    Barbacoa Tacos
    Kelly G.

Really good. Small place but the food was solid. I got Barbacoa tacos and it was good. Meat was a little bland but I added salt and make it fine. The consumé was AMAZING. Want to try the Berria Raman next time. My wife got a Chili Relleno and it was 9 out of 10. Great place. Looks like a whole in the wall sketch place but really solid.

This place is phenomenal!! By far the best tacos and nachos we've had in San Diego so far in our 10 years here. We tried the adobada tacos, the Carne Asada tacos, and the Carne Asada nachos. Everything was incredible, with a perfect char on the Carne Asada, tons of lime juice, a delicious mix of sour cream and cheese and cilantro and onions on the nachos, and thick roasted jalapeños and salsas included in the taco orders. We DoorDashed twice from here and everything was fresh and delicious both times. I highly recommend you give it a try! The tacos seem a little expensive when looking at the menu, but they pack them with tons of meat, so they're very worth it.

This place had the best barbacoa tacos I've ever had! Service was very attentive and friendly and the food came pretty quickly. While we were waiting for food we were given freshly made tortilla chips and salsas. Just a note, the location is a little tucked away and there isn't a lot of parking. It wasn't super busy on a Saturday afternoon and our group was the only ones seated inside (our group of 14 basically filled up about 2/3 of the available seating area). First time coming here visited Monday morning right when they opened was quickly attended to and food was fresh. You get your money's worth with how much they pack it up with birria the salsas were good too.

Amazing! This place is a hidden gem! Located right behind La Sinaloense this little taco spot is a must try! I had my doubts based on the location, but do not let the hood facade fool you! I went Tuesday morning, and the service was fast! For 3 tacos, consomé and an agua de Jamaica it was $26, however it was well worth it! The tacos are perfect sized! Not tiny at all and jam packed with meat! The gentleman said they are closed on Mondays and close by noon on Sundays! I highly recommend and will definitely be a repeat customer! So so good!

My first time here, and they did not disappoint! The food is delicious and give you big portions. Highly recommend coming here

Great tasting tacos served with a smile. Each meat tasted unique and was cooked to perfection. I loved the crispy grill on the meat especially the adobada. Salsas served family style with a spicy finely chopped chile/cilantro mix. Tacos are medium sized but plenty of meat to divide between the 2 tortillas. Birria was juicy and tortillas had the consommé dip before hitting the plancha. Carne asada was flavorful- no guac served with my taco but I assume you can request. Dining area is big enough for families and parking was easy. A true authentic place hidden off the main road but well worth the find. Looking forward to trying more from here. Cash preferred

Borrego taco, consume, chiles toreados, and the 3 house salsas (one of the green ones has habeneor, very solid if you like a bit of spice)

Casual ambience with great service and high quality eats. The borrego taco was generously portioned and the consume was tasty. Excited to come back if I'm in the area and they are open!!

We absolutely LOVE El Taller! From our very first visit, Carlos (the owner) made us feel like family - and now, we're here weekly. The customer service is homegrown, personal, and truly unmatched. And the food is freaking phenomenal. The meat is perfectly tender, the flavors are bold and authentic, and the menu is so diverse. My personal go-to's are the Carne Asada Nachos and the Birra Quesadilla. The guacamole and chips are made fresh every time, and you can taste the difference. The portion sizes are HUGE for the price, making every meal here an incredible value. But honestly, even if they weren't, we'd still keep coming back - because supporting this family-owned business means supporting people who put their heart into what they do. You're greeted with genuine warmth, and served amazing food that will have you counting the days until your next visit. If you're in the area and haven't tried El Taller yet, do yourself a favor and go. Once you meet Carlos and taste the food, you'll understand why we can't stay away.

Do not sleep on this place. Don't be scared by the hood ass complex it's in. TRUST I almost drove off. Ordered the Carne Asada Fries. They're $17.75 but well worth it. They weigh like 5lbs. Totally shareable between 2 people. Everyone will be good. The Carne Asada is Super SEASONED. It's good. It's like limey and salty all rolled into one - and has just the right amount of crisp. There ain't no gnarly gristly pieces. TRY THIS PLACE. GIVE IT A SHOT. I DID, AND DONT REGRET IT. The place is also known for the Barbacoa and Birria. I'll have to try it next time as apparently it tends to sell out!

Birria, Asada, & Barbacoa. My personal ranking in that order. Bomb!!!
    Lori N.

I knew this place was gonna be fire when I smelled rich birria in the air! We tried: - Carne asada fries (LOADED!! Perfect carne asada marinade.) - Birria taco (MY FAV! The aromatics and richness was just perfect) - Barbacoa taco (Such tender beef! Perfect with their 2 in house spicy salsas *drools* - Carne asada taco (SO FLAVORFUL! Period) Complimentary fresh fried chips & 2 salsas (1 green and 1 roasted). He warned us they were spicy and I was so excited. Music was a perfect loud salsa music. Was literally vibes. I'm still sitting here done eating and don't want to get up. So relaxing with their ceiling fans turning. The guy at the front was a-mazingggg! He was attentive and checked a few times if we needed anything else. Of course I had to let him know everything was FIREEEEE

The only thing I can consider to make it so was that they microwaved the chile relleno before putting it into the tray with the others. I could not eat it so I asked them if I could exchange it for the bistec ranchero quisado served over the same whole pinto beans, which they did. The bistec ranchero was okay. There definitely needed to be more of it. Some of the pieces were tender, as it should be, and other pieces were kinda chewy. They were tender and properly cooked, but were onthe bland side and could of benefited from some seasoning, garlic, onions, etc. They give you corn tortillas when you order a guisado, which were perfect for making tacos and dipping them in the sauce. They corn tortillas were good. The service was friendly and offered good conversation. They offer a variety of guisados, including beef with potatoes in a green sauce, queso panela with nopales, chicharron en salsa verde, mole, albondigas, and the chile rellenos.

So many that they even outnumber 7-11's. So we have a lot of options. Rambertos is a taco shop that has been in the Spring Valley area very early on. It has lasted the test of time. Since then years later, a Jack In The Box was built next to it and after that just recently a Yoshinoya on the other side. One of the reasons Rambertos has lasted so long is the consistent tasting food. The quality control is very good. Right now it's my family's go to taco shop. With a large menu, there are a lot of choices to pick from. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, sopas and carne asada nachos are among the things you can order. Well first they have been here for years. So they have to be doing something right. With so many changes all around. Rambertos still remains a constant. Secondly, the taco shop serves some of the best Mexican cuisine in the Valley. Thirdly, with everything from gas to groceries. Everything is expensive. Rambertos is affordable and won't break the bank. So support local businesses especially the good ones. Rambertos is exceptional.
