancel order and he told me they never made it! So we left! TERRIBLE - NOT EVER AGAIN IF I WAS STARVING AND THE MEAL WAS FREE ! Unfortunately, no way to leave zero stars. Chips were stale - the mixed fajitas were greasy, overlooked, and dry - the flour torts had been wrapped up somewhere for a while, and one of the torts had something on it - a piece of old, burned food, or something - disgusting. The meal was barely edible, but there were not many eating choices in this small town. But the real fun started when we paid the check - we were each given a 1" scrap of paper (separate checks) with ink so faint ya couldn't see anything - they charged both me and my friend for the drink that he had (I drank water) - we both requested the 20% Senior Discount that was advertised at the door - the cashier ignored my friend's request and charged him the full amount, and when I asked the guy at the checkout (the owner, I think) for the Senior Discount, he asked for my ID - I'M FREAKING 67, AND I LOOK EVERY DAY OF 67 !!! AND AFTER ALL THAT HE STILL CHARGED ME FULL PRICE!!! Then when I pressed him for the Senior Discount, all of a sudden he didn't know how to speak English. Then he said, in English, "how much do you want to pay" - I told him I wanted to pay what was fair - $8.99, less 20%, plus tax - should have been $7.76 - and the SOB still charged me full price - if you have to eat here, double check your bill, and double check your receipt, and double count your change - WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !! read more

Salsa was bland, half the tortilla chips were tiny pieces that were useless for dipping. I ordered the chili relano and was told beef filling cost extra. It arrived tasting warmed over and the filling tasted bland as well. I was never checked on by my waitress, nor asked if I wanted more chips or salsa, or a refill on my drink, which was less than half full during the course of my meal. I'm have eaten here three times. All three times the service has been slow and horrible. I don't know if it's the owner who stands guard at the check out counter but he can clearly see that customers are not being served and does nothing. I watched a customer try to engage him in a conversation and he was not interested. The food is just okay but it's not worth waiting for food that's just okay. read more
