I loved the empanadas - they were smaller than I was expecting but super fresh and tasty, with a nice texture (crispy outside, soft inside). I really liked the sauces that they came with. The bandeja paisa was very interesting. It was a plate with steak, chorizo, crackling, plantain, rice and beans, avocado, and egg. The steak was probably my favorite part - it was a very thin cut of meat but well seasoned and tasty. The beans were also delicious. Nate really liked the chorizo but I thought it was a little dry, and the crackling was very crispy but a bit tough. Overall I'm glad we tried this spot and would like to have more of their Peruvian dishes next time.

Fries and brussels were delicious, but the lobster mac is overrated (bland) and our steaks were mediocre. Both were slightly overcooked (not a dealbreaker, but for $85/each I'd expect better). Add in the fact that they just drown them in butter and salt to hide the poor cooking (somehow, very little sear and barely any grill marks on one of the two steaks). Service was excellent - I'll give it that, but it was a little slow at the end once our meal had concluded to get us packed up / being a check. Atmosphere - it feels upscale, but that's just because of the prices and menu selection / options. Food came out quickly, portions were good for the price. They also validate parking for the lot just behind their building (street parking is tight / limited). Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'd come back. Good news is, there are lots of other options for special occasions in town so weigh your options before booking here.

I was impressed by Carvers ready-to-eat offerings in their refrigerated case.
