Was ck'd on frequently by courteous and proactive server dude. Usually don't get a choice on soft/crispy rellano, nice to have option. Combination section is hidden at the botton of the second page of menu. Ask if you dont see combo options. Food was fresh, tasty and on par with the rest of the chain. It was a nice surprise! Not your everyday Mexican restaurant. Some unique and authentic menu items along with enough standards for the less adventurous. It is hard to find lengua but I was able to enjoy lengua tacos! YUM! I can't really comment on the service since it was late and there were few other dinners but one waitress was absolutely charming and entertaining! Not good Mexican food! Me and my family are Mexican American family and this is not authentic Mexican food. We ordered tacos, enchiladas, and a burrito and all the food was bad. I mean it's edible but that doesn't say much, especially when the food prices are high. I had food way better for half the price. I don't mind paying more money for food if the food is good but this is not. The Decor is nice and the service was ok but if your looking for good Mexican food this is not the place. read more

This place is not related to the chain of this name that we have in California. Which is a good thing. The menu is extensive and will start you drooling before you get very far. I'm 6'2", 250 and active. My wife and I still elected to split a plate and we walked out full. We had a shrimp fajita burrito in cream sauce, beans and rice. The burrito was stuffed with shrimp, mushrooms and onions. It was to die for. A day later, my wife is still raving about the margarita she had. I sure wish they were near me. read more

Visited the restaurant last night on a Tuesday. Horrible service! Sat and waited for over 10 minutes had to find the hostess so she could tell the waiter. Ordered chicken nachos, got beef nachos. Server never stopped back to see how our order was. Starting eating the beef because it was the only option and potatoes were in it. Yuck! We moved to Fruita recently. We will be looking for a different Mexican restaurant in the area. Horrible service, terrible food. BTW, booth seats are torn and difficult to sit on. read more

Service was average to slow but I wasn't in a hurry tonight. They seemed in a hurry to take my plate before I was finished. It wasn't busy but I had to hunt for the waiter to get the check. The carne asana was ok but not great. It seemed dark and over cooked. I expected better for $15. But this seemed like a $5-$10 meal to me. The chips and salsa especially cabbage salsa were very good. Not a fan! They never even asked if we wanted to drink anything other than water! They brought salsa and some mexican cole saw to our table but did not say a word about it. It took forever to order with a whopping 4 other ppl in the whole place and 3 servers. We ended up ordering the mole enchiladas bc they were the daily special {which we ended up getting charged full price for - didn't put up a fight bc we would have had to flag someone down!} and everything else seemed way too overpriced in my opinion { guess I'm just used vegas prices for real mexican food} . The mole was ok I thought it was a little too sweet but my bf liked it a lot. The chicken was really good but the rice had crunchies and tasted like it was out of a box and the beans well they were beans... good with chips I suppose. Oh and let's not forget the obnoxious lady 2 tables down that had to comment on everyone elses conversations like its any of her damn business - true this would normally not reflect poorly on the restaurant itself - except for the fact about half way thru our meal she announced very loudly that she was an employee there ... the food was mediocore and I live 500 miles away ... We were staying overnight as we traveled through this town at the Comfort Inn and this was across the street. We were sooooo hungry and pursued it...the temperature was really hot and there was a disturbing smell, probably an air freshener only in the bar area, but walking through that and sitting down in the heat in the restaurant was difficult for me as I'm sensitive to smells and had a headache over it. Even with a party of 12 on a Saturday evening, we were seated and served promptly. The food and margaritas were very good. This restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel, and we were so happy that it was! The chicken taquitos were a favorite! We'd eat here again on our next visit. read more

Don't order take out! For the second time, we were extremely disappointed in their take out service. Our first negative experience was due to finding an entire entrée missing. The second was for an office party. We ordered three combo appetizer platters. We asked for extra chips, salsa and cabbage slaw. We received one very small container of each. I waited while they prepared my order so it should have been fresh, right? The nachos were hard and stuck together, the quesadilla was ONE large piece placed under everything else so it was soggy and the taquitos were not present at all. instead there was some kind of burrito messily cut up into pieces. read more

Blech. Great mexican food in Grand Junction is sadly almost impossible to find. There's a great fast food spot on North Avenue and another on 7th street near downtown but as for this place, it's a big no go for our family. We have friends who just love it and we went with them. The food didn't taste fresh and the place itself just doesn't seem clean. If it feels that way in the dining room and bathrooms, we can only imagine how it is in the kitchen. Wish I could say otherwise, as I love great Mexican food. Maybe, they will start to read the reviews and improve. read more

This is a regular stop of our on the route between Denver and Moab. They have a large selection of good food. Pitchers of Margaritas for the folks not driving. The wait staff is responsive and helpful, and usually friendly but that's been hit or miss. The prices for food are a bit on the high side for the are but the meals are HUGE and the food is good. 2 burritos will feed 4-5 people. If they mark something spicy on the menu, it's actually hot hot (not just gringo hot... and i'm a white guy that likes hot food so that's good..) read more
