Genuinely one of the friendliest, happiest servers I've had in ages. She kept our glasses full, checked in at just the right times, and somehow made the whole place feel even more welcoming. To top it all off, the head chef actually came out and served our food himself, which was such a cool touch and made the whole experience feel even more personal. You don't see that very often, and it really says something about the people there. The food was brilliant as always, but honestly Hosanna was the highlight. Told the server once, she forgot, then when she passed, pointed to the coffee finally got some. Morning breakfast, I would think passing coffee would just be a norm. For food, I had the corned beef Bennie and it was good. Portions were okay. Husband had biscuits and gravy with eggs and hash browns, hash browns were burnt. Not very good. Overall, the food is good, the service is iffy. And I am not a prude, but honestly the attire they wear is a little off-putting. Short shorts, baggie shirts that are old and worn, and crochet vests. Holey jeans, short leggings. I don't know, not looking for a uniform, but maybe just a little bit cleaner and more presentable.

Our waitress was so kind and friendly and even the women seated nearby struck up conversation with us while we waited for our food. It just had that warm, community-oriented breakfast spot vibe. I ordered the blueberry lemon pancakes which were a seasonal special and wow, they were fantastic. Sweet but not overly so, fluffy, flavorful, and the combo also came with an egg and I chose two slices of bacon. All delicious and certainly plenty filling. The coffee was strong too, which I greatly appreciated. All in all, this was a five-star breakfast experience and the kind of local spot I love discovering while traveling.
